Nannagarra Sun 13-Feb-22 22:02:08

I hope everything has gone well and that we’ll hear tomorrow. Good night everyone.

Feelingmyage55 Sun 13-Feb-22 21:30:42

I am looking to send best wishes and love to the lovely soops. Been thinking about them both all day as this operation is indeed for them both. Wishing and hoping and hoping and praying … ???

benjamina Sun 13-Feb-22 21:16:46

Gransnet at its best!
So many positive loving thoughts winging their way to soop and Mr soop.
Tomorrow will be a new start for them both x

cornergran Sun 13-Feb-22 21:10:41

Thinking of soop, hope she’s resting now and mr soop will sleep. Back tomorrow in the hope of news.

brook2704 Sun 13-Feb-22 21:09:53

That’s a good idea to cut the stem and put it in a vase Sue, I’ll do that thanks. Next time I’ll try the hurricane vase idea!

TillyTrotter Sun 13-Feb-22 21:07:43

I’m also thinking of our dear soop’s ?
I hope we have news tomorrow.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 13-Feb-22 21:02:24

Thinking and praying for our dear soops

Galen Sun 13-Feb-22 20:45:16

I’m here praying for soop as well.
I’ve a daffodil in bloom and my frogs are doing things I wouldn’t mention on such a genteel thread!?

Yiayia4 Sun 13-Feb-22 20:44:51

Healing thoughts Soop ?

Grannmarie Sun 13-Feb-22 20:36:37

My goodness, SueD, that's some bedtime ? reading ?.
Great weight loss, Blossoming, well done you! I start my new low carb regime tomorrow, so this is my last chance for a cake in Soop's honour, thanks very much to our lovely bakers!
Beautiful photos and plants. My poinsettias are just about exhausted, but my Christmas roses are still flowering well in tubs on the doorstep. My daffs are pushing through, and one stray dwarf iris has flowered already, very strange ? Spring is coming, healing time for our dear Soop.flowers
Maddyone, ?fingers crossed that your wee grandson tests negative and you can enjoy the break with him.
We visited DS1'S family on our way home from our hotel break. It was so good to see them, well recovered from their Covid bout. I'm very thankful ?.
TOYA, NNGB.

Thinking of the Soops flowers

Urmstongran Sun 13-Feb-22 20:27:13

‘Evening All’

Another here waiting for news of soop. It was a big operation. Hopefully all went well. x

SueDonim Sun 13-Feb-22 20:21:28

I hope Soop is now sleeping peacefully after her op and that tomorrow she can begin her new life! I hope Mr Soop gets some sleep, too. X

I’ve got an amaryllis growing, too. I’ve forgotten what colour so it’ll be a surprise. grin If they get too tall, once the buds open I cut the stem and put it in water in a slim vase. Though I think I saw somewhere on GN that someone had grown theirs in a hurricane vase so the stem was prevented from toppling over. What a clever idea!

I’ve got indoor hyacinths about to bloom, the scent is gorgeous.

I’m off to read a massive tome of 600 pages before Thursday so good night to you all! Xx

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 20:03:24

I will try!

brook2704 Sun 13-Feb-22 19:59:48

Please post a picture when it’s ready Callistemon!
Isn’t it lovely to see so many people in the kitchen supporting soop, squeeze up everyone, it’s a good job we brought those extra chairs in! I’ll ring round for extra cakes to be brought in ???
Thank you for your kind comments singingnutty Enjoy your get together next Sunday

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 19:46:12

No chocolate eclairs left, sorry.

I ate them all.

Callistemon21 Sun 13-Feb-22 19:45:30

brook I looked at it suspiciously for a while, but did plant it in January.
Mile a minute at the moment!

Blossoming Sun 13-Feb-22 19:14:02

Today is an ‘other foods’ day for me, gimme cream cake! Not too much though, I’ve lost 1.2kgs this week smile

Back on the porridge and soup tomorrow.

GrannyOwl5 Sun 13-Feb-22 19:06:31

Like all of us, popping my head round the door to see if there is any news. Can’t believe in the display of cream cakes!

Keep going *Mr Soop*; lots of vibes winging your way to support you.

Speedy recovery Soop. Lots to look forward to

singingnutty Sun 13-Feb-22 19:03:15

Although I don’t usually post I do follow what is happening and think you all deserve praise for the way you are supporting soop. How good it is that such firm and supportive friendships have developed online. Technology is both a blessing and a curse but more of a blessing I think.
There has been no walk today for me and DH. The weather has been awful and I have only ventured out to put the recycling bin on the pavement ready for collection tomorrow morning. The day has been well spent though planning for a big supper for 12 guests next Sunday. Our Civic Society committee members are coming here for a post Christmas gathering. BYOB event! (Snigger, snigger!)

Grannmarie Sun 13-Feb-22 18:46:12

Good evening, lovely Kitchen people, like so many of us, I have popped in hoping for news.
We are certainly 'storming Heaven' with all our prayers and good wishes for The Soops.?
I'm praying for dear Soop, and all who love her and are concerned for her, especially MrSoop, and for all the medical team taking care of her.?????

brook2704 Sun 13-Feb-22 18:34:54

Yep mines definitely a triffid Jax it’s a bit too big tbh but amazing how it grows from just the bulb…I started mine off just before Christmas Callistemon so hopefully yours will flower soon
Thanks for the cakes- yummy
I love spring daffodils and tulips too Kalu
Let’s hope there’s good news about soop soon

Kalu Sun 13-Feb-22 18:27:13

Like all of you, Soop and Mr Soop have been on my mind all day. Such a shame we can’t visit Marydoll. Just wish we could have kept Mr Soop company for a while even.

What a beautiful amaryllis Brook. I always have a white one on the go in December. So top heavy eventually, I almost end up with a fence around the stem to avoid them toppling over.

I am pretending spring has arrived with a kitchen full of sunny daffodils. I have a good imagination ?

Doodle Sun 13-Feb-22 18:20:56

Thanks for the update Marydoll. I too have popped in looking for news. Thinking of Mr Soop on his own. Hope he’s ok.
