Okay, it was suggested on a different thread that a new thread should be started about this, so here goes.
So do we need a monarchy today? That’s it really.

Ah, right. Yes. No thanks.

Grany Wed 16-Mar-22 14:45:12

Would have been better I think than thoses Hanover Windsor

The best is a Republic

Personally, I'd go for Danny Dyer. Or Josh Widdicombe.

Ah, go on mate, a good down-to-earth Aussie male? Bonzer!!

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Mar-22 15:01:23

Well I’ve always had a soft spot for Aussie blokes. Go on then, twist my arm!

Ooh, tell me more, sounds interesting grin

Nothing to tell sadly. But I did watch Crocodile Dundee.?

The rightful person is Laura Lopes, daughter of Charles, she is older than William .

There is proof, her wedding gown was designed by the same designer of Camilla’s second wedding dress and her daughter was flower girl at Kate and William’s wedding , she was a guest at the marriage of Camilla and Charles

How strange, then, that Laura is the absolute spitting image of Andrew Parker-Bowles (her father).

Anniebach Wed 16-Mar-22 15:29:46

But Charles was guest at her wedding , strange though that he
didn’t escort her down the aisle, her mother’s first husband did ,
surely it must be true it was in Cosmopolitan ?

We all obviously have different standards of proof.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Mar-22 15:33:20

It’s only true if it’s in the Daily Mail.

Anniebach Wed 16-Mar-22 15:40:07

GSM close your eyes and imagine I am twisting your arm , now do tell please

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Mar-22 15:42:26

It’s true Annie, it’s true! Owww!

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Mar-22 15:44:59

Or did you mean my liking for Aussie blokes? Sadly nothing to confess but I do love the accent …. Oww! Leggo!!!

Talking of monarchy, did you see the Duchess of Cambridge at the Commonwealth Service ? She is just too thin …..

I don’t think she is. I could be biased - she’s very much the same as I was at her age (no longer, alas), so to me she looks normal.

Anniebach Wed 16-Mar-22 16:05:01

GSM the accent ? I can only think of Barry Humphries!

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Mar-22 17:45:50

I was thinking more Shane Warne, Annie. (Without the Liz Hurley era botox and highlights but I don't think they affected the accent.)

The Bahamas will absorb the costs of the royal visit including accommodations and meals for the couple and their staff.

Well done the people of Indian Creek. These tours are pointless and self serving, and usually cost local communities a lot. More people should tell them to stay away.

Grany Sat 19-Mar-22 17:40:57

Their addiction to helicopters demonstrates their hypocrisy on climate change. They couldn’t even go without one to visit a sensitive sight in #Belize. Well done to the good people of Indian Creek for standing up to them #AbolishTheMonarchy

nadateturbe Sat 19-Mar-22 19:30:02

Agree. Well done!

@Gary36623569

Let’s be clear, William is patron of Fauna & Flora International, they are in a long running dispute with the villagers of Indian Creek, #Belize over communal land rights that were expunged by the British Crown. FFI have ignored the villagers concerns. #AbolishTheMonarchy
