Best, Best Savoury Snacks! ?

For me it’s maize based stuff as opposed to potato based.

Snaps, Quavers, Wotsits and the like… although I am partial to Hula Hoops…

And as mentioned on the Chocolate thread:
Scampi Fries and Cheesy Moments - available behind the bar of your local in the 90’s (do they still do them?)

So, what is your savoury snack of choice?

Thank you smile

Tayto cheese and onion crisps are my all time favourite

they are like crack. ??
. Oh, that me laughing out loud JJ

Pistachios, Brazil nuts, hazel nuts, cashews. Probably a lot quicker if I just write, nuts! Also love garlic stuffed olives plus cheese and more cheese.

Just finished one of my favourite snacks, 2 Dark Rye Ryvita, thickly spread President butter with a generous helping of Edam in between the two.

I don’t have a sweet tooth and find most sweet offerings quite sickly.

Crisps in any form. I was saved from myself when living overseas. Boring crisps. Now that m back in the UK I have to try hard to avoid them.

Monster munch.
Walkers.
Supermarket own.
Posh.
Cheap.

I have an old friend who adores M&S cheese scones. From what she says it’s probably as well I don’t live near an M&S, nor do they/Ocado deliver out here in the sticks!

Thanks Greyduster I will add a box of those biscuits to my next Ocado order.
You sound like my kind of womansmile

It’s all about the carbs and salt; and then when you add cheese to the equation ?

I love nuts, especially cashews. And toffee popcorn now and then as a treat.
Pringles are the devils work as I can't stop chomping once I open the top. They are responsible for my spare tyre!

Dry roast peanuts, hula hoops, marmite crisps (when I can find them), crisp and banana sandwich.

Greyduster Wed 23-Feb-22 16:47:53

I found a box of M&S Cornish Cruncher biscuits in my cupboard left over from Christmas. They were part of a hamper DD made up for us. I didn’t realise they were cheese biscuits until I tried one. They are beyond delicious. I offered one to DH who said he would “have one later”! There was no “later”. I couldn’t stop eating them!! He was disgusted. I was pretty disgusted too?!

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 23-Feb-22 16:41:06

I wish I didn’t love Walkers because I can’t stand Gary Lineker.

Maggiemaybe Wed 23-Feb-22 16:21:48

^If Walkers are Gary Lineker,
then Seabrooks are Lionel Messi^

Yes indeed! When DD2 was a student in Glasgow, she couldn't find her favourite Seabrooks. Fortunately DH worked for a transport company round the corner from the factory and managed to get the odd box up to her. smile

crazyH Wed 23-Feb-22 14:53:01

A whole packet of Seabrooks ready salted crisps

3dognight Wed 23-Feb-22 14:47:44

MissAdventure Wed 23-Feb-22 13:56:13

timetogo2016 Wed 23-Feb-22 13:54:46

Hula Hoop Puffs,Walkers sensations,Sainsburys Taste the difference,Tesco`s finest but we never eat salt n vinegar.
Carr`s cheese melts with soft cheese spread and a cheese toastie.

FannyCornforth Wed 23-Feb-22 13:40:02

No offence DanniRae, but you’re a lightweight!
I’ve been known to eat six packets of Pom ? s

DanniRae Wed 23-Feb-22 11:52:01

I have a confession ........ on a Friday evening when Mr R goes out and I have a little drink I have a snack too. Any sort of crisps except salt and vinegar but one pack is never enough so I have two. blush I don't feel too bad because there's only about five or six crisps in each bag! wink

MissAdventure Wed 23-Feb-22 11:44:00

Has anyone tried 'pops' from Aldi?
They are lower in fat, but are lovely.
Kind of swizzly on the tongue.

FannyCornforth Wed 23-Feb-22 11:39:51
