Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , but its dry and cloudy this morning in Brackley .
Today , apart from housework , I plan to go to Banbury by bus and spend some vouchers I had a couple of years back by getting a CD the Abba one , plus a few old DVDs
Then have lunch before a quite afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from murky Wiltshire, it’s definitely gloomy here today. The early dog walk was in thick fog and it’s still lingering now. Bumped into a friend with her dog so had a lovely chat.
I’ve cleaned and tidied upstairs, can’t do the living room because DH has all his paperwork strewn across the floor ‘doing his accounts’, goodness knows how he can find anything.
DDog is looking perplexed because he keeps shutting her in the kitchen.
I hope to restart knitting a baby’s cardigan in a bit, 3rd time lucky?

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
It’s grey in Suffolk too! The forecast looks a little brighter later in the week. ?
We watched sooo much rugby over the weekend, then foolishly started watching a film after the news. It was 1 am when we came to bed, so a late start.
I have packed a goodies parcel for DH’s niece who is in her first year at university and I must drop it off at the DPD depot. Then to get PVC table cloths for WI and the rest of the day will be ironing.
Lots of busy weekends on this thread today, so naps all round I think!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s a grey rainy day here in Lancashire. There are some repairs being carried out to the footpath so much noise of road digging at the moment. I have a few phone calls to make today and need to do a pedicure as I’m taking my sore foot to the GP first thing tomorrow. It’s not a pretty sight right now!

Happy Monday, have the best day you can and I hope a ? or ??might come your way.

Good morning from a dull and dreary Oxfordshire, We have the tree fellers in today to sort out the tall hedging and shrubs, they are nice chaps and always remember my name, so lots of cups of tea to be made.
Apart from that an easy day doing housework.
At last I was able to stop fretting about DD1 in London as she is home safely, if I had known what she was doing I would have been even more worried…..especially as one photo in the news looked particularly scary, but she is one who battles for a cause she believes in.
Anyway, hugs to all those who are not so well today, thoughts are with those who have worries and cares.

Good morning everyone from a dry overcast day here on the east coast of Fife. I do so prefer the sunshine to waken me in the morning. It’ll be a jammy day today after the restless night I’ve had. Apart from a Sainsbury’s delivery I’ll just rest up today. Hopefully himself will also get a rest this afternoon he’ll probably have an afternoon nap. What would we do without these naps wink

Hope all ye who are suffering this morning get some respite to enjoy the rest of the day flowers

Good morning from the A12 where it's grey like everywhere else.
We've left Colchester bound for Cornwall.
The workmen arrived bright and early to replace our bathroom so we've left them to it. Fingers crossed it's all smooth sailing.
Love to all x

Marydoll Mon 15-Nov-21 08:53:02

Grammaretto, I'm sorry that you are feeling this way. I think you may have misunderstood what I meant. Sometimes, when I am feeling unwell, I just want to be on my own, that way MrMDoll, doesn't fret and I don't need to put on a face. It can be exhausting.

Good morning everyone from North Wales. It's dry but cloudy here so will be off for a walk soon. It's needed after large lunch yesterday. Very enjoyable but lots of calories.
The 2 year old whirlwind kept us all busy and flaked out in the car on the way home I was told.
Have a good day everyone and hope all who have not been well or have worries have a better day.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s looking rather grey and damp outside.

I’ve woken with a headache after a very disturbed night, caused by who knows what.

DH has golf booked this afternoon if the rain holds off. Sorry to hear that you’ve been suffering from labyrinthitis again Marydoll you have my sympathy, it’s indescribably awful.

Hope things progress quickly for you Mattie, it must be difficult having to keep visiting Philip’s house.

I’ll probably have a day of pottering and will see where it leads me.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day and sending kind thoughts to those with burdens to bear.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

GrannyGravy13 Mon 15-Nov-21 08:37:18

Morning all

The sky is grey in my corner of S E Essex. I hope to go to the gym this morning, first time in a couple of weeks. Then it will be Christmas list writing in an effort to get organised. I have all my wrapping paper etc, just need gifts to wrap…

(((hugs))) to all dear morning friends with woes of one sort or another .

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. Rather grey but dry.
I am booked on a walk with U3A today in the Border hills.
We climb to Buzzards' Peak @ 1000ft. why am I doing this again?
Don't wish too hard for solitude Marydoll. I am missing DH so much right now.
I was with his DS and DM as well as DS, DDiL and the DGC yesterday. We watched Hamilton together on the home screen. I took a flow test beforehand as this wretched virus is still around.
DGS is 14 and taller than me now. I know what you mean Gingster smile

Wishing you all a good day whatever you are up to and peace to those with sorrows.

Urmstongran Mon 15-Nov-21 08:18:28

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where again we have sunshine and it’s dry and mild. We have no plans for today (yay!) so will just see how the day unfolds. I’m a bit later as I had a lie in this morning.

I cut my nails short yesterday and it seems strange as I tap out this post! I shall settle back with my cuppa and read all your doings. Enjoy Monday all who can. x

Good morning all and another dull day here in Essex.

Yesterday was lovely with some of the family here for lunch with DGD home for the weekend from Uni.Twin gs’s came too . Haven’t seen them in a while - they’re 15 and doing their ‘own thing’ mostly. Boy have they shot up. We are quite a short family and these two ‘giants’ walked in. ?. Lovely chaps!

