Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, dry and cold here in brackley this morning , today besides normal bus trip out to Bicester .
I will continue to do some more housework before I go out.
The coach firm I use seem to be planning more day trips to shows and other events for next year .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Watery sunshine and a light frost for South Yorkshire this morning. We had a power outage in the middle of the night; alarms going off all over the place (either or there was an outbreak of burglaries!) so a broken night for me! DH snored on! Dare I say it, we are having our gas fire serviced this afternoon. If it actually happens I will run up and down the road, cheering loudly! At the moment I’m not holding my breath! GS finally sent his Christmas list. If I can find a branch of our bank (any bank) that hasn’t been closed, I will toddle along with my mask and gun. I have been practicing “hand up your sticks and gimme the money!” Bless you Kenneth Williams!?
Hope you all have something good in your day.

We were forced ? to go for coffee and buns to thaw me out !

Good morning from a brightening Cornwall. The sea is calm with a light pink sky. Far less wind than yesterday that was sunny with a cold wind.
We drove out and walked around several coastal villages finishing with a cream tea at the Lizard.

Saw this sign in a shop window and thought of Marydoll grin

Our bathroom at home is almost finished. The builders have contracted the services of a "mastic man" for today....never knew such a thing existed!!!

Love to all x

Good morning from sunny crisp Leicestershire, apart from dog walking nothing planned today.

Pleased to hear about your son Scentia.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Gingster Tue 23-Nov-21 07:56:52

Good morning all from a chilly Essex.

We were going out for lunch today with my two brothers and one sister in law to have a late celebration of DB1’s 80th. He was80 last December and this was the first chance of getting together. Sadly they are both poorly so it’s been postponed until the new year. ?.

I will pop up to the town to get a few more stocking fillers. I thought I had enough but the 3 littlest Gd’s need a few more. That’s before I get their main presents. ?. Bah humbug! ?.

As lunch is off, I will go to my Bridge club this afternoon.

Scentia glad your son is back on track. A relief for you. ?

GG enjoy Chelmsford. I went last week , and love the shops there. We did have trouble, though, finding a nice eatery for lunch. Our usual one had disappeared. We ended up in Nando’s - not great!

Take care all and enjoy your day. ????

Good morning from North Wales. Chilly today.
Will be off to town later for a forage. All my veg has gone so I need to buy more.
Pantglas I had my new Jack Reacher delivered yesterday. I have read all the earlier ones.
My nurse daughter is getting on well with her phased return to work after being ill.
I just hope she won't be expected to cover for 3 other people again as that is impossible to do for long.

Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Tue 23-Nov-21 07:54:25

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

I have to go to collect my new glasses this morning. I have been really unhappy with my current pair which seem to be a very inferior quality so am really looking forward to getting a better pair.

Urmstongran Tue 23-Nov-21 07:53:12

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where to dry with a sky of white grey cloud. No sunny streaks this morning and I can’t see the Pennines.

Another night of a solid eight hours sleep again. Best way to get right. Still a bit wheezy with no energy but I’m not venturing out anyway. I’m enjoying my first cuppa of the day and Himself is still snoozing.

Glad to hear all is sorted between your son and his partner Scentia. Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

LauraNorderr Tue 23-Nov-21 07:45:15

Good morning Mick, good morning all from a dry, still, chilly Anglesey.
Weather barn open Pant and AGA no rain or wind coming your way. Did my best.
Have mothballed PollyTickle. Prack Tickle doesn’t suit my lovely husband nearly as well as Orlin Norder which is how I feel when he’s in my life. The man who gives me the same love and respect I give him every day deserves a good moniker.
Lots of new babies seem to be arriving, the stork is definitely competing with the flamingo. Both bringing joy.
Glad to see you are getting some respite GrannySomerset, I’m sure you are feeling many mixed emotions but you really do need that respite, you’ve soldiered on for such a long time.
Have as good a day as you can everyone. I’m off to start my Christmas shopping on the laptop in the kitchen.
We have the little ones after school today so lots of fun for us and Orlin has baked some chic chip cookies for us all.
?

Marydoll Tue 23-Nov-21 07:39:52

PS. Pants, any attempts at making red onion marmalade, have ended in a gloopy, tasteless gunge. Do you have a foolproof recipe? Please? Pretty please???

ginny Tue 23-Nov-21 07:39:33

Good morning everyone.
DD3 and baby both have colds so won’t be doing their usual Tuesday morning drop in.
Ironing, baking and sewing on the agenda for me today.
Kind thoughts for all with sadness or illness , hope you can all find a smile in your day.

Marydoll Tue 23-Nov-21 07:36:40

Good morning Mick all from a chilly Glasgow.

Nothing to report at all, apart from the fact that my friend's daughter is improving slightly.

Glad to read that Granmarie has arrived safely in Chicago and off to the shopping outlets today. I am so envious.?

For the last year, I have been trying to source a tiered, metal plant stand for my many herb pots, to no avail. It arrived yesterday. I shall now have to sweet talk Mr MDoll into assembling it. He will be immediately suspicious, if I'm nice to him. I need a plan! ?

