I know that we are not supposed to ask but I have noticed that Charleygirl doesn't seem to have been around for a while.

Has anyone one heard from her?

Urmstongran Mon 10-Jan-22 19:02:46

Have you tried a p.m. kitty?

kittylester Mon 10-Jan-22 19:07:03

Yep and an email.

Marydoll Mon 10-Jan-22 19:17:47

A few of us have been asking and trying to contact her.

Another poster told me she thought Charleygirl may be having IT problems. I don't want to say anymore, but we may know more tomorrow.

TillyTrotter Mon 10-Jan-22 19:19:09

No kitty . I am concerned too.

Josieann Mon 10-Jan-22 19:32:04

I hope Charleygirl is ok.
She used to join us on the Strictly thread towards the end of last year.

Calistemon Mon 10-Jan-22 19:47:35

I hope she's ok and had noticed she had been missing.
Let's hope it's just IT problems (frustrating as they can be)

Urmstongran Mon 10-Jan-22 19:52:00

She was in soops fairly recently I think. If it’s IT gremlins hopefully she’ll be back soon.

Another concerned soul without an explanation here.

tanith Mon 10-Jan-22 20:08:50

Hi everyone I’ve just spoken to (Charleygirl) and she’s just fine she is offline due to router problems hopes to be up and running again very soon. Frustrated to put it mildly ?‍♀️??‍♀️

Chewbacca Mon 10-Jan-22 20:08:55

And another concerned pal here too.

Susan56 Mon 10-Jan-22 20:24:33

Thank you for the update tanith?

kittylester Mon 10-Jan-22 20:25:12

Thank you so much. Tanith. Bet she's cross.

TillyTrotter Mon 10-Jan-22 20:27:28

Oh that is the best news tanith Thank You.
Though not the best news for Charleygirl.
Please send her my fondest wishes.

MayBeMaw Mon 10-Jan-22 20:36:18

Huge relief Tanith ???
Maybe a lesson to us to let even just one other member have an alternative contact for us- mobile number or landline or even that of a neighbour/family member?

Marydoll Mon 10-Jan-22 20:41:59

Thank you Tanith. Another poster advised me that you would probably be able to find out. So relieved!

Urmstongran Mon 10-Jan-22 20:47:50

That’s how I managed to get in touch with EV before Christmas Maw. ‘Buddy up’ is good advice.

Chewbacca Mon 10-Jan-22 21:57:01

Such good news! smile

Buddying up is very good advice. Doesn't need to be intrusive but it's good to know that your pals notice if you're not around.

Calistemon Mon 10-Jan-22 22:18:32

Thank you Tanith, relief, annoying for Charleygirl but thank goodness she's ok.

tanith Mon 10-Jan-22 22:40:12

One of the reasons I stick with BT as I very very rarely have any problems with my connection. She’ll be up and running again soon I’m sure.

Kalu Mon 10-Jan-22 22:48:43

Oh, that is good news Tanith. Thanks for letting us know our dear friend is ok. Poor Charley will be spitting feathers until her computer problems are sorted out.

Ali08 Tue 11-Jan-22 00:48:46

Why are we not supposed to ask?

Marydoll Tue 11-Jan-22 00:57:52

Ali08

Why are we not supposed to ask?

GNHQ don't approve of us asking. It could be seen as compromising a poster's privacy.
We have been told off in the past.

Josieann Tue 11-Jan-22 07:51:44

Sorry, but why have posters been told off when mentioning a name in a concerned manner is far less innocuous and secretive than all those hidden references by some referring to posters who "castigated" and "reprimanded" them last week, last month, etc? Those comments are allowed to stand when readers probably know full well who is meant anyway. So why not the genuinely worried ones about a particular poster like Kitty's?
What I'm asking, rather messily, is .... is it the actual name that is the problem?

Josieann Tue 11-Jan-22 07:52:26

But I'm pleased Charleygirl will soon be back.
