Thank you, Tilly. Shame about your parking ticket. I like the idea of dear Soop's 'renovation', brilliant!

Welcome! Buffet is ready and the bubbly is chilled. Come on in and enjoy each other's companionship.
Yes thank you Mrsoop.
I love going to the website and seeing soop ‘s lovely face there, smiling at us.
Just a week’ish to wait now for your - shall we say - “renovation” at Ross Hall.
Granmarie that’s a lovely cake for a 2 year old!
And Grandmabatty - don’t mums and grandma’s have to have a lot of patience to see them through the “toddler tantrum” years. I hope the baby gets chicken pox mildly too. So itchy.
Wishing all a good evening;
unfortunately my day has been marred by a small matter of getting a parking ticket but it was my own blooming (costly) fault.
Grannmarie I am continually impressed with my dds parenting skills. She has much more patience than I ever did. She is very wise and always has been and I will listen to her and take her advice. No idea where it comes from!
Thanks to MrSoop for the update.
Thank John for his update. Wishing you well for your operation.
Thank you, Grandmabatty, he certainly did!
Hope your wee grandson feels more like his happy self soon, and the baby recovers from his chicken pox. Your DD sounds like a very wise wee mammy.
Grannmarie the cake looks fantastic. I bet the birthday boy enjoyed it and had a good time. I'm exhausted! Dd and the boys came round and stayed for four hours. Dgs1 was very difficult today. Lots of screaming, hitting his mum and biting. She manages his behaviour really well and has endless patience. We suspect it's because he's been stuck inside for a few days and he's full of repressed energy. Unfortunately the baby now has chicken pox and is covered in spots so they can't really go out. I'm going to take him to the park on Friday morning to get rid of his pent up energy. For today I'm going to put away all the toys and collapse onto the couch. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners.
Just received an update from John. Good luck and hope all goes well
Thank you, Muse.
Your tasting job sounds amazing!
Talking of breakfasts - MrM prepares it nearly every day. Cooks it (poached eggs) twice a week.
I'm using the NHS Better Health app and log calories and exercise. Today's breakfast was my granola cereal plus lots of fruit. MrM put a little more than usual in the bowl. I'd always assumed he gave me the 45g as recommended on the packet. I decided to weigh it this morning. 119g !
I've just signed up as a taster for Sainsbury's. Italian week is coming up and I had a choice of lots of lovely food. Most of the choices had gone (first come, first served). I've chosen a chicken and pesto pizza. Salad with it of course ?
Excellent cake Grannmarie. The brick effect is brilliant. Sorry your DS1'S family couldn't be there. Hope the two of them recover fully.
I have not forgotten you lovely lot, far from it.
We have much to attend to and it was a very bust weekend. I hope to return for a more fulsome chat later this afternoon.
Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!
Not long now, Soop, 7 more sleeps. ?
Please rest now in preparation for the big day.
Blossoming, good luck with your new eating plan, I wish I had your willpower! Thank you for the attachment, that looks very interesting. I'm not diabetic but I'm struggling to lose weight. I've just signed up with Second Nature, after years of losing/ gaining on Slimming World.
DGS2 is 2 today, we had a lovely family gathering at theirs on Saturday to celebrate. The party theme was diggers, balloons, decorations, table ware, even the cake had diggers on it! He has a wee ride on digger and a yellow hard hat for his main present!
Sadly, DS1'S family couldn't be there 'cos DS1 and DGD have Covid. Such a worry as he is CEV but both their symptoms are very mild, thanks be to God. He has had his 4 jags and the GP doesn't think he'll require anti virals.
TOYA, especially those with illness, worries or sorrow. Take care ?
(That was a joke, btw)-!
So much criticism of my eating plans! I’m not asking you all to join me
soup and coffee would suit me better. I may be Scottish but I loathe porridge mainly because I was forced to eat it at school.
My trip outside today was sorting out the bins for tomorrow. There was a biting wind-I was pleased I was not going anywhere. The sun was out today so I switched off the heating for a few hours.
Not long now soop. Sweetiepie will miss her lovely meals if she visits during the time you are away. By summertime, that cat will be snoozing at least in your kitchen or may have moved to a comfier area like an armchair.
Hello Kitcheners.
Beautiful frosty/snowy photographs brook.
Too much talk of food in the kitchen today especially curry. Curry for us tonight too!? Spice Tailor "Punjabi Tomato Curry" . Discovered these last year and they are so easy. MrM just had to clean out the pan with some crusty bread. We very nearly had sprouts with our's Jax.
Good luck with the 5:2 diet Blossoming and Urms too in getting on the next course.
Enjoy that holiday kitty and you corner in the cafe with your friend. Hope there are some lovely comfy chairs for you both. The world definitely needs putting to rights.
Take care N&G and hope you get some sunshine to brighten your day.
Not along to go soop and thank you for the M+S chocolatey delights Dogsmakemesmile.
Interesting menu Blossoming I was surprised by the cheese in the last soup recipe, I wish you well on it, I think I could do it for a couple of weeks if I was on my own.
We’ve had another sport day, I just love the FA cup it really throws up surprises.
I did get a walk, after the showers, we had curry for dinner, MrJ was quite aghast I had mine with cabbage, not rice, I’d happily eat more veg, him not so much.
Have a pleasant evening all x
That’s a shame * Urms*
I’m used to having to restrict my diet at times, it isn’t going to be forever but it will help to set me on the path. It’s helpful to me to know in advance what I’m going to be eating each day, rather than deciding on a daily basis. My wonky brain likes routine, it feels comfortable.
I do eat my porridge completely plain. Love it that way.
Sadly (for my shape) I also like toast, butter and marmalade.
Or eggs with buttered crumpets.
Occasionally smoked buttered kippers with toast.
Or a full English.
I like variety in a morning, as you can see.
Oh dear ... ?
For reasons unknown to me the meetings got cancelled. I’m on the list for the next rescheduling Blossoming I was really disappointed.
I don’t have a sweet tooth Nannytopsy, my porridge gets a sprinkling of flaked almonds and dried cranberries.
My Aberdeen grandmother was always horrified at the idea of people putting sugar or jam on their porridge
in not I!
Nor me!
Much as I like porridge, it needs syrup!
Best wishes to all I need of them ?
Urmstongran
I couldn’t. ?
I love soup and I love porridge and I often have to go on a soft diet due to existing health problems, so it isn’t a massive hardship for me. I hope the program works well for you Urms, when do your meetings start?
