Hot chocolate stations

If I had to drink one if those huge hot chocolates with whipped cream marshmallows etc I would be ????

You shouldn't drink hot chocolate at bed time as it makes you wet the bed

Everything seems to be a big event now, involving buying loads of dedicated stuff - even making something that used to be just a hot drink at bed time.
I though buying marshmallows to sprinkle on the youngsters' drinking chocolate was fancying things up

I've got enough clutter in the bl**dy kitchen without adding more. Plus, I don't want anyone drizzling chocolate syrup and scattering sprinkles everywhere.

It's just a fad thing, and encourages yet more buying behaviour.
Who needs a "station"?

With the addition of whipped chocolate cream on top delicious!

It seems to be an actual station that you set up in your kitchen or on a trolley with jars of different flavoured chocolate, marshmallows, ginger bread men, colourful straws, glass mugs etc etc

I've just read about these on mumsnet.
Never even knew they were a thing.
What happened to just keeping a tin of drinking chocolate powder in the cupboard and whisking it into a pan of hot milk when the mood takes you?

Or even a jar of instant hot chocolate!

But I have to admit, those are a far cry from a 'proper' hot chocolate which I sometimes treat myself to when out.

Now they've plugged the hole in the market for proper coffee at home, I suppose it was only a matter of time before they did the same with chocolate drinks.
I don't know how people manage to cram all these must-have machines into their kitchens, though!

I'd have the backside the size of a small country if I had a hot chocolate station (presuming I have the right end of the stick and it's somewhere you can have access to instant hot chocolate and not a train station that has little taps that hot chocolate is contained within the walls

Do you mean the velvetiser things I have seen advertised? With weird chocolate flavours? I don’t understand why people can’t just put choc powder into hot milk either. Yet another must-have to clutter up the work surfaces and be binned before long!

I think its started as an Instagram thing ?.
Basically it's drink chocolate, toppings such as mallows , spinkles etc plus bottles of flavoured syrups all set out in specific area of kitchen to help yourself .
If your very posh the hot chocolate can be made in a velvetiser or in an aldis knock off
My hot chocolates kept in the kitchen cupboard.

I do have multi drink maker, Tassimo, it does several different pod drinks- ive not used it for months though..I really must dig it out from back of kitchen worktops & give it a good clean through..Probably have to discard all the drinks pods they must be out of date by now & they aren't cheap either.??
