I didn’t explain my thoughts thoroughly.

What I meant was people will always read other things into what has been reported and start to gossip. You only have to see the odious Nicholas Witchell (Sp) on the BBC for example. Also a few weeks ago how we were told that was she was at Windsor when she was in fact in hospital - so untruths from the palace.

For your information what has been said so far is plenty adequate for me thank you.

Did you hear it or read it somewhere or is it just guesswork on your part based on no evidence whatsoever?

Nobody on here has detected any sign of it, so I can’t help wondering what you hoped to achieve by starting this thread.

HM has her mother's genes and she was tough as old boots. My bet is that the Queen has been out riding around Sandringham which might be enough to give her backache at her age - or any age!

Goodness me, just does not seem like dementia at all. As someone just 64 with numerous illnesses I think our wonderful Queen is in amazing health for her age. A back sprain is what I do believe is the issue - nothing more, nothing less. Of course - though it is sad to contemplate it - she cannot go on for ever, and will surely have to slow down, whatever that entails, I would definitely not think dementia comes into it.

No sign of dementia that I've noticed. I really don't think so.
I suppose it's possible and is being kept secret.
But she will never abdicate as she regards it as a god given duty to be our Queen. The family are stepping up more now, so I gather.
I do feel very concerned about her at the moment. We will lose something invaluable when she goes. And I hope people will give Charles a fair chance. He's a good man at heart.

Isn’t this the trouble though with the few trickles of information we get told? By saying that she is entitled to privacy over her health.

I don’t think for a moment that she has dementia. Her problem may be exactly as reported. Perhaps she slipped in the bath. Perhaps she has osteoporosis. I hope we will soon see her again.

At her age I would be more surprised if she didn’t have a few health issues, even with all her top specialists they can’t wave a magic wand
It’s a well known fact that a lot of people die within a relatively short period when they lose a spouse of so many years, and that’s without all the family arguments

Seeing her presenting her speech for COP26 I would be surprised if it was dementia. Put aside for one moment that she is the Queen. She is a 95 year old lady who has still been working. She has recently lost her husband and has 2 charmers in Andrew and Harry to worry her. Queen she may be but she is also a Mum and Grandmother. Things have caught up with her as they do with a lot of us from time to time.

What is this new thing that people can just say anything they like with no evidence. I think the Queen has hurt her back whilst trampolining, I have no evidence for this but it's what I believe.

No one has seen my 94yo mum out in public for months and months. She is as a sharp as a knife, totally on the ball, but she has worsening arthritis and her knee keeps giving way, so along with Covid, the best option for her is to stay at home.

If anyone was speculating that she had dementia because of this, I would be like Queen Victoria and would not be amused.