Glad to read your news about your son, Scentia, you must be relieved. As for Urms, good news about your cough, unfortunately it appears to have made its way to Chez Marydoll. wink

Wishing everyone, the best day possible. I have noticed a few regulars are missing, I hope all is well with them.

Grandmajean Tue 23-Nov-21 07:34:38

GrannyGravy13 Tue 23-Nov-21 07:29:03

Morning all

Yep it’s chilly in S E Essex.

We have The Imp today and the plan is to go into Chelmsford for some Christmas Shopping. I am usually so organised but my inner Christmas Elf is missing this year and I am finding it an arduous chore. Hopefully I shall be on track soon.

(((Hugs))) to al in need

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

brook2704 Tue 23-Nov-21 07:24:12

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold and dark with cloud forecast all day
I’ll be getting up soon after my second cup of tea as I’m off to my Fitsteps dance class this morning and then meeting my friend in town for lunch and some shopping. I’m looking forward to a good catch up and a browse around the shops. I think the shopping centre has its Christmas decorations up so it should look quite festive
Good news about your DS Scentia
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ??

Grandmadinosaur Tue 23-Nov-21 07:20:24

Good morning from dry, chilly East Yorkshire. Alexa said it was 1 degree.

A day of catching up with bits and bobs yesterday.
DS sent me video clips of baby including one where she was crying. Her lungs sounded healthy enough . There was one where he was talking tenderly to her that filled my heart. I can see her being a daddy’s girl!
No coffee morning today. One friend has family members she’d been in contact with tested positive so we decided against meeting up. She is thinking of me hopefully getting cuddles with baby soon and another friend with a poorly husband. Will have a phone chat instead. Dgs here after school today too.

Good news for you Scentia it must be a relief.
Take care all.

Pantglas2 Tue 23-Nov-21 07:14:45

Morning all from dry and dark north Wales where I’m contemplating today’s bizziness.....and there’s none ?

Might crack on making some Red Onion Marmalade which will be given away at Xmas, much to DH’s chagrin, and there’s a cottage pie to be prepped for this evening....so only culinary duties will interrupt my finishing of the latest Jack Reacher, Better Off Dead!

Hope all with troubles see some resolution ? and ?for all with some celebrations x

Jaxjacky Tue 23-Nov-21 07:11:17

Good morning all from a frosty S Hants. Pleased to hear a little chat helped your son Scentia,.
Bed is stripped, the machine will be on after my first mug of tea is finished. Meeting at the bank this afternoon, haven’t been into town for nearly two years.
Have a pleasant day all. ??.

Sar53 Tue 23-Nov-21 07:07:28

Good morning from a cold Essex by the sea.
I need to go out for milk later but apart from that not a lot planned.
Have a great Tuesday but wrap up if you are venturing outside xxx

BlueBalou Tue 23-Nov-21 07:02:28

It’s a chilly frosty start here in Wiltshire,. I had a lovely sunny but cold walk early yesterday morning with puppy but then it clouded over.
I need to do some baking today, and the ironing so a rather boring day ahead.
Take care everyone x

Beechnut Tue 23-Nov-21 06:36:01

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dark, cold and frosty.
Good news about your son Scentia.

I had a very lovely hour or so yesterday meeting the new baby in the family and mum. I’m off swimming today and then back home to do something for my brother. It’ll keep me out of trouble for the day.

Take care all and don’t forget hats, scarves and mittens if venturing out into the cold ❄️

grandMattie Tue 23-Nov-21 06:31:42

Good morning from a dry, moonlit E Kent. Although chilly, it didn’t feel that cold when I took the food caddy out for collection jus5 now.
We had the joy of both DS1 and DD calling yesterday. DS spent a happy 20 minutes talking to his dad about the weekend rugby. And it was DD’s birthday yesterday. 42! Where it the time go? We gave her money to have a good meal, they went away for the night!
Tai chi this morning and dentist this afternoon.
Hope that those with sorrow, anxiety or pain have a gentle day. Carpe diem everyone. ???☀️?

Scentia Tue 23-Nov-21 06:23:26

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels cold ?
DS turned up yesterday and we spoke about his problems and he is on his way back home today! Just a blip, thankfully ❤️
Off on Nanna duties today and DGS is at playgroup this morning so DGD and I will go shopping and have a walk around the park, I will take her pram as it won’t be many more times she will fit in it so would like to make the most of tucking her up in a pram before she is in a pushchair.
Hope all my friends on here are able to find a glimmer of hope or happiness and have the will to smile at least once today.❤️
Take care everyone and and stay warm ?

monk08 Tue 23-Nov-21 06:10:11

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country. Cold and dark here not been up this early for a while. We have the the gas coming to service the boiler between 8 and 1.
Need to pick up DH prescription just realised when putting his morning tablets out he had text last week saying that were ready.
Not much else planned, will catch up with everybody's news later.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed, enjoy your Tuesday and may you all find some ?.
