In view of the ever changing covid situ , have you built up a stock tinned food , meals or other just in case ?
I think that I have followed a thing which my mother used to do as to it ,and with the covid lockdowns it also grew , better to have a reserve than panic .

We always have a ‘doomsday stash’ having lived in a remote town for over 30 years and enduring being cut off during bad weather several times was the reason. Now we live in a big town with numerous shops I can’t get out of the habit!!

My mother always had a "proper" pantry, plenty of storage space in there, complete with a "cold slab" for foods that needed to be kept cool.!
We lived in a remote area & Mum didn't drive, so she was always well stocked.

I drive, live nearer to shops, (I don't have the big farmhouse larder), but have always kept to the habit of having a good store of foods & other "essentials".!

Yes, I'm a stocker, like mum was.
The pantry was always heaving with all kinds of tins, home-made pickles jams chutney's and bottled " things ". grin.
I remember a table-top 'fridge---which was also bursting at the seams and when we were given an enormous Prestcold ? f/f the world was mum's oyster. There were only 4 of us !

I still store/ buy enough for an army----just in case grin It could be just as well if we have a tough January.

No I just keep my normal I don’t see any point in stocking more than I need the shops aren’t going to be empty we aren’t going to not be able to shop and I just think it’s unnecessary to have more than two weeks worth of food in the cupboard and a weeks worth in the fridge/freezer

I have always had a lot of 'spares' in tins as I had a fair few sons confused
