How do you drink your Bailey's?

This 'thing' for Bailey's has passed me by but I'm determined to try harder so - how do you drink your Bailey's? What sort of a glass, with ice, without, with something else?

And does it actually have an apostrophe?

We had a beautiful greyhound who was partial to Baileys.

I'd left some on the bookcase which was by a sofa and gone upstairs to sort the children out.

Came down to find him sat on the sofa with his two large paws clutching the glass as he sipped away

Had to make sure we kept it well away from him after that.

I was just amazed that he had managed to pick the glass up with his teeth and set it down so carefully.

Bought a litre bottle from Tesco the other day £9.50, what a bargain!

Am being strong and not starting it yet!

Any way it comes ? cream liqueurs like Baileys at Christmas are almost the only alcohol drinks I like

Jaxjacky Sat 11-Dec-21 15:57:55

Not for me thanks.

GagaJo Sat 11-Dec-21 15:27:20

I also really like Kahlua. Also gorgeous in a white coffee.

JaneJudge Sat 11-Dec-21 15:24:46

we keep ours in the fridge

Deedaa Sat 11-Dec-21 15:24:36

Not at all in my case! The thought of alcohol with cream in is just awful.

Out of anything that comes to hand

Smileless2012 Sat 11-Dec-21 15:16:01

Over ice for me too.

Pittcity Sat 11-Dec-21 15:14:28

In hot chocolate!

Pammie1 Sat 11-Dec-21 15:12:35

Over ice.

Nannee49 Sat 11-Dec-21 15:08:53

As quickly as possible it seems! I can luxuriously polish off half a bottle -crystal whisky glass 'specially reserved for the occasion and over ice - before thinking "where's that gone so soon?".
It's delicious.

Has anyone tried the Chocolate Leibniz Baileys biscuits?

muse Sat 11-Dec-21 14:51:43

Tried most of the varieties but keep coming back to the original.

My favourite is a strong black coffee topped up with Bailey's. After that it is large one on the rocks.

Years ago I made a Bailey's cheesecake?. Oh Yes !

eazybee Sat 11-Dec-21 14:47:24

Never. What a disappointment.

Grandmabatty Sat 11-Dec-21 14:46:53

I'm not keen on it. I'd rather have a whisky and green ginger.

GagaJo Sat 11-Dec-21 14:44:01

However it comes. If I've had a couple already, I could happily swig it out of the bottle.

It's even nice in coffee. And delish over ice cream.

ixion Sat 11-Dec-21 14:42:59

When alone, from the bottle... Just kidding.
Whiskey glass, neat, in company or in a tall glass (for volume!).

Beechnut Sat 11-Dec-21 14:41:30

A large one over ice.

kittylester Sat 11-Dec-21 14:41:03

sago, I am of the same opinion but am determined to overcome my aversion.

MerylStreep Sat 11-Dec-21 14:40:48

Kittylester
The gin thing passed me by for years but I finally cracked it when I was 40.
I didn’t have to try with Baileys, it was instant love.
A whisky glass but definitely no ice, it dilutes it ? why would you? ?

Sago Sat 11-Dec-21 14:38:11

?. Couldn’t drink it to save my life.

Grannybags Sat 11-Dec-21 14:34:18

whiskey tumbler with ice

Mollygo Sat 11-Dec-21 14:32:53

Neat-preferably chocolate Luxe version.
