Given up on Nerdle today. I don’t get it at all.?
I knew that my first two successes were a fluke!

That’s me beaten on this one. I had the last 4 letters in the correct place on the last 2 lines but chose the wrong letter both times at the start of word.

lemsip, that’s so true. It’s becoming something of an addiction, I must try to limit myself.

Oh sorry * Marydoll*. I noticed at 10.30 the first one was full and I scanned down the list and couldn’t see a new one. So, I started one off once I figured out how to do it. Great minds!

I'm wondering if I can stay up to try Wordle at midnight

I’ve done that a few times muse. The first night I did it because I was lying awake and noticed it was after midnight and opened Wordle. I entered the first random 5 letter word that popped into my head “Light” and that was it solved in one. A freaky wild guess. I couldn’t believe my eyes when it all turned green on the first go.

Now we have two threads. I couldn't find a new one, so started one. I will ask HQ to delete mine.

Same with me HettyBetty I've been warned by DD not to do Absurdle. She knows I love these puzzles and can spend a little too much time on them. I think I might take a brief look tomorrow. Well done with the 2 goes today. Love Nerdle and do the mini 6 and big 8 version.

Absurdle - you get 5 blank squares and you just blindly make a 5 letter word. If your letters are in the right you get a green in that square. Sorry, I’m not explaining it properly. Just go on to the game and you’ll get it. The advantage is you can play as many times as you like, unlike Wordle . Please try it….you will love it ….

We haven't tried Absurdle, I might look at it tomorrow but feel as though enough time is being taken up already. DH was given the GCHQ puzzle book for Christmas and is steadily ploughing his way through that. No idle brains here!

Wordle and Nerdle have taken over the family WhatsApp group, everyone is doing it. Today's best result was Wordle in two rows. Not me, one of the adult DC. One person couldn't get who is usually very good. Lots of discussion of tactics going on too.
