Caleo, poor people are always given free legal representation by the state in criminal cases. A poor person is very unlikely to face a civil action such as this.

In the GM case the women were called as defence witnesses. GM is rich enough to pay for her defence. They didn’t have to find any money.

GermanShepherdsMum, poor people often can't even afford to pay a lawyer to defend them. Very rich people can afford the cleverest lawyers without a second thought. I don't know how the women who were trafficked managed but I think they may have struggled financially.

She’s already done that once. How much more fame she will have if she can drag it all the way through a court case.
If he’s found guilty which is more than likely in the American justice system, whether he is or not, then she’ll have her five minutes of fame plus damages. If she accepts a settlement it will soon be yesterday's news- apart from going on Oprah.

The men who were involved in sexually exploiting and abusing vulnerable girls in Rochdale, Oldham,Oxford, Nottingham and other towns weren’t wealthy. They continue to make the front pages.
As do other men (and a few women) who are prosecuted for the organised sexual exploitation of children or trafficked people. PA is being investigated. His fame and notoriety following the car crash interview mean he’s going to continue to be news. A but like when Clinton was accused by Monika Lewinsky. That was daily news up to and following the impeachment.

His public life is no more .

Not only wealthy people are accused of sexual abuse, but it’s
wealthy people who make the front pages . Others make the local press.

This sorry affair is a good example of the more you learn, the less you know situation ( my opinion, of course). Are the women looking for justice or a payout? Perhaps both.

in the bank now.

Windsor was sued by the person he originally bought it from for millions, because he had not paid up. She has since withdrawn as the bill has been paid. Not sure where he got the money from.

He has a mortgage on the property as well.

It is also being suggested, that the Queen will offer to pay Giuffre off rather than allow the case to go to court.

Who reported the property had not been paid for ?
