Good morning from Derbyshire where it's dry with a bright but cooler day forecast.

I'm off to the supermarket soon. Later this morning we have an errand to run for an elderly relative, returning a heart monitor to the hospital in Derby. I've got to go too as it's easier for me to take it in to reception while DH does a lap of the hospital one way system, rather than trying to park the car. We'll stop off for lunch somewhere afterwards.

Hope everyone has a good day today. Thoughts for everyone struggling in any way.

Good morning from Cheshire where it's definitely chilly again.
Top up shop today as friends coming round at the weekend. Choir late afternoon and my turn to drive.
Have as good a day as possible everyone ?

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is damp and cold.
We arrived home yesterday afternoon after a lovely break in Suffolk.
Washing, ironing and cleaning today, what fun ?.
Enjoy Thursday everyone xx

Good morning Mick, morning all from cold South Lanarkshire where we have a dusting of snow.

I’m pleased for you gMattie, you’ve had so much stress to cope with it’s no wonder you’ve been feeling wiped out.

Our east coast childminding day today which always features an ice cream for the eldest and coffee and cake for us. I share my cake with the little one.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning fro Sefton. Dark clouds are drifting across a pale blue sky.
Meeting friends this afternoon after I’ve had yet another go at unleavened bread ?. Currently yoghurt and raising agents are conspiring to defeat me; the bread I make with yeast is a doddle in comparison.
Thinking of you all. Whatever you plan, keep safe and keep smiling.

Good morning Mick and all from a cooler S Hants. Progress grandMattie with the Letters of Administration, it’s unnecessarily made hard work and must be painful at times.
Love the ‘Tadpoles’ Ash makes me smile.
We went out for dinner last night, there is an offer on at a local restaurant, I had John Dory, a fish I’ve not eaten before, in a crab bisque with samphire, I’d eat it again.
Voluntary phones today and a walk, coat and gloves back out. Enjoy your day all, ??
Thoughts with those struggling ?.

Morning everyone from a 5.3c south coast. At least there's no frost.

It's WI this afternoon and I have been looking forward to seeing my chums there. Not sure about driving as my head is still a bit whoozy but DH will act as my chauffeur if required.

Glad the legal stuff is finally almost sorted Mattie and you can move ahead with things. It has not been easy for you and your family with all the uncertainty.

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Your talk sounds very interesting, Ash. In our little town, one of the Cinque Ports, there is a straight part of the town walls called “the Butts”! As it was obligatory for yeomen and serfs to target practice every week - surely not on a Sunday!

Good morning from a dry Torbay after a wet evening and a slightly belated welcome to Ali23. This thread always starts my day well so I hope it works for you, too.

That is good news about the progress with the Letters of Administration, grandMattie. What a relief after such a delay! These legal beavers have no idea of the stress their inefficiency adds to the heartbreak of the bereaved. I hope all will go smoothly for you now.

Yesterday at the theatre we had a talk from a Toads member on toxophily, known to we lesser mortals as archery! I enjoyed hearing of the history of our success in battles in centuries past because of the skills of our archers but my interest faded when it came to the technical side of the various bows and their manufacture.

Enjoy the theatre, Kim19 and let us know how it goes. Our youth group (Tadpoles) is performing The Brothers Grimms' Spectaculathon this week. From what I’ve heard, rehearsals have been grim but it is of a reasonable standard now for audiences.

Wishing you all relief from pain or worries. ?????

Hello everyone. Hope your Thursday is lovely. I've lunch with a friend to look forward to. Have one every day this week. Amazing! Just love my lunches. Next week GC and parents are coming to stay for half term. Does life get better than this?!! We've planned a fun meal out followed by theatre. So looking forward to it. Soon be out of the dreary February weather. Onwards!

So pleased things are finally moving forward for you grandmattie ?

Good morning everyone,
Thank you for the many welcome messages. I’m in Leicester. All quiet here, as I’m the only one in the house who is awake .
Today we’ll have our usual dog walk then off to do a food shop as the cupboard is bare! This afternoon I have a blood test then I’m planning to pop into my sister’s.
Have a good day, all.

Morning Mick and Kim - I know you’ll be on next!

A good day, sunny and bright is on order from the Island weatherbarn today - hope lovely Laura is listening as I have some bedding for the dhobi wallah...??

Loved the phrase Good Moaning but hope the leg gets sorted Fanny and that night away sounds lovely GG - we’ve sorted something similar for Valentines next week - can’t wait!

Trotting off to the home of the goats (llandudno) this morning- they’ve been out and about amusing the visitors again ? and will pop in to see if DD is better after having tonsillitis- first time since she was in primary school!

Stay safe and well everyone x

Good morning from a chilly E Kent. The thermometer is on a downward trend from now on…. I find these peculiarities of the weather very odd ATM.
Yippee! We have finally got the Letters of Administration for Philip’s estate. We were promised a wait of a maximum of 8 weeks - it took 19 weeks, mostly because they sent us the wrong forms to fill in, then mislaid them, then…. Now we can sell the house, close bank accounts, repay mortgages, etc. Still being ambushed by emotions; it will pass.
Spanish this morning, bank with above mentioned LoA this afternoon. I just might be allowed 30 minutes shopping in Canterbury.
Have been feeling wiped out recently, probably my head going in overdrive, it is very wearing.
I hope everyone has a gentle day, no big worries or sadness. Carpe diem. ?????☀️❤️

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Dark and dry here on Severnside.

As it seems it’s going to be a reasonable day I think I’ll go and do some garden work this morning. Heavy rain forecast for Saturday so I’ll put my wooden chairs out on the patio for them to have a rain wash.

Have a good day everyone ?
