My take on people who are trafficked is that they can’t escape from their masters, for instance modern slaves who owe huge amounts to those controlling them and are physically kept captive. I see none of this with VG who was free to come and go (back to the man she was living with).

I agree with your take on this trisher but you are up against the personal experiences of women who were free to choose their sexual partners and can't see the difference.

If Virginia Giuffre had met Prince Andrew in a night club where she had gone for a night out with her friends and they'd got together and had a one night stand I would still think he was a bit sleazy but she was reasonably able to decide for herself.
But she was part of a traficking and prostitution ring at 13, she was then recruited by Maxwell. She was trafficked by Epstein. She was brought to this counry for the purpose of having sex with Epstein's friends, one of whom was PA. She lived in Maxwell's house. She was under 18. She was an abused child.
She only escaped Epstein's influence when she met her husband in 2002 and moved to Australia.

There were numerous cases settled out of court of girls like her. Why would anyone compare the circumstances these girls lived in with girls who are free to decide who they want to have sex with?
As for PA well either he is a completely unaware idiot who didn't know what was going on in which case he should have voluntarily given evidence about Epstein and Maxwell, or he knew quite well what was going on.

I know a number of nuns who have more experience of the reality of child sexual exploitation than some posters here. Never sen any of them shocked by the horrors they work with

The use of the word nuns or pearl clutchers is used again and again when women discuss boundaries around children and teenagers or even their own boundaries. Its tedious beyond belief. I have had a number of one night stands but currently in my fifties if I had sex with a 17 year old then yeah I would think I was immoral.

It seems it's a case of heaven help us all anyway.
