Imagine that we have a new sparkly GN jukebox......free of charge, what records to choose and why? Do you just love a certain old record or does it bring back lovely memories?tchsmile

Oh Lucca that YouTube video made me cry! I have never heard that song before and being half Italian it really touched me.

My Cherie Amour - Stevie Wonder, takes me back to my very early teenage years, (as does any Tamla Motown song).
Dancing in the Moonlight - Toploader, always cheers me up.
Something so Right - Paul Simon, was 'courting' my husband and it just describes how I felt about him.
Piano Man - Billy Joel, reminds me of me and youngest son in my open top car driving on a really hot day singing it at the top of our voices!
Anything by Michael McDonald or James Taylor - my favourites in my 20s.

Glad you like it ! Used it in my Italian teaching too and it went down well…

Ode To Billy Joe by Bobby Gentry. Reminds me of when I was a 16 year old in my first job.

Annie’s Song by John Denver. When DD was born.

Rocking Redwing, don’t know the singer, but when I was young, a favourite older cousin brought her record player to our house and this was one she played.

Three please lemon

My DH has an amazing singing voice and this brings tears to my eyes when he sings it: How Long Will I Love You - Ellie Goulding

Heard it Through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye. Memories of 1960s when I was 16.

Mirrorball by Elbow. Lyrics describe my life with my DH who I met again after 44 years: We saw Elbow live at the Eden Project 7 years ago and I was stood with his arms around me throughout the gig.

Oh yes, grumppa. Tous Les Garçons et Les Filles reminds me of being ‘cool at school’ - or so we liked to think.

Staying in a slow dance mood. Neil Diamond’s Hello Again is soooo sexy.
