Just watched this on SkyArts. I’ve seen it so many times. Almost every song makes my hair stand on end. Have you seen it? Would you watch it again?

Grandmabatty Thu 30-Dec-21 17:28:36

I love it. I find it very moving

I have been to see it twice and have watched it on Sky Arts. I would go to see it again if I get the chance.

Grandmagrim Thu 30-Dec-21 17:35:32

I’ve seen it, it was brilliant. For me the star of the show was the stage design.

When we lived near London I went a few times to see it. The first time I went very reluctantly with my friend to keep her company. I just didn’t think it would be good. It was fantastic! Love love the music.

Seen it several times on stage and the anniversary concerts on TV. DH loves it all. Didn’t like the film much though.

Never seen Les Misérable but seen Phantom of the Opera many times, loved everything about it.

eazybee Thu 30-Dec-21 18:27:27

Yes, I have seen it several times, in the West End when it first came out, the film, the concert version. Some version seems to have been on the television nearly every day since Christmas.

Yes, I watched it. Seen it on stage twice and the original film. Love the music and often bop around to it. Myself and 3 DDs sometimes have a singalong . We are not bad a harmonies, even if I say so myself.

Just watched it again - wonderful

kittylester Thu 30-Dec-21 19:37:23

I hated it! My brother, on the other, wat he's it at every given opportunity.

kittylester Thu 30-Dec-21 19:39:08

Gawd, my phone!

My brother, on the other hand, watches it at any given opportunity.

Kate1949 Thu 30-Dec-21 19:49:30

I thought the stage show was awful. Made the mistake of going to see the film as my husband wanted to see it. A couple of hours of my life I'll never get back.

AuntieEleanorsCat Thu 30-Dec-21 19:52:34

Love it. Seen it many times. Stage, anniversary versions and films.

Marvellous.

GrandmaKT Thu 30-Dec-21 19:58:36

I love musicals, but I absolutely hate Les Mis! I've watched it on stage and the film and both times I just felt my emotions were being manipulated. It's like a musical painting by numbers.

Trisha57 Thu 30-Dec-21 20:00:14

Didn't enjoy the musical, but loved the TV series. I've never seen the film.

highlanddreams Thu 30-Dec-21 20:05:09

I've only seen the TV series, I didn't think I would like it when I put it on, but I really enjoyed it

threexnanny Thu 30-Dec-21 20:14:18

Seen it four times live and would go again and again.

mrshat Thu 30-Dec-21 20:14:22

Yes, and yes, in the blink of an eye!

ginny Thu 30-Dec-21 20:17:34

Interesting to hear different views.
Most people rave about ‘Lion King’ but I was totally underaged by it.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 30-Dec-21 20:52:46

Seen the film, the stage show, a youth version and the concert version on Sky arts. Also have tickets for a national tour at our local theatre postponed from 2020.
Love it and agree with you Mollygo the songs make your hair stand on end.

sodapop Thu 30-Dec-21 21:14:11

My all time favourite musical, I often listen to the soundtrack at home.

Gingster Thu 30-Dec-21 21:18:59

Best musical I’ve ever seen. Three times in the west end, and other performances with just the songs. Fabulous.

Hellogirl1 Thu 30-Dec-21 22:06:34

Seen it once in London, would love to see it again.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 30-Dec-21 22:38:34

We were fortunate that one of my best girlfriends had a theatre ticket company and we have seen Les Mis multiple times it’s my favourite west end show.
I had it on the kitchen today whilst preparing family dinner
