This is mine….

When I had the kitchen done, I lost my fridge behind a cupboard door. That is when I discovered magnetic paint. I painted a wall and voila! My magnets from my travels are back in place. I don’t have a favourite but I like to remind myself of the places I have visited.

I have one that makes me smile " I've got one nerve left and you're getting on it ". grin.

Among others which I removed recently, mainly of my travels.

I have that one Ellan with a cross looking owl on it.?
My favourite is one bought by my DGS because he liked the crocodile on it, it says underneath ‘welcome, come right on in!’

If you see a dirty mark you could always stick a magnet over it.

Sticky fingers....mine. I had a black fridge once which showed every mark. Drive me mad so I sold it and bought a graphite one. Same thing I could see marks on it so it needed a clean and buff up daily.

I’m a cat lover and I love this one. The other one seems appropriate to my situation!

I really don't care for fridge magnets and didn't have any when I had a free standing fridge - you have to keep taking them all off when you clean the kitchen each day. In this new house the fridge is built into a cupboard.

I honestly don’t know anyone who cleans the fridge door every day! How does it get dirty?

My sister sent me a fridge magnet that says: 'She wasn't always right but she was always articulate'. Cheeky madam! She knows full well that I am always right. Another one that one of my family must have sent me says: 'you can touch the dust but please don't write in it.' How well they know me!

FeghornLeghorn yes I clean all the kitchen surfaces daily doesn't take very long if it's free from clutter.

My favourites.
Like others, my grandchildren like to move or rearrange the many others.

Magnet I bought at " Calender girls" play.
Advice about baking
Line the bowl with butter
Always use a wooden spoon
If it's a special event
Get it from M&S

A couple of favourites, especially the Oscar Wilde quote smile

GrannySomerset Thu 09-Dec-21 19:57:14

I bought one for a friend whose husband was about to retire which said “For better, for worse, but not for lunch”. Excellent advice!

These ones...

These three are my favourites.

Thanks foghorn! Must be tongue in cheek surely?

MissAdventure Thu 09-Dec-21 17:57:27

I had (note, past tense) one that said
"I am woman.
I am invincible.
I am tired".

Also one saying
"Save time. See it my way."

I want your pink one, lovebeigecardigans.

I have magnets from musicals and places we have visited too.

Please ignore the fact that DH needs to change the fridge filter.

Bluebellwould Thu 09-Dec-21 17:39:01

Oh god no! It’s frightfully common ?
( borrowing from another thread today).

Blondiescot Thu 09-Dec-21 17:34:01

The vast majority of ours have come from places we've visited over the years, so they're a nice reminder of our travels. My favourites are the nazar boncugu (evil eye) charms we've brought back from various places throughout Turkey.

ShazzaKanazza Thu 09-Dec-21 17:23:38

I miss having somewhere to put magnets because everything is integrated now.

I wipe where my fingers touch to open. I take the magnets down maybe twice a year. I'm such a slob! (The inside is very clean)
