Any one else want to share their creations?

I’m decorating mine today. It arrived yesterday and is having a long drink in a bucket in the garden.

Mine has been described as an explosion in a tinsel factory. Utterly tasteless and naff but its become a tradition over the years.
I used to try hard to colour coordinate in the past but when the children arrived, I gave up. ?

Beautiful trees! Another slim one here, ideal for my flat. ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 20-Dec-21 21:07:43

Here’s mine. A real one with some of the decorations going back over 40 years.

Mogsmaw Mon 20-Dec-21 20:57:26

Here’s mine, put up today. It’s a pre-lit artificial. It takes ages to “fluff”. The instructions say “leave no tips untouched” but it’s worth it. Some of my ornaments are from the 1980’s. I love all my glass icicles.

Ah found the right thread.

Lots of lovely trees, so cheerful.

Here is ours

SpringyChicken Mon 20-Dec-21 19:55:34

Ours is artificial. The presents under the tree are fakes. They hide the base and wires.

Patsy70 Mon 20-Dec-21 19:05:24

Why are my photos always sideways on? ?

MiniMoon Wed 15-Dec-21 22:26:54

We have two. The one in the living room has our traditional ornaments, and multi coloured lights.
The smaller one is in the hall, under the stairs. It is pre lit and flocked decorated in pink. We haven't had a real tree for several years.

Ours was bought for a narrow space in our old house and fits in our new house without having to move any furniture.
Interesting to see everyone's tree. This year I strung the lights vertically rather than round and round. It was so much easier.

Patsy70 Wed 15-Dec-21 17:24:05

This is our real tree, twinkling in the corner!

NotTooOld Wed 15-Dec-21 16:50:07

Georgesgran grin.

I will post a picture of my round tree on this thread. DD2 was allowed out of hospital (at short notice) so we rushed off to buy a tree, any tree would do.
It was too big, so I left DH to cut it down, presuming he’d start at the bottom. Oh no - he hacked the top off (never lived it down either).

Love seeing all these trees, they are all beautiful.

I have a smallish artificial tree in the living room and thought I would like a small prelit one for the conservatory.
I asked my S if he could get me one from the garden centre.
He texted back to say they didn’t have any left but did I want a small real one.
Ok I said.
This is what he brought me on Monday.
I don’t know what to do with it, it may end up outside with lots of lights on, which I do have.

Yes if buying a real tree , buy as soon as possible and treat it like a cut flower. Stand it outside for as long as possible in a bucket of water so it can drink !

Kate1949 Tue 14-Dec-21 19:58:32

Oh dear!

Kate1949 Tue 14-Dec-21 19:58:04

Not sure what happened to the picture.

Kate1949 Tue 14-Dec-21 19:57:00

Ours is very old and quite old fashioned but we like it.

GrandmaRosie Tue 14-Dec-21 19:38:31

All lovely - mine’s been described as ‘cute’. I tend to agree? And it’s real!

Whitewavemark2 Tue 14-Dec-21 19:34:45

Ours is being delivered tomorrow. A real one, so will cut off a couple of inches and give it a big drink in a bucket.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 14-Dec-21 19:29:44

They’re all beautiful. I think we are going to buy a real one on Thursday.

Aldom Tue 14-Dec-21 19:26:35

My family's tree, top of the thread is also a real tree. I think it's a beautifully shaped tree.

Shelflife Tue 14-Dec-21 18:55:24

Real one for us .

Daisytwoshoes Tue 14-Dec-21 16:51:32

Fake one this year
