Harry’s ‘pop’ at Charles

Harry has apparently had another pop at his dad this time regarding the payment for honours debacle. Harry seems to keep on attacking Charles and I wondered if there might be a particular reason for this. In all of the multitudinous reports on their estrangement I haven’t seen anyone wondering if H is doing this because he believes/knows Charles is not his dad. I am not suggesting that is true but it may be his ‘truth’ as others have put it. Perhaps it would go some way to explain his seeming lack of belonging. Just musing on a grey day, please feel free to wade in or not as the case maybe.

Oooh Calistemon we might be related. My granddaughter and my sister have red hair. How exciting!

Why daddy surely? Honestly what are you thinking? We all "deserve" to be happy at everyone else's expense ..... doesn't one?

I read an article the other day which said " she was placed on a peddle stool "
No idea what one of those is.

I'd have loved to quit my job for the benefit of my mental health! Great aspiration! But who would have paid the (modest) mortgage, put food on the table, clothed my child? He doesn't live in the real world.

Well this is what you should have done GSM, dressed yourself up in sparkly sequins and tangoed off into a Side Hustle . We all have the wherewithal to do just that! your niche would have been out there somewhere you probably didn't look hard enough sad

He looks like a young Henry VIII

Absolument!!!!! Oh yes he does! The rare pictures of HV111 as a young stud? He's the absolute spit. He's also showing similar qualities in the "I want it all my own way!" tendencies department too.........

This is not going to end well.
Neither of Harry's parents behaved well but they both loved him; now in his thirties with his own family he has everything he claims to want ; free of royal responsibilities, a very privileged lifestyle with the wife he chose to marry, an assured income and a new life, yet increasingly he reveals himself as bitter, spiteful and inadequate.
He blames his father ( for what, really?) yet his brother underwent the same trauma and is making something of his life, whether or not it is the path he would have chosen.

Estranged from his whole family and surrounded by people exploiting him for their own ends there is no -one Harry would listen who would show him what a pig mess he is making of his life.
The real tragedy is he thinks he is avenging his mother.

Harry’s first problem was that he was the spare. He married his second problem.

I like that, Germanshephersmum. Nicely put and tells the story in a nutshell.

....and each pronouncement he comes out with makes him sound more and more stupid and out of touch.

Yes, so we can add that to Germanshepherdsmum's problems list. Things always come in threes.

Maybe you can accuse him of plagiarism now. Or worse still - sounding like an American shock

^Apparently Harry is now saying that, 'Quitting work can be good for your mental health because many people around the world have been stuck in jobs that don't bring them joy.^

Online people are saying "How would he know?"

Isn't it wonderful the world has Chief Impact Officers, would that involve boxing I'm wondering hmm

It's certainly heartening to know that "Quitting work can be good for mental health" although did the Chief Impact Officer give any pointers as to how one goes about the dreary nitty gritty such as providing day to day necessities if one hasn't any financial reserves, or worse still one's father withdraws their financial support I wonder shock

Hey Harry all those people living in tents up and down the state of California might have quit work for the sake of their mental health and now they have to live on the street, somehow I don't think being homeless is going to improve anyone's mental health hmm Impact that!

There is no genetic link from Henry V111 to our queen.

Any links via Diana's family?

I think Henry VIII was the Queen's 14X Great-Uncle.

He's probably my DD's somethingX Great-Uncle too as she has red hair!! grin

Charles allegedly treated his mother

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 06-Dec-21 16:22:47

You won’t find much news about H&M in the Guardian or the i. I have always thought Harry’s main gripe against Charles is the way he treated his mother. I imagine William feels the same way. IMHO I think Andrew is causing far more problems than H&M.

I am sure Harry's red hair comes from the Spencers but what fun to think it has turned up from Henry V111 sister.!

Fun indeed! ?

à propos of nothing... I read that Diana used to sing to William when she was taking him back to school in the car. It used to make him less anxious about going away to school, he said. I'm sure not sending the poor little fella off to boarding school in the first place would have made him even less anxious. confused

Harry seems to be having a monumental teenage tantrum at the moment. He seems stuck in the past: angry at the Queen, Charles and his brother yet still using their names, titles and his mother for attention.

He needs to look forward for the new life that he chose with Meghan in the US - yet he seems to be regressing and angry instead.

He needs to be careful otherwise this could come back to haunt him (given that his wife has accepted expensive jewellery from a Saudi Businessman). The racism thing as well given his past. He needs to stop lecturing and being a hypocrite and start doing his own thing without relying on the Royals

Anniebach Mon 06-Dec-21 15:32:13

Charles was bullied at school, quite possibly Harry was too.
