Good morning and Merry Christmas to all from a very windy Lincolnshire. Awake early, hot chocolate made, and relax before festivities begin. ?

Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone! I haven't posted for a long time but have been reading and wanted to say Best Wishes to all of you lovely people at this time. May the New Year bring us all happiness and joy. For those who have been ill this year or have lost loved ones a special hug and best wishes.
My New Years resolution is to get more involved with the outside world (including Gransnet) and get myself back on track!
Love to all!

Good morning Maw

Yuletide Greetings to you All ?

When I went to make my tea I saw that DH had typed up a cooking chart, times, which device, what temperature for our Christmas Dinner (at lunchtime). It’s lucky he is cooking it. I’ll open the wine and I’ve laid the table. ??

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. No idea what the weather is doing.

Thank you for your lovely welcome Maw. I have happy memories of those days with my own children. I’m sure that’s exactly what’s happening in my grandchildrens’ homes right now.

Safe trip Ashconbe & OD.

Wishing each and every one of you a happy day.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Good morning and Happy Christmas from a very wet Essex by the sea.
We are going to DH's eldest daughter for lunch and to see his 5 very excited grandchildren.
Safe journey to anyone 'driving home for Christmas ' today.
Have a lovely day whatever you may be doing.
Peace and love to everyone ????? xx

Buon Natale ! from Italy, so wonderful to be back in this country ! Midnight mass last night ( I’m not a believer but enjoy the ‘experience’. Which was very socially distanced with masks throughout including choir.)
look forward to lunch for ten with lots of local specialities. Already FaceTimed the Sydney branch who were swimming and kayaking,…

Good morning, and Merry Christmas!

Dogs walked, breakfast consumed. Heading to the 08:00 at the Cathedral one town over shortly, then back home to get the rest of the lunch on and to a joyful Christmas.

Christmas Day has been me and the dog or dogs for several years now, alone ish but not lonely: I have gifts to unwrap from kind family and friends, and the expectation of a thoroughly gluttonous day, well, two days, before the diet restarts on Monday.

Peace and joy. ??

Good morning and Merry Christmas to everyone from a regular reader rather than a poster. It’s lovely to read how you all are doing and how much support you give to each other. We’ll be heading over to DD and family after a short Christmas Day service at our little church. Hoping you all have a peaceful day and those who are poorly are feelIng a bit better today.

Good morning from North Lincs. I dutifully set my alarm for 5.30am and have driven from my hotel to my daughter’s house, expecting it to be ablaze with lights and excited kids opening presents. Alas, they are still asleep. ? I could have had a lie in!

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is cooler today.
I was awoken by a voice message saying “Happy Titmass” “See you at party” from a very happy 2 year old this morning. I do hope he likes his cowboy boots!!
We will be going for breakfast in an hour or so, we like to let the chaos calm first, mummy and daddy are the worse culprits of chaos in that house on a Christmas morning!!
I have a hang over from too much Prosecco last night so I’m off down stairs for a coffee or two.
Lovey OP Maw
❤️??

Safe journey- Ashcombe - that’s a lot of driving but I hope most people who are going anywhere will have gone already and at least there should be very few lorries, if any.
I did about 250 miles picking up D and GS from Norfolk two days ago and then 75 to Birmingham yesterday. And I don’t want to see a steering wheel for a day or two.
Will you be playing “Driving home for Christmas” on the way?

Daisytwoshoes Sat 25-Dec-21 06:13:47

Good morning and happy Christmas to everyone
Got the family and GC for lunch
Thoughts to those with troubles or are feeling under the weather ?
Have a good day everyone ???

Awake here, too! Good morning from a soggy Torbay, and a Happy Christmas.

Our Crib Service was well attended yesterday - the biggest number for which I’ve been the accompanist at this church! DH came with me which made a pleasant change from my solo visits on Sundays.

We shall be up and off to Crewe as soon as we can be ready. 230 miles to travel but we hope it will be on less busy roads than sometimes.

Peace and love to you all. ????????

Good morning Happy Christmas from Cheshire. We are very excited to be going to our daughters for lunch today and my sister and her husband and son will be there too. I hope everyone here has a good day in whatever way they enjoy. Here's to 2022 and hopes for a better year for us all. Xx

Good morning Maw!
I’m up (well, awake)
Happy Christmas Everyone! ? ♥️

MayBeMaw Sat 25-Dec-21 05:53:53

Apologies fir waking anybody up , but Good morning and a Happy Christmas to you all!
There has been much tiptoeing and whispering going on as those of you with GC staying or who are visiting family with little ones will be experiencing. Can’t we all remember those happy days days when we struggled through Christmas Day on a minimum of sleep - it used to seem like barely an hour between tiptoeing into bedrooms with the stockings and “HE’S BEEN!”
My Christmas started with a magical Christingle service yesterday then home for mulled wine and to dry out as it was chucking it down.
For those of you alone - not by choice- or with worries and sadness, I hope the spirit of Christmas will envelop you like a warm hug and bring you comfort and strength for the days to come.
God bless us every one!
