Good Morning Tuesday 4th January 2022

Good afternoon everyone sorry I’ve missed my mornings rant err morning update. It’s been very cold out there on the east coast of Fife or so I’m told. Now it’s afternoon rest time just had a lovely bowl of soup brought in from a family member he’s done a fabulous job with the soup it’s delicious. We finished off our dds soup yesterday it too was delicious. . I’m thinking of buying my dh an apple fob thing for his birthday which can find his wallet or his phone when they’re mislaid, They’re great according to folks who have them, not too expensive either but very useful in finding these important items and that’s my video ring doorbell been charged up overnight Ive now become a stalker and scaring the life out of anyone entering or leaving the house or a neighbourhood watch volunteer

Good morning from Staffordshire.

We have both had negative PCR’s as have DD2 and family so we have driven over to Staffordshire to have a very belated Christmas.

DH is feeling better now,I am a week behind and still tired but it will be a relaxing day without feeling obliged to do household tasks which I would if at home.

DH and DGS are building with the new Christmas Lego and I am catching up on gransnet.

Glad your DD is home gingster,hopefully she will start to heal and the infection will heal??

Good morning all from a very wet Surrey.
I had a bad night, sore arm from yesterdays jab, leg and hip pains and the usual hot sweats so when I finally dropped of at 6 I stayed there until 9!
Todays plans are to make a start on sorting out my pension which I can claim in 3 months. Also need to help my neighbour to apply for sheltered housing as she is now feeling the need for more security due to her sight and ongoing deterioration in her health. This should be fun dealing with the council!
I haven't read through the thread yet so I may be back!

A very late good morning to you all. I haven't read through the previous posts yet so I'm not sure what everyone is doing.

I've had a couple of days staying with DD2 and Sunday was my youngest granddaughter's 4th birthday party. It was lovely to see her so excited. It is her actual birthday today and she is very proud of being 4.

She is starting at the nursery of her big sister's school on Thursday so lots of new things going on for her.

I just went outside to feed the birds and it's freezing! What a contrast to recent mildness, here in south Devon.
I did finally manage to make the large stew and the large amount of carrot soup. So I'll have to live on it for the next few days.... or freeze some.

Good morning everyone from the north Kent coast where it is partially cloudy and chilly.

Another day of tidying and cleaning ; will do the upstairs. Hopefully with only two of us here things will stay clean and tidy for a while. I only have energy and inclination for a certain amount of housework and this month’s supply is nearly used up.

DGS1 (11) tested positive yesterday, so he is glumly sitting at home with his covid infected father whilst his brother goes jauntily back to school. Have arranged an online gaming contest for this afternoon; always cheers them up to beat granny. Then we’ll play online draughts where granny gets her own back. No quarter given or expected!

Good morning Mick and everybody. Cold and bright in my corner of Lancashire, currently 2°C. It doesn’t seem to have been frosty overnight. Looking good for a walk. As usual nothing planned for today, we will see what life brings. The usual physio exercises and cycling (indoors) later.

EV you reminded me of my aunt, who was forever worrying about her innards!

I’ll be venturing forth soon. First a walk ? with Mya then a drive to the garden centre. The pots need some colour. ?they will have violas soon.
Hoping for three calls/emails today : meter installation date, video consultation for hip review and call from DS.

I’m deliberating whether or not to start Pilates classes this week. Tutor says they can begin again. I’ll do a test before I go but it would be reassuring to know that the other 9 have too.

I finished off one knitting project yesterday but got into a bit of a mess when filling a stockinette with polystyrene balls which is the filling for a pouffé I knitted with olive green cord rather than wool. The cat had fun though chasing the balls! ?

Looking through the window just now and seeing blue skies and sunshine is a lovely reminder that spring is on its way. ?

Well, the bin men managed to empty all the bags and bins this morning. Last week they didn't take the food waste.
When my grand daughter came on Sunday, they brought a jar of home made Damson jam, and I have just had some for breakfast, with crusty bread. It is delicious, and I could eat the lot, straight from the jar. But I won't!
Took down the decorations and all the cards yesterday, but didn't manage to put them away. What did I do with my time? Well, whatever it was, it wasn't very productive. I will try harder today.

It is still grey and damp here in S E Essex.

The Imp had a lovely 2nd birthday yesterday, he is still bouncing around like tigger whilst I am more like ee aw

DD is going into work for 3 hours later so we are on Granny duties. Hopefully if it stays dry we can walk to the park. The 6yr old isn’t back to school until Thursday so we are still on holiday mode.

As for Covid, we have up till now known very few folks who have tested positive, now we are aware of lots, so we are being very careful.

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast. Nice to have something to look forward to Mick, I’ve booked a day trip up to Keswick and Ambleside this month, I do drive, but like a professional in charge!
Painter here painting the front of the house, not bothered about the sides and back. His arrival gets me going as I take out a cup of tea (no biscuits).
Finish off taking down decs and singing this afternoon at music club. Some classical and Can’t Help Lovin dat Man, new one for me.

DD1 has a negative test result after 16 days of positives - just in time to go back to work! Plans to WFH for the rest of the week.

Re-Easter eggs in Iceland, I can remember my DF wondering how my Jersey milk stayed fresh, coming such a long way. My DM’s face was a picture when she told him the milk doesn’t come from Jersey, you daft b*gger, it’s from Jersey cows.
