The 70's. How many of these do you remember

I have been looking for a white pair since the summer!

MissAdventure l have a white pair exactly the same as these. Very comfortable.

I loved Lincoln biscuits - I used to nibble them trying to keep a straight line along the lines of bumps.

I agree that some of those items were from at least the 60s, not the 70s. Especially the lucky bags, coal, frozen milk, wooden pencil case, Clarks sandals and Quink!
The TV programmes were definitely 70s - the 50s/60s ones I remember best were from Watch With Mother:

Oh, and apparently the sandals were among Clarks’ longest lasting designs as they were made from the thirties to the seventies. We always had summer sandals similar to these, red when younger and blue when older. Only once did we have brown and l really disliked them as we had brown shoes in winter.

I was born in the sixties so the seventies were my childhood. Nipsmum, the hoop with the attached ball to skip over was all the rage and I loved mine. I loved Hector’s House and all the sweets, including Spangles were still going strong in the seventies. My favourites were the fizzy orange flavour (I probably wouldn’t like them now). I remember the clackers craze more because of the fuss about them being dangerous and banned from our school. As I was around five or six at the time l did not have them.

Loved this but don’t remember some of the tv ones. In the 60’s my dad would produce Spangles from his dungaree pockets sprinkled with tobacco. “Sook and spit“ he used to tell us if we got one. ‘Elf an Safety would be horrified now!
70’s music on Radio2 Sunday afternoon with Johnie Walker also a favourite.

But where is the chocolate pudding with lurid green mint custard? I still make that for my very grown up children now.

My daughter who was about 5 insisted she wanted one of the rings with attached ball the went round on your ankle. I asked her what it was called , she told me it was a strinkinwankle. So off we went to buy one and none of the shops had ever heard of this toy. We got one eventually but I can't for the life of me remember it's proper name. It was always known as a strinkinwankle in our house.

So many lovely memories. A Curly Wurly in my lunch box for school every day, bent in two cos it wouldn't fit.

And, weirdly, Hector's House (the dog by the fence) tugged the memory heart strings the hardest!! ?

I had already left the UK by 1973 but lots of those puddings were what we would have had for school dinners. I had one of those wooden pencil cases. Never heard of the clacker things. And I don't recognise the dog by the fence.

Aw remember loads of those from my 70s childhood in Dublin. The excitement of curly wurlys, getting spangles brought home from relatives who'd been to London, wanting to look like Jaclyn Smith in Charlie's Angels.

Yes, I think you are right. Definitely the 50's. I had a little chuckle at the sandals. Our Mum used to get all three of us a pair each to go with our Whit Sunday outfits that she made, but always in white.

It didn't cost much to keep children happy then, unlike today {hmm}

Haha Rosie 1959 happy days. We were on holiday in Italy, I think it was '72 and all you could hear was the noise of hundreds of pairs of bloody clackers

Bruised wrists with the clackers? I used to love playing elastic twist. Such cheap fun. We had the best times.

I had some suppose I was about 10 my mum also liked having a go with them. Unfortunately she could get names wrong. In a delay to answering the door to the postman she exclaimed “ sorry to keep you waiting I was playing with my knackers”
