Apparently Trump has been interviewed by Nigel Farage which will be shown on GB News at 7pm tonight. It is pre recorded rather than live so you wonder if the lawyers have been busy sifting through it for any slander? It could be interesting love him or loath him. I think I will watch it. How about other Gnetters?

They probably are lonely & housebound, & of course have every right to sit on gransnet all day long, I just wish I could hide their posts. It’s not much to ask.

sigh

So not $450,000, not each illegal immigrant. I'm not even going to get into a discussion about waht "illegal" means.

Sorry. I googled again. hmm

Well let's pick a bit.

$450,000 to each illegal immigrant. 2 minutes on Google disproved it.

Why should we think the rest is based on any kind of reality at all?

It IS based on reality. According to CNN when pressed about it, Biden didn’t deny that they would be paying compensation to the families separated under the Trump administration - in fact CNN report that there are ongoing negotiations. When pressed about the $450,000 figure reported, he said that wasn’t going to happen - referring to the sum, not the issue of compensation. All of this is fairly well documented on US news media.

Not really sure how we are going to put a stop to that grin

Nor should we - it’s amusing.

Galaxy Thu 02-Dec-21 11:20:19

Making list of things that are somehow wrong.
Adds googling.

The constant “better things to do” “they obviously don’t have a life” jibes are thoughtless . What if people are housebound , alone etc ? Speaking for myself I’ve been confined to barracks for days now with vertigo so should I not spend time on here ??

However the posters probably referred to are not but have every right to post about things they feel strongly about plus do research.

Coastpath Thu 02-Dec-21 10:50:00

Why is it funny that you can do a quick research on Google and prove or disprove something?

Is it not better than repeating something verbatim without even knowing if it has any basis in truth?

There’s 3 or 4 posters who seem to spend their entire lives on this forum posting anti government - anti brexit - anti Trump posts.
They clearly have very little else to do.

That’s when they aren’t ferreting away on Google ?

I did watch it and Trump came over in a very calm, lucid manner, in contrast to how the media have shown him in the past shouting etc at public rallies. I was surprised. He certainly shows no sign of dementia.

Calistemon Thu 02-Dec-21 09:48:29

Did anyone watch it?

More to the point - did anyone win the lottery jackpot? smile

I just wish GN would give us a ‘hide poster’ option like every other forum does.

Regardless of how anyone regards Trump there can be no denial of the bias displayed by the MSM. Biden is a joke, he’s an even bigger embarrassment to the US than Trump. Why they can’t come up with anyone better suited to the job I do not know.

I find it interesting how posters in the UK can belittle a post - someone called it nonsense - from someone in the US for telling it as she sees it. I think this thread is a perfect example of how closed minded people can be. We see almost nothing on UK news channels of what’s really going on in the US. Go on YouTube and have a look at the likes of Hannity and Tucker Carlson - they tell it as it is and the things that are going on in the Whitehouse at the moment would make your hair stand on end.

Sago

Boogaloo So interesting to hear from someone with a positive view on Trump.
My SIL works for a Silicon Valley company and my daughter did in the past, they have a lot of friends and colleagues in the US who feel as you do.
Here in the UK admiring Trumps presidency is akin to saying you enjoy murdering puppies.

?
I think we don’t realise here in the UK how popular DT was and still is in many places in the US.

I didn’t watch it in the end as I was chatting to a friend on the phone in another room......was it interesting, if anyone did watch it?

gmarie3 Thu 02-Dec-21 06:29:43

No.

Galaxy Thu 02-Dec-21 05:53:59

Well yes but that's no indication of lack of support for Trump, people have made that mistake once, it would be a bad idea to do it again.

GagaJo Wed 01-Dec-21 23:33:04

I've got friends and family in the US Sago. Don't know a single Trump supporter.

And also the fact that his VP is a black woman.

The idea that anyone could have thought Trump was successful as a president. Talk about Doublespeak.

Jane43 Wed 01-Dec-21 21:25:50

I wonder if they spoke about the ten plus law suits he is facing?

grannydarkhair Wed 01-Dec-21 21:22:25

Boogaloo if President Biden is “a nasty racist”, why has he forgiven “all the debt for only black farmers”? The two statements appear to contradict each other.

Granniesunite Wed 01-Dec-21 21:18:35

Boogaloo

Trump was the best president we have had for generations. He was all for jobs, the US and very much anti-war. Right now we have a dishonest creepy man with suspected dementia in the White House and nobody knows who is running the country - setting the radical agenda.

I have seen the contents of his son's Hunter's laptop and it is disgusting beyond words, but idiot Biden says that Hunter is the smartest person he knows. Biden is heavily implicated in the laptop contents.

When Trump was running for the White House in 2015/2016 we never heard the end of what he said in private 11 years earlier about some women letting men 'grab' them by the privates. The MSM never mentioned the lies & revolting things that Biden, who is a nasty racist, has said in his almost 50 year political career . Before the election the main stream media ignored the contents of Hunter's laptop and banned, from places such as Twitter, any entity which mentioned them.

To name some of Joe's policies; giving $450,000 each to illegal immigrants, forgiving all the debt for only black farmers (we farm for a living and are white) causing the total absence of fertilizer next year, high fuel etc etc.

We are frightened for the future of this country and the world in general because of the people we have in the White House right now. These are very dark times. But no more 'mean' Tweets from Donald Trump makes it worth it for some short-sighted people.

Rant over - as you were. smile

I suppose you can’t make sense of nonsense.
