Good afternoon all, safe journey to Mick and GM and all those travelling. Urms, hope you start to feel better and can enjoy your Christmas meal. I had my booster (4th jab) today, they were happy for me to have it a few days early. Went home and promptly slept for just over 2 hours. I am so happy that after all my worrying my daughters new mattress turned up, the careers went straight around and with the help of the Amazon man put it on the bed and the old one in the garage. Even the waterproof sheet turned up all of which were only ordered on Tuesday night. So good job done by all. I am going to buy all the card staff a Costa gift vouchers show my appreciation. Everything is ready for Christmas,, even have our large chicken cooking just in case I feel I well tomorrow and over Christmas.
So time to relax everyone, stay safe. Typed without wearing my glasses as they are in the car that Mr B has gone out in.

Just heard our DiL has tested positive and we were with her and DS and 2 DGDs for lunch on Sunday. Will do our own LFTs - on symptoms but who knows where the dratted virus is lurking!

Another three dozen mince pies successfully accomplished - they don’t last very long with five eager consumers and even I am enjoying a crumbly one - first thing I have eaten in weeks with enthusiasm. Doesn’t seem to be making me thinner, though.

Last outstanding present delivered this morning to be wrapped and left with a friend tomorrow. On line shopping seems to have worked well this year which is as well since I haven’t been anywhere but food shopping this year. Good for the bank account but not the spirits.

Ena, do follow Marydoll’s advice and you will find this a wonderfully supportive thread where it is OK to complain that life isn’t fair and people are so helpful that it is easier to deal with.

Mattie please let us know when the result arrives!!

Sorry a late one from me, sat down to join in earlier then realised that I had stripped the spare beds last time they were used but had forgotten to remake them, so I’m late from a wet and dismal Oxfordshire after torrential rain during the night.

Went mad at M&S's, as I knew I would----just a few bits says I !
Anyway there's enough now to sink a ship and keep me going for at least a month.

A happy day for Kittylester and I hope all goes well, which it will I'm sure. How lovely for all concerned.

Sorrow for those unable to meet up with families, it won't be forever.

Well it's passed the mid-day mark and I haven't even had 11's's yet, I'll be fading away

What's made me behind is that I was wide awake at 4am and could easily have gone through the place with the hoover, but I watched some news and decided to have another couple of hours----fatal ! It was 08.30 when I woke, more bleary-eyed than I had done at 4am so in a panic ( why ? ) I got showered and crumpeted, fed all the cats then the neighbours passing had the odd chinwag. As well as a flurry of cards through the letterbox which needed reading.

Hoover out but I'll have a coffee first. I hope the day goes well for everyone, my thoughts are with you all xx
