you'd never wear now? I wore gold lipstick, fishnets, a latex skirt, denim jeans.

Hotpants and thigh high boots!

Still wear denim jeans and mini skirts with thick tights!

Towering high heels all the time. Couldn't squeeze my bunions into them now.

A lacy, strappy vest as outerwear. No bra. I’d frighten the horses nowadays dressed in some of the outfits I used to go out in.

Cheesecloth tops
Maxi skirts
No bra
Different earrings in each ear!

I should have said, the only reason I don't wear denim now is because I don't find it comfortable. There is nothing wrong with it, as such.

A mustard yellow corduroy suit.

Actually, if I came across one I just might.....

I had some fabulous electric blue shiny, stretchy jeans I got from Cosmo. In fact, I’ve still got them, I couldn’t bear to let them go.

False eyelashes and stick on finger nails ,mascara is much better nowadays and my hands are always either in water of prepping for cooking so my nails are short and unpainted

I once had an orange silky blouse with long puffed sleeves and a huge bow. I wore it with a short black cord skirt. and my black shoes had a bar and a big bow too. What did I look like!!
I had calf high boots in black mock croc and my godmother bought me tights with guitars in the pattern. circa1962- I was so advanced.
I still like corduroy and have just bought myself a new dark blue cord dress.

A man's string vest which I dyed purple and wore over a strappy vest top. I also dyed my father's cricket shirt purple - I don't think he was impressed.
Very short skirts which my mum used to make for me in about half an hour.
Suede hot pants from C&A

Sweetpeasue Fri 26-Nov-21 19:50:36

Pretty much everything!

Like everyone else, extremely short skirts, flares, this was the time of hipsters, skinny rib jumpers and dangly plastic earrings. That period was followed by maxi skirts a year or two later, platform shoes espadrille wedges which laced up around the ankles in the summer, they're still around almost exactly the same. I remember some ridiculous multi coloured clog like things I was attached to. Early '70s, I was at work so just about able to afford Biba, I either blew all my money there or Miss Selfridge. I loved Biba's muted colours, including those incredibly long cuffs with a multitude of tiny buttons, impossible to undo so pulled over wrists. My favourite item I bought in that store were dusky pink over the knee suede boots. Sometimes I wore my hair up in a chignon, with loose tendrils. Fashions were often inspired by on trend films like Butch Cassidy and Bonnie & Clyde which both had an influence on what we were all wearing. The former launching Edwardian type blouses and maxi skirts with laced up boots. I think we all went out and bought a beret when Bonnie and Clyde became such a runaway success and did our best to suck our cheeks in trying to emulate the high cheek bones of Faye Dunaway grin As for make up, false eyelashes, deep grey socket lines with lashes painted underneath, everything was frosted eye lids, lipstick and then a short while after highly glossed and shiny.
