We once rented a house to find the owner had left a stuffed deer's head, with eyes that seemed to follow you around, in the garage.

My aunt has a statue that is like a shrunken head with its mouth open in a scream. Everyone in the family, even grown men, are terrified of it. She's tried to give it to people but nobody will have it.

A garden gnome, given to us as a joke, with an evil leering expression! Hid it in some shrubbery for a while, but come Winter it was all too visible.Eventually put it on the village green one dark evening with an attached note ‘I need a new home’.No takers for three days, but eventually it vanished.

We had a stay in a Warners hotel and as we were sitting in the lounge area two stags heads started to move from side to side and have a conversation with each other .

Years ago my DF brought a wall mounted finely modeled pottery head home - it was a leering Turk’s Head, dark skinned, wearing a sort of turban with very realistic black eyes. After a week, MUm told Dad to take it back to the shop as it really unnerved her. The eyes really seemed to see everything.

Not exactly an ornament, but still spooky (and pretty funny) nonetheless.

Years ago, Dad was taking a CPR course, and the instructor advised them to take out any chewing gum prior to practicing rescue breathing on the mannequins. He said that if you practiced with gum in your mouth, it would get into the head, and then you have to take the head off and put it in the freezer so you can get the gum out. He said the only issue is that if you're going to put the head in the freezer, you have to tell your roommate in advance, as he'd once had a head in the freezer, forgot to mention it, and his poor roommate nearly had a heart attack when he went into the freezer for ice cream or something and discovered a disembodied, realistic looking head!

Many years ago, early 1963, my boyfriend and I were babysitting for his brother. The little girl had a beautiful baby doll, it was sitting in a chair, but it`s eyes seemed to follow me round. In the end we turned it`s face to the wall, it was giving me the creeps!
