Prince Andrew Can't Sweat

Doing wrong is not black and white even in law.

My own father who of course had never heard of Prince Andrew, could not sweat. My mother , who had never heard of Prince Andrew, told me this when I was was girl . My mother did not explain about the adrenaline thing as she had no medical knowledge, but after Andrew's admission about not sweating . I can understand how hormones are affected by some severe life events. My father was at the Eastern Front during the Great War.

Also in support of Prince Andrew, he probably did not even know that it was illegal or even immoral to shag an unknown and poor seventeen year old girl. Very rich people have odd childhoods, and it takes special efforts by parents and teachers to teach them what real life is.

Oh so sorry Espee Fodnt realise this was pedants corner. Probably should have used the expression ‘copulated’

No one here had sex at 17 ?

Yes, but willingly with someone I fancied.

Esspee Sun 02-Jan-22 15:12:01

Why use euphemisms?
It has never been suggested he slept with the young woman.
Use the correct terms such as fucked, screwed or shagged and the enormity of what he did starts to be clear.

Chewbacca- yes you would like to think that- and the same goes for all the other fathers who sleep with prostitutes. My point is , did he know the background of these girls - probably not as he wouldn’t have cared. Is sleeping with a girl of 17 necessarily rape?

Opinions don’t matter.

Legally, In the USA it is rape of underaged girls, and in both countries girls who are trafficked by pimps are raped by those who abuse them.

Every single one of those men will be absolutely aware of the abuse of the girls’ legal rights.

Atqui Sun 02-Jan-22 15:02:36

And for the record I am not victim blaming-Those girls were definitely victims of Maxwell and Epstein for being groomed into pairs sex . All I’m saying is we can’t prove Andrew was guilty of rape.

I don’t think sex with underage girls is exclusive to the rich.

No-one is remotely suggesting that it is.

Sleazebag Andrew would probably have taken it for granted that his rich friends had just provided some pretty young things to amuse their guests.

But you'd like to think that a critical thinking father of 2 young daughters might just have stopped for a moment and asked himself "How would I feel if Eugenie or Beatrice were in this room? What would I do if a middle aged man was preparing to have a session with them?" He let his dick override every one and everything else. Repulsive man.

Atqui Sun 02-Jan-22 14:37:33

I agree it would have been better for all concerned if he had admitted to having sex with paid escorts, if that’s what he thought they were.He was probably to drunk to remember their faces.

Atqui Sun 02-Jan-22 14:34:42

Trafficked is with good reason an emotive term, and I’m sure many prostitutes have been trafficked in the Uk. Back in the nineties before Epstein was convicted of being a paedophile , would Andrew have known how those girls ended up on party island or in a house in London? Sleazebag Andrew would probably have taken it for granted that his rich friends had just provided some pretty young things to amuse their guests.

MissAdventure Sun 02-Jan-22 14:01:36

2007 pic.

No public displays of affection or sweating, of course.

Keeper1 Sun 02-Jan-22 13:59:09

Did you know that for just £3 a month a rich person can receive counselling to deal with the trauma of being unimaginably wealthy

Whitewavemark2 Sun 02-Jan-22 13:58:39

I see the palace is having talks about what to do with Andrew Windsor. It is thought that if the civil case proves correct, then Windsor will be asked to give up his titles etc. He can’t be sacked from a non-job, but he can be made to disappear!

Well the pimps have been identified, now we need to begin to identify those that used their services.

What a fibber!

It didn’t he say the non sweating was as a result of trauma in the falklands war ? Maybe that photo was earlier on.

I do think Pizza Hut thing is weird ….I mean if Andrew and his daughters were there as a waiter you’d remember !!

Chewbacca Sun 02-Jan-22 13:44:58

Oh MissAdventure that's a classic! Odd that he'd forgotten that he does have the ability to sweat but he does remember that he was in a Pizza Express restaurant in Woking and not having sex with VG even though not one member of staff recalls seeing a member of the RF that day. Funny thing memory!

Lucca Sun 02-Jan-22 13:42:16

Anniebach to the delight of the majority it’s a member of the royal family

Why ? I’m not delighted, I think it’s embarrassing.

If he didn’t know it was illegal why could he not do the honourable thing and go and face the music, even admit it and apologise make amends

MissAdventure Sun 02-Jan-22 13:34:42

What a fibber!

Caleo Sun 02-Jan-22 13:27:02

Chew, I agree he should shoulder the responsibility for his own actions.

I hope that this whole affair of how a significant number of very powerful people behave will make everyone aware that the very rich are a separate tribe

winterwhite Sun 02-Jan-22 13:25:28

Outside this case 'trafficking' is generally used in more coercive situations than this seems to have been. Exploitation is a more neutral term.

The girls may have come from dysfunctional families, they had homes and families nevertheless. They were not abducted.

It's bad enough in any light, why make it out to be worse than it is?

No one here had sex at 17 ?

I’ll admit to first having sex just before my 16th birthday when on holiday with a group of friends, I have no idea how old the man was as I never asked him but he was older than me. I was not coerced in any way, nor groomed or made to take part. I “was up for it” as we used to say!

grandtanteJE65 Sun 02-Jan-22 13:23:15

Age of consent differs from country to country. Therefore anyone intending to travel and not lead an old-fashioned moral life should check what the age of consent is in the places where he or she is thinking of hiring a prostitute.

The amount of alcohol you can drink and still legally drive a car or sail a canal boat differs too from place to place.

In France it is illegal to drive a car if you have had as much as one drink, but it was quite impossible for us to find out whether the same rule applied to sailing our boat on the French canals. So we assumed it did and stayed sober and out of trouble.

The law applies to everyone - rich or poor.

I know of a good number of poor people and a good number of reasonably comfortably placed people who break laws that don't suit them and then are surprised when called to account. I suspect that there are rich people doing the same, but that the majority of rich people like the majority of any other group are law-abiding decent people.

But writing about decent men and women does not sell nuewpapers.
I haven't bothered to follow the trouble Prince Andrew has go himself into, as it does not interest me, so I am not expressing an opinion on him.

Anniebach Sun 02-Jan-22 13:18:38

Thank you winterwhite I am not defending him either but
all those girls involved and only one man is being sued , to the delight of the majority it’s a member of the royal family .

There were girls in this country who were involved, why bring
Giuffrie here .

Andrew allegedly went to that island, so did Bill Clinton and Trump,

Caleo Sun 02-Jan-22 13:17:21

Chew, I am neither sympathetic nor ironic. I am saying we need to understand the reasons why extreme wealth is bad.

Extreme wealth was bad for Ghislaine Maxwell, and allegedly bad for Prince Andrew. Extreme wealth would be bad for any of us if we had not learned the morality of poor people.

It is stupid not to see the causes of evil behaviour.

Chewbacca Sun 02-Jan-22 13:12:39

In his car crash tv interview, didn't he claim that his friendship with Epstein only came about because of his "long time friendship" with Maxwell? If that's true, he'd surely have known that she'd been involved in the offences she's now been convicted of? He's long been mired in sleaze; in the 1980s even his Spitting Image puppet was called Randy Andy. His chickens are home to roost and pecking at the door.
