It's a very damp, soggy Cornwall again. Rain is here for the day.

It's lovely to hear all the messages for soop here. Thinking of her now even more as 12:30, I believe, was the time for surgery.

Many of you do look into soop's kitchen but for those that don't, there was a lovely message from Baggs last night too. Soop had rung her yesterday morning. Soop herself posted last Thursday that I shall show Mr Soop how he can locate you lot. From time to time, he will update you whenever he has the opportunity.

I will be cooking beef for DH today, which is a huge sacrifice () for me as I am a life long vegetarian (plus a bit of fish when I have to).
But he needs building up, and deserves a treat.

Good morning everyone from a grey and very wet Algarve. Having had a long term forecast saying we should all be worried about the dams drying up, it does seem somewhat ironic. At least it’s watering my freesias which I’m checking daily at the moment for the first one to burst into flower. I can see one from where I’m sitting with my coffee, and I think it will be later today, with a with a nice dank background.

Now I can go back to read of all your doings.

Urmstongran I am rather shocked by your post about mentions of Soop and I hope you have thought better of it now, as it seems out of character. Many Gransnetters who supported the fundraising don’t read the kitchen thread and will obviously want to post their best wishes and receive updates.

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast. Pity it’s damp as a friend is coming over to the seaside from deepest Cheshire, so not sure what we are going to do apart from hand him a hot dog and cuppa soup when he arrives (I do go to a lot of trouble,,,) but out for meal tonight.
I’m waiting to see if I feel any different after stopping my hormone medication for BC a few days ago. One thing hasn’t changed, I feel like death in the morning.
I enjoyed the day to myself yesterday, a little mending and making smoothies. Satisfying to use things up in the fridge, but left the onion out, a bitter mistake I once made.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a very wet and dark Carlisle. No going outside today then. Though I'm still feeling a bit lightheaded after my venesection on Thursday so just as well I'm not tempted.
Yesterday I ordered some old-fashioned roses from a website I'd found that had a huge variety of them. So so difficult to choose only 6.
I've made a start on preparations for sticking up a magnetic noticeboard in the kitchen, somewhere to put all my lists that I'm an avid maker of these days. I wouldn't get anything done otherwise but ticking things off spurs me on to do something other than read a book or play on my tablet.

I don't read the goings on in Soop 's kitchen very often (perhaps I should) but do like to be kept up to date with how she is doing....and my very best wishes to her at the moment.

Your poor DH grandMattie I hope something can be done for him other than doping his pain with what sounds like a very unpleasant drug.

Good morning Mick and everybody. It’s raining in my corner of Lancashire this morning with no signs of letting up, currently 8°C.

No plans for today other than usual physio exercises and cycling on my exercise bike if I can’t get out for a walk. Mr. B has been making bird boxes, I am looking forward to seeing the results.

Slept in this morning after family visit yesterday. GD is covid free after just over a week.
DD and SIL coming this afternoon and will stay over so that we can have wine with dinner tonight.

It’s fairly throwing the rain down here , I have all the doors and windows open as my lovely cleaning lady is in , and she has only had one jab ! But she does do LFT as do I , but I have decamped to next door while I wait to to go back in

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Northampton, not actually raining but more is forecast. So no plans to go out today.

Had a pleasant walk to and back from the garden centre yesterday, where I failed to find a good birthday card for DS. They used to have a really good selection, but was disappointing yesterday. I settled for a free coffee in the extremely busy cafe instead. Hardly anyone wearing masks around the actual store, but I kept mine on (apart from the cafe). Nearly bought a new coat in the Cotton Traders concession, but I needed the next size up,.which they didn't have.

Watched the rugby when I got back, then later enjoyed the programmes about Carole King, and caught up with some recorded programmes. Ordered a birthday card for DS online, and also a book for his present - I shall probably get him a bottle of something nice as well!

Ooh, I forgot, was very brave and actually went on air yesterday morning to solve a clue on our local radio's Treasure Quest programme. Was very nervous but it seemed to go ok.

No plans except the papers today, rugby on tv, and start my new book. I have booked to see Death on the Nile at the cinema next Sunday and like to read the book before I go.

Good morning all from a grey W Kent. Finally taken emergency turkey out of freezer and cooking it today for DS and family. It looks huge o'h dear, glad we didn't need it at C....s. Best wishes to all.

Grey and windy here in Oxfordshire, heavy rain expected today, so a wet dog walk for us. Good day yesterday, DH took GS to barbers and treated him and GD to lunch, we dropped them off and sauntered around local garden centre and bought delicious cheese and lovely veg in the shop, tomato and flower seeds also purchased, along with a boot full of compost. We grow lots of flowers to cover a large bank area alongside the house and enough tomatoes to make sauce/chutney/soup on an industrial scale. Chicken and roasties to prep for later and a quiet day expected ready for another chemo treatment day tomorrow for DD1.

Morning everyone and Hi Ashcombe in Torbay. I do so miss the walks in and around Torquay. We had a relation down there for a few years. Loved walking to Babbacombe along the coast walk, Anstey's Cove, out to Berry Head and the coast walk from Meadfoot to the harbour. We have stayed at the Osborne a few times. Horrible weather here in West Yorkshire. Have a good day all!
