Thanks baggs. Please say thank you to MrSoop, for thinking of us and ask him to give our love to*soop*.

Good news.

Baggs Thu 17-Feb-22 05:24:09

Morning Soopers! I received a message from MrS after I’d switched my phone to “do not disturb” mode for the night. (I go to bed very early by most people’s standards).

MrS says: “…out of HDU and in her own room. Surgeon happy with progress.”

Onward and upward! ❤️

So sorry to hear about your dear friend, Aldom,??. Thinking of you.

I'm not long home from our childcare day with DGS2, tricky drive home with the high winds. Good job MrSoop got home when he did cos Rest and be Thankful was closed today, it doesn't cope well with bad weather. The only road open to Argyll was the Old Military Road. The Erskine Bridge, 1 mile from DS2 's new home where we were today, was closed to high sided vehicles, trains stopped at 4pm, ferries cancelled... batten down the hatches ladies!
I hope Soop and her dear man sleep well tonight.
TOYA, NNGB. ? ?

Hope you had a great day of child care?the weather is so awfull put there and set to continue for a day or two.....my grandson whos
3 years old lives with us full time and was due to take him clothes shopping tommorrow as he's had a growth spurt and nothing fits him anymore ? ...so we will have to go Saturday weather permitting xx

It’s very good news about soop. I’m so pleased she’s doing well.
Aldom so sorry about your friend. Thinking of you.
Our young man is still testing positive so he’s still confined. He’s losing all his half term to isolation, but it is what it is. He’s not at all unwell now.
Good night everyone.

Aldom Wed 16-Feb-22 23:10:20

Goodnight everyone, and thank you for your kind words about my friend.

Nannyfaraway Wed 16-Feb-22 22:49:42

Thanks for the update Mary doll.
Sorry to hear you might be leaving us.
Also sorry to hear the sad news about your friend. Thinking of you and praying your friend will pull through

Hellogirl1 Wed 16-Feb-22 22:30:22

Thank you to Baggs and Marydoll for the updates on how Soop is getting on. Best wishes too to Mr Soop, hope he`s managing OK at home.
Ann, sorry to read that you may be leaving us, hopefully it will only be temporary as you will be missed.
Can I brag for a minute please? At the weekend I went with 2 of my daughters to the O2 Arena in London for the Strictly tour. We stayed in the O2 Intercontinental next door to the arena, also where the Strictly stars stay. They were nearly all in the bar on Saturday night, in close proximity to us, and I ended up having my photo taken with Graziano, then with Johannes, both of whom were lovely.

Sad news Aldom.
Well done soop - you will be home before you know it.
The wind has been howling around tonight with torrential rain, just as we walked from the car to the village hall!
It was the garden club tonight and it’s nice to be thinking of planting again.

TillyTrotter Wed 16-Feb-22 21:39:34

I’m sorry to read your truly awful news of your friend Aldom . I hope she can pull through. The waiting and hoping will be dreadful. ?

Thank you for the ‘weather wishes’. So far it’s just a bit gusty now and then and rain battering on the windows. So long as the power stays on. ?

I hope everyone else keeps safe - no going outside until it’s all over! Xxx

Grandmabatty Wed 16-Feb-22 20:16:05

Callistemon21 Wed 16-Feb-22 19:48:45

Marydoll

Soop sends her love. She sounds upbeat this morning, but says life is hectic!

Good news indeed.
However, there's no peace in hospital!

Aldom I'm sorry to hear about your friend, a very anxious time for you and her family.

Stay safe in the storms, everyone, apparently Dudley was not supposed to hit us here but it's been extremely windy and Eunice is supposed to be far worse.
Batten down the hatches!

brook2704 Wed 16-Feb-22 19:45:19

Urmstongran Wed 16-Feb-22 19:31:16

‘Evening All’

Goodness, those high winds from Storm Dudley have certainly got up to high doe around here this last hour or so! An evening to batten down the hatches and count our blessings tonight. Great news about soop I bet she’s one of the favourites on that ward already. She just has the nicest personality. x

Sending positive thoughts and good wishes to Soop.
A dear friend of mine is on life support after an aneurism burst in her brain.
She is a wonderful, supportive and kind person. Life can be so cruel.
The storm is at its height tonight. Just been into the back garden to check that everything is secure.
Sleep well tonight Soop and mr. Soop. flowersshamrock

dustyangel Wed 16-Feb-22 19:13:05

Sudonim , I said to DH earlier that Scotland are having really bad weather this year, fingers are firmly crossed for you.

Charleygirl5 Wed 16-Feb-22 19:00:02

T15C here today-no sunshine and only a little rain. I think and hope the storm will pass us by but maybe appearing on Friday.

I hope soop is back in her room with TV for entertainment.

Tilly those flowers are beautiful and expertly arranged. My daffodils are opening slowly outside.
TOYA

brook2704 Wed 16-Feb-22 18:08:51

Everything crossed for you Sue I think you’ve had your fair share of storms recently!
We’re lucky here too as I think we’re too far north to be blown away this time but we did have overnight snow and it’s been cold and wet all day ?
Sorry to hear you’re thinking of leaving annsixty but hope we can still see you in the warm and friendly kitchen, take care ?
