The Thread says "Prince Andrew can't sweat" bet he is now?
I need advice for a mutually messy situation
Doing wrong is not black and white even in law.
My own father who of course had never heard of Prince Andrew, could not sweat. My mother , who had never heard of Prince Andrew, told me this when I was was girl . My mother did not explain about the adrenaline thing as she had no medical knowledge, but after Andrew's admission about not sweating . I can understand how hormones are affected by some severe life events. My father was at the Eastern Front during the Great War.
Also in support of Prince Andrew, he probably did not even know that it was illegal or even immoral to shag an unknown and poor seventeen year old girl. Very rich people have odd childhoods, and it takes special efforts by parents and teachers to teach them what real life is.

"And whilst she was being abused ,allegedly, she was living with her boyfriend in an apartment paid for by her work with Epstein." (Anniebach)
So what?
So what ? I find it all very strange , she told her boyfriend of
going to bed with Andrew, when she went away for a length of time she gave him a few hundred dollars for the rent.
Was her boyfriend guilty by accepting money knowing how she allegedly was abused
He won’t be the only one visgirl
Who else ?
Andrew to face trial
The palace has to find a way to de-royal him

I feel very sorry for the Queen who should be celebrating her Platinum Jubilee. But of course even though she lives in a Commonwealth country VG wouldn’t give a stuff about that.
Seriously? The Commonwealth?
Should VG have not taken this action because the British once had an empire?
I feel sorry for the Queen. Wonder if Andrew does.
Don’t be daft Alegrias, you know what I mean. She doesn’t give a damn, won’t settle out of court.
Why should she give a damn? I don't know if she has a case or not, it's not something I have been following.
But if she thinks she does, should she have held off from making her case because the mother of the person she is accusing was going to have a big milestone anniversary in a few years?
I sincerely believe that many people think the RF/Commonwealth/Britain means more to people in other countries than it really does.
I have no idea what VG living in a 'Commonwealth country' has to do with anything, but is he still Prince Andrew? The media seem to be calling him plain 'Andrew'.
I know he stepped down from royal duties, but has he been demoted from Prince?

You made me laugh Annie. That is so funny. I wonder if the Queen wishes she could?
I don’t think if he could be demoted from Prince, I suspect he can’t, but he really is a pathetic example of a man, never mind a prince.
Oh true. I just wondered f the 'Andrew' thing was official, or if the media have got together and decided to use it.
Rich or poor, they know right from wrong. I don’t trust the girl at all, she has brought other cases against high profile people and has received out of court settlements, she is out for the money I think and was out for being in the jet set life from when she first me Epstein etc. I doubt her motives. Anyway, if anything did happen she was 17 and over the age of consent in UK. Prince Andrew used to be called Randy Andy, but I am sure he would not have compromised his position and family.
There has been speculation that Andrew could be stripped of the title of the Duke of York if he loses the case. But royal biographer Christopher Warwick is doubtful. Citing 1917 legislation aimed at preventing “enemy royals” using British titles, he told Sky: “Andrew is not an enemy of Britain, so the Titles Deprivation Act wouldn’t come into it.”
I think the Queen would never want/allow Andrew to lose his titles. I know many people admire the Queen, maybe particularly for her long reign and service, but I think she’s stuck in a time warp from years ago. She is the epitome of bowing and curtsying and thinks ‘rank’ is important. She’s big on ‘blood’ lines and ‘blood’ princesses etc. She will never agree to demoting Andrew, he is a ‘blood’ Prince and she thinks these things are important.

VG dismissed as unscrupulous. Andrew held up as a paragon who wouldn’t compromise his position or family. If we dismiss his long friendship with two people convicted of trafficking vulnerable young women for sex, we could consider Andrew’s behaviour when trade ambassador for example
He cannot have the title Prince taken from him, and the Queen
cannot strip him of titles before the court case, if she did she
she is saying - he his guilty
Giuffrie will not accept an out of court settlement, she has already received a few million.
When he is found guilty she can write a best seller and have a film made is she chooses
I think she'll probably be content that justice will have been done.
If VG accepted an out of court settlement it would play into the hands of those who refuse to believe that she is telling the truth.
She really can't win - well she may well win in court, but whatever happens there will be those who will never take her word, whether because it is the word of a woman against a man, or a commoner against a prince. Her case hasn't been heard yet, but she is disbelieved. I don't blame her for refusing to settle.

The instinct for survival is strong in the Royal Family. Andrew will not lose his titles.
I doubt very much if there will be a court case, because it has been so widely discussed it would be impossible for an unbiased trial to be held in America, but It would be wrong to settle out of court because that would be a tacit admission of guilt. Personally I don't think he was guilty of whatever the latest accusations concerning Virginia Guiffre are: she has accused Epstein of grooming, abuse and trafficking, been believed, received compensation then reneged on the agreement she signed; that should be the end of it. Only the lawyers will benefit in the end.
Prince Andrew's most serious crime was his friendship with Epstein and his money dealings, which are deeply shaming. What a mess he has made of such a privileged life. He is unlikely to hold any form of public office, and his punishment will be an incredibly dull life confined to Windsor Park with no extravagant holidays abroad in case the FBI arrest him.
