A quiet day. Admin and chucking clothes in a bag to take to clothes bank. Walked my wonderful Ddog by myself for ten minutes.

Just popping into the kitchen for a rest we’re just back from a long and muddy walk near the river in Granchester, the weather is so mild I carried my coat most of the way! We bought take away coffees to go with our home made mince pies and sat on a bench overlooking the river
DD and Sil are going out to friends tonight so we’re looking after the gorgeous DGSs and then settling down with chocolates and a film
Just wanted to say a very big thank you especially to soop and to everyone else in the kitchen for such an enjoyable and supportive year. Looking forward to sharing 2022 with you all ??

I shall be starting my new journal tomorrow and it will be for the 64th time! The story of my life is in A5 page-a-day diaries. I think you should keep going with yours Urms - you will regret it if you stop now.

My DH and dd were tested positive on Boxing Day. Dh still unwell and I am terrified that if I catch it my long long awaited nhs appointment in just over s week will be cancelled and I can’t afford got that to happen as am in a lot of pain.
Privately is £15,000 so need to stay well and keep out of dh way; trouble is he wanders round the house and I sometimes forget to dodge him.
Sorry for the moan, am feeling a tad down today.

The year is almost over and I don't think many of us will regret its passing! Here's hoping that the trials and tribulations of 2021 will soon be forgotten and that the wonderful scientists who have given us cause for gratitude and optimism will come up with more and better solutions for fighting Covid. Good wishes to all gransnetters, near and far. Happy New Year in 2022.

We're going to my sister's for the Bells, dear nephew1's lovely fiancee will there for her first Scottish Hogmanay, but we are still 3 households in line with current advice.
