Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, and dry at the moment here in brackley this morning .
Today a quiet day planned apart from general housework .
My week ahead very much as usual apart from getting stitches removed mid week.
Take Care,
Mick

Morning everyone from a dreary and grey north Kent coast, but it’s going to be dry apparently.

Art group this morning where we are continuing to use acrylic paints. Enjoying it very much; painted a seascape yesterday which I am pleased with; discovered that it is easy to cover hands and sleeves with paint as well as the paper. Used to be the same when I decorated; always more paint on me than the walls.

DS just texted to say GD3 (6) has tested +itive. She’s feeling ok, looking a bit pasty but furious she can’t go to school. We were supposed to be seeing them on Wednesday for GD2’s birthday (11) so will have to be content with seeing them from the drive. Another week of worrying that they’ll all be ok; DD and family back in the world last week after their covid bouts.

Hope you all have a good day

Good morning all from a grey S Hants, 4deg.
Happy Birthday Llamas ?
Tidying house and making soup today, scotch broth for Burns night tomorrow.
Best Wishes for those with medical appointments, may your news be positive.
Have the best day all ??

Lins1066 Mon 24-Jan-22 08:37:48

Good luck to your dd Gingster I will be thinking of her.
You too Boat and all with medical appointments today.

Lins1066 Mon 24-Jan-22 08:33:37

Good morning Mick and all from our corner of the S Welsh coast, a grey morning here but dry.
DD walked up Pen Y Fan yesterday and took the little dog for some much needed exercise. She has done the walk before as part of the Three Peaks Challenge. We

Happy birthday Llamas99, my friend's dgs is currently in university in Tennesse on a golfing scholarship. I phoned her yesterday and she said how cold it was there, no golf or any outdoor sports going on, what a coincidence.
DD is going on holiday to the USA in a few weeks, it has been rearranged a few times because of the virus.

No plans for today and that suits me fine. Thinking of all who are experiencing troubles of any sort, a cwtch from me.

Good Morning All x.
I don't know what it's doing out but I know it isn't wet as the cats have trooped in and are dry. They're now fed and settled.

I don't know what I'll be up to today, though cupboards need sorting and I'd love to make a start on them at some point as I'm sure there'll be enough rubbish to fill the bin for the next few weeks. Depends how much energy I can muster.

I was speaking to a " garden " neighbour yesterday and felt quite excited that it won't be too long until we'll be having our coffee gatherings. Last summer went so quickly as we all spent most of our time outdoors and it was lovely. I think the sea air kept us going through the winter as we were outside more than in. Who needs holidays ? smile

All eyes will be on the river here next month as Russian naval vessels will be sailing to Ireland on exercises off the South coast. A bit too close for comfort sad We'll see.

Hope everyone's okay and waiting for the lighter nights/ mornings which make a difference, healthwise.

Loved the shoes Urms, little girls love their dollies, I know I did. Enjoy the next couple of days.

A Happy Birthday Llamas99 wine Many of 'em.

Bathroom will be warm enough to shower now so I'll skoot off and perform my ablutions then have the crumpets.
Stay safe, well and warm. xx

Good morning from Staffordshire.

I had a disturbed nights sleep and was still wide awake when the alarm went off at 4.30?I’m sure I will sleep on the journey home later.

A quiet day planned as DGS is tired after two birthday parties at the weekend and his usual activities.I have a feeling we will all be having a nap later.

Hope your daughters consultation goes well Gingster???

Take care everyone and stay safe???

Grandmabatty Mon 24-Jan-22 08:25:18

Good morning all from Polmont where it's 8° again. A heady mix of clouds and blue skies above. Happy birthday to Llamas99. Yesterday I made banana bread, mainly for my sil and dgs as they both like it, and a lasagne for my dinner. I pottered about and didn't really do much clearing out as I had developed a sore throat over the last few days and couldn't be bothered. I'm feeling a bit better today. This virus which I've had for two weeks has been a corker. Today I have no plans. I'll see what the day brings. Have a good day all.