Today I will have a first visit with my lovely girl’s baby boy.
I’ve bought him a personalised nursery rhyme book. Hope they like it.??. I made him a crochet blanket which I’ve already given her and she sent me a photo of him in his pram , wrapped in it.. nice to see they are using it, ?

Chimes group is cancelled today as one of our group’s husband has passed away. Quite sudden and of course a shock. This will mean our rehearsals and concert will be put on hold. Probably won’t happen as we can’t play with one person down. A sad time for a lovely lady. ?.

Best wishes to all who are poorly or have troubles. ❤️

Greyduster Mon 15-Nov-21 08:08:22

Good morning, Michael, and all GNs from a dreary South Yorkshire. At least it’s dry so far. Mick DS played the new ABBA album to me while we were cooking lunch and it’s good. I think I will put it on my Christmas present list! We had a long, jolly day with the York branch of our family yesterday and it was good to see them, but DH, who is not well at the moment, was exhausted when they had gone home so we had a very early night. It was nice to have help cooking lunch, but why is it that the slice of carrot you stick a knife in to see if they are cooked is actually the only one that is cooked!! Carrots seem to be a culinary issue in this house recently.
Today I have some shopping to do and then we are going to call in and have a cup of tea with my niece. Chicken and ham salad for dinner.
The best if the day to you all. I hope the sun is shining somewhere!

Pantglas2 Mon 15-Nov-21 08:03:54

A late (for me) good morning all from a dry and light north Wales where celebrations ? for the rugby win can be blamed for my lolling abed ? when I should’ve been on parade ?

DH has his booster this morning in lovely Llandudno and in our efforts to be greener ?we’d hop on the bus but they’re on strike! Never mind, we shall take the jalopy and I’ll do a shop in Asda!

Will pop back later and see what mischief you’ve gotten into...

ginny Mon 15-Nov-21 07:59:17

Good morning everyone. No plans to go out today. Some general tidying and cleaning and then some baking.
Our dryer gave up yesterday so I have sheets to get dry. Don’t use it all the time but can’t do without it when it’s cold and wet out. DH has sent for a part to repair it.
Kind thoughts to all with struggles or worries. Hope you can all find a smile in your day.

Scentia Mon 15-Nov-21 07:56:36

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is cooler today.
I did so much yesterday I am still tired today!! But the factory beckons so I will have my smoothie and scuttle off.
I am hoping to get a name if a big wig at the developer’s today as I have a friend who is a big wig in another developer who says he will investigate for me!! Not sure if it will help my campaign but I do like to speak to a decision maker?
Along with other stuff I did a litter pickers around the pond on our estate yesterday and I was disgusted in the amount of chewed up pop bottles from dog owners?
Have the best day you can folks and keep warm❤️

Good morning from Staffordshire.A very foggy drive over this morning and a very busy motorway.I was glad to get here.

A quiet day planned with B.He has been unwell on and off for a few weeks now.He has had numerous PCR tests,a course of antibiotics and copious amounts of calpol.Yesterday he ended up in hospital. After a very long and worrying day he has been diagnosed with asthma and is back home with inhalers and steroids.

grandMattie, hope things can be sorted out with Philip’s house soon??

Hoping GrannySomerset has managed to sort some respite care for her DH.

Glad you’re feeling better Mary.I understand the longing for a bit of peace and quiet!

Thinking of all with illness, upset, worries and struggles??

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 15-Nov-21 07:45:35

Good morning all from gloomy Harrogate
I Did manage church yesterday which was good
Today we will have DGS after school, I’ve yet to find out if we are picking him up from school. DH has a doctors appointment today, but doesn’t know what time or if it’s by telephone or face to face!! Tricky!!
This am I have my telephone ? call with my school friend, then later with my sister(s).
Sorry you have been so poorly Marydoll labyrinthitis is rotten.
Have the best day you can folks!

dragonfly46 Mon 15-Nov-21 07:44:12

Good morning from murky Leicestershire.

More dog walking today and lunch out with friends.
The dog keeps picking up the gravel from our garden in his paw. It is just one paw and I am not sure why he has just started doing it but after 2 trips to the vet I am now able to remove them myself.

Hoping everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone from a grey but dry Northampton. Just enjoying a large mug of tea before I get ready for yoga, being picked up at 9am.

Had a lovely lunch out with all the family to celebrate elder DGD's birthday yesterday. Steak and chips and red wine, yummy. DD, DD-in-law and I decided to forgo pudding in favour of an Espresso Martini! First one I've had since before lockdown, so doubly enjoyable. And the first meal out with the family for a couple of years. The new dress was worn, with yellow shoulder bag, and then I suddenly remembered I had a mustard yellow wrap sitting unworn in the wardrobe. Have decided to return to town to see if the orange bag is still there.......

A bit of pottering to do after yoga then this afternoon I shall get stuck into my new read for book club - Small Pleasures, by Clare Chambers- I have a week to read it in.

Take it easy Marydoll and enjoy your 'empty'.

Hope the rest of us enjoy a quiet day as well.

Grandmadinosaur Mon 15-Nov-21 07:39:34

Morning all. It’s grey here in East Yorkshire but dry and mild.
Yesterday was a quiet day. Got my wardrobe fixed so today I will have a sort out of clothes before putting them back. The back bedroom could do with a tidy up as well. I’ve been in several time’s looked at it not knowing where to start ?
DS had a letter from school saying a child in dgs class has tested positive for Covid. He has to keep an eye on J for any symptoms and test. A worry all around as Mum is in hospital on bed rest and his sibling due to arrive on Thursday.
Take care everyone.
