Honestly, don't worry about it for another second.
Nobody died, nothing is wrong, all will be ok.

I had flu. Still weary from it. My son's family COVID and mine were not gift wrapped and still here. But I had given my son a bit of cash a week before so how it made their day special.

Is there a reason that you cannot call your son and talk to him directly about this?

Hello Maggo if you have heard from someone else and not directly from your Son then that is their view and not necessarily his, so I would not raise it with him. If you are referring to gifts, do you normally send them or is this year different due to finances, health or other reasons. I am always wary when someone tells me what another person feels it is their interpretation of what was said and not right for them to pass it on. If your Son has not raised it I would forget about it and move on. I hope that this helps.

If you have just heard I am assuming that you did not speak to your son yourself. Could you contact him and explain your reasons.

Try to sort this out asap so that you can stop thinking about it, overthinking always makes a problem bigger than it needs to be.

I don’t think anything can justify not thinking of your grandchildren at Xmas, especially if they are little. If they are grown up and have done something to upset you, fair enough.