Grandmajean Mon 24-Jan-22 08:21:43

Happy birthday Llamas
Thinking of your DD Gingster and hope minimal treatment needed.
Lazy day yesterday so took myself off for a brisk walk round the village in the evening. It was very chilly.
Have as good a day as possible everyone ☺️

Good morning from East Yorkshire. It is a grey sky greeting me as I look outside.

Not a lot going on for me at the moment just the usual boring mundane stuff. So a bit of housework, making soup, phone calls today.

Happy Birthday Llama have a lovely day

Pittcity Mon 24-Jan-22 08:08:39

Happy birthday Lamas99 flowers

Good morning from bloomin cold Yorkshire... brrrrr.

Today ! Well, its Monday so i am going to visit the lady who lives at the farm, we sit and chat over coffee. She had a fall last year and broke her leg ( at 88) but she is doing amazing.

Yesterday i spent the afternoon with my neighbour, she is just brilliant, just had water infection, the antibiotics have done their magic.

Tonight i have booked a Chinese restaurant for my daughters birthday, it will be the last of her 30's.

At some point today i am going to do more work on my bags ( drawstring). My sewing machine is playing up, i think its all to do with the tension, driving me crackers having to re-thread umpteen times. I have found a local sewing machine repair place so if i have a day like previous then its going there grrrrrr.

Enjoy your day everyone smile ( if you hear a loud smash, its my sewing machine being thrown through my window haaaaaaa )

Good morning from a still very dark Oxfordshire. A new working week begins, must admit, I don't feel very enthused. I daydream about retirement, all that time for walking, baking, gardening, reading to my heart's content, but it is another few years away and it's not good to wish your life away. Meanwhile, back in the real world the laptop beckons grin. Have an enjoyable Monday everyone.

Scentia Mon 24-Jan-22 07:57:50

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels warmer.
Off to work shortly and I may put in a full day!!
Just trying to work my way through a massive bowl of nutty granola and it is like chewing concrete?
I will read your posts later, as I am late getting up. Never thought I would ever say that???
Take care everyone and stay safe.

Gingster Mon 24-Jan-22 07:53:27

Good morning all and the sky is just beginning to lighten here in Essex.

Today DD goes to see the consultant to hear what the next step in her cancer treatment will be, so we will all be on edge waiting to hear.

She has 4 friends, all with some type of cancer and they are all in their early 40’s.

Happy birthday Llama. Lovely to hear from you all those miles away ??

Good luck Boat with your appointment. My friend has the same condition. ?

Loved the pic of the little shoes Urms. So cute! I remember when no 1 son was small, he used to leave his slippers next to his dads at the front door. ❤️

Lovely treasure Alizirin. Gd obviously takes after her NANNA .

I hope your ear has healed nicely Mick. ?

Hoping you all have a pleasant day . ??

GrandmaSeaDragon Mon 24-Jan-22 07:49:44

Good morning to you all from Rutland where it’s +2 and very dark and still.

Housework and washing today, then I shall return to the allotment to complete the raspberry pruning and then give them a mulch. Had to stop yesterday, when back dictated it had done enough! There’s much to be done, but am learning to pace myself.

Do hope we see a bit of sun later. Wishing you all the best day possible.

brook2704 Mon 24-Jan-22 07:48:38

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold and windy
They look like lovely interesting treasures for your DGD Alizarin and even better that she found them all herself on the beach.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Llamas enjoy your special day! ??
Today I’m going for a splash around at the Aqua class at the gym and have a catch up on news with the ladies there. After that I’ll maybe do a bit of shopping in town and get a coffee out.
Hoping your visit to the eye clinic goes ok today boat, what a lovely kind friend you have to drive you there too
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Nannytopsy Mon 24-Jan-22 07:43:03

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Suffolk is grey but forecast to be dry today. I am meeting a friend for some birdwatching today then we have the little people overnight. Grandpa is on school duty!
Happy Birthday * Llamas99* !
This has been a short trip for you Urms but how lovely to spend time in the sun.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Marydoll Mon 24-Jan-22 07:41:32

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its 7 °C. There is no rain forecast, so the washing will be going out. It won't dry, but will spend less time in the drier, helping to save the planet!
Glad to hear that your ear is no longer causing you problems Mick.

