I would go with mini paper knife too. If you haven't got the original box with the contents details on do a search on the actual product make and it will confirm the items in the box.

I keep mine hidden too, from my grandson.
It's a matter of pride that I still have all three (mine are individual ones) after all these years.

MissAdventure

I have a tiny set of screwdrivers that came in a cracker years ago.
They're really handy!

So have I. I've had them for ages and keep them hidden from OH so that they don't disappear! They are in a little black case and you just select which end you want and slot it in the handle.

Half of a pair of scissors!

But no hole for the hinge/pivot/bolt. Maybe it is one half of a DIY pair of scissors, and you have to drill the hole yourself. The other half and the bolt must be in other crackers in the set.

Okay thanks, will go with mini paper knife. I did a Google search before I posted but ended up none the wiser! Thanks again ?

Yes, mini paper knife for opening letters and so on. Very useful for opening envelopes without completely destroying them, and easier than trying to push a fat finger into the slim space where the envelope isn't stuck down. It doesn't need to be any bigger, you just insert the tip in the top of the envelope and slide it along. It can also cut wrapping paper if you fold along where you want it cut and slide the blade along the fold.

I did a reverse image search on Google and even Mr Google doesn't know! ?

Trisha57 I love the curling up fish!

Daisymae Fri 31-Dec-21 09:06:19

Yes, my crackers were super posh, with a note that said no plastic allowed! I'm thinking it might be something to do with crafting. I wondered too whether it might be one of those things that everyone else knows what to do withgrin

Juliet27 Fri 31-Dec-21 08:49:04

Oh..was it a gift in a cracker?

Juliet27 Fri 31-Dec-21 08:47:30

Half a pair of scissors

Trisha57 Fri 31-Dec-21 08:36:06

Your crackers are dead posh! I got the curling up plastic fish in mine grin

JackyB Fri 31-Dec-21 08:30:28

Probably a bit blunt, but could be useful for crafting - for scoring card for folding, or to run over folds to neaten them.

Marydoll Fri 31-Dec-21 08:29:30

Is it not one of those instruments DrPimplepopper uses to extract blackheads? ?

JackyB Fri 31-Dec-21 08:28:41

Yes. A mini-paperknfe.

Daisymae Fri 31-Dec-21 08:24:20

Hmm. I suppose that it's a possibility. Seems a bit short.

Spice101 Fri 31-Dec-21 08:17:30

Is it a letter opener?

Daisymae Fri 31-Dec-21 08:15:39

Caused discussion yesterday, found in box of crackers. Have no idea what it's for. Can anyone shed any light?