Happy birthday and a warm welcome to Llamas79, enjoy your day!

We had some unexpected time with Dollie yesterday, as usual she was a delight.
DIL messaged to ask to borrow our carpet cleaner, because the men who delivered their new washing machine at 7am (!!!!) had left muddy footprints all over their carpet!
I knew DIL wouldn't be able to fit it in her Mini, so I suggested to papa that we drop it off. It was nothing to do with being altruistic, it was the perfect excuse to see Dollie. ?

What a welcome we got from her. We were treated to a magic show, it was hilarious, as she had no magic props and was making it up as she went along.
Increasingly frustrated with her papa, who as her magician's assistant, unsurprisingly kept mishearing her instructions she had us in stitches, as she got more and more annoyed with him. ?

I spent most of yesterday working on that blasted audit. It wasn't easy, I can tell you. It had to be done electronically and was even more complicated than previous years. I felt as if I was back at school, writing extensive reports, with all the appropriate jargon and targets! Heaven help anyone, who is not IT literate.
Hopefully I will complete it today?.

Alizarin, I would love a rake in that Victorian tip!!

Wishing you all a pleasant day, I'm off to catch up with GN.

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, dry corner of Somerset.

Yesterday turned into a lazy one although I did manage to shrink the contents of my wardrobe. Met our neighbours daughter, our only contact had been via WhatsApp over her mums accident. She was just as I had pictured her. Goodness knows what she thought of me. hmm.

Mr C wants to go looking for a new tv. I’d rather not but he’s right, our current one won’t limp along forever. Admin to do once we return.

Have the best day you can everyone. Hope Monday is kind to us all.

grandMattie Mon 24-Jan-22 07:35:51

GBaublesg, sadly not ye sorted - but at least we have sourced the problem. More work including crowns yet to come… ☹️

boat Mon 24-Jan-22 07:30:46

Good morning Mick and all. Too dark to see just now but I suspect N. Warwickshire is still grey.

Big 6 weekly outing today to the Eye Clinic where a doctor who once said to me, "I suspect you think of me as the kack handed one", will inject me in my left eye because I have Wet Macular Degeneration.

Gradually I am loosing central vision in that eye. It's like having Dyslexia. I have to close that eye before I can read Killer Sudoku has become a real challenge.

This has been going on for over four years. All that time my lovely young friend who I think should have been a doctor or similar but grew up in the Philipines with no formal education has been driving me there. She is is a saint.

Beechnut Mon 24-Jan-22 07:18:31

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Dry and warmer this morning.

Happy Birthday Lamas99 ??

I enjoyed my trip out yesterday. It gave me a boost. I stocked up on soap and shower gel. Only bought what I needed in Hobbycraft. I often see things I like and chuck it in the basket.

Today I’ll see what the washing basket looks like and put away my fake Christmas mantle. It’s an awkward thing to carry.

Take care all ??

Urmstongran Mon 24-Jan-22 07:15:22

kitty what did you do in your first lesson? I’m just curious.
?

baubles Mon 24-Jan-22 07:13:43

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry and cold at 3*.

You must be pleased to have finally had your dental problems sorted Mattie.

Sweet photo Urms and yours Alizarin, that does look like an ear.

Happy Birthday Llamas99

Work today, my start time is 10 which is quite civilised, I’ll be in a bit earlier though.

Have a good day everyone. ??

kittylester Mon 24-Jan-22 07:06:25

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Must get going as we have a man coming to clean the cooker at 8 (!!!!) and I have a singing lesson at 11.00. I absolutely loved the first lesson but doubt I have improved!!

Have the best day possible everyone.
