Where is your happy place?

Seaside. Or in my garden with a nice book.

Anywhere by the sea or our lovely marina just down the road.

Actually I agree with MMG in that I'm fortunate to have many. I tried to respond in the spirit of the opener by mentioning my superlative but there are others that come very close.

Sat around my dining table having a huge meal with our 2 sons, husband, daughter in-law and 2 grandchildren (and the dog lay under the table!). Also, on holiday abroad (preferably Italy) sat in the sunshine having a drink at a pavement cafe just watching the world and his wife go by.

The one I’ve just thought of ( because we were talking about holidays) is when I meet my family at the airport and we’re all going on holiday together. That’s a lovely feeling.
I love being with my very close friends when the conversation and laughs are just flowing.

Conservatory by the sea here in sunny ? north Wales and my traditional Spanish patio in mi Casa in the mountains of Andalusia - both places bring a smile of contentment as I turn the corner coming home?

Oh a boat

My house, my garden, any beautiful countryside especially if it includes water, the library or a bookshop, usually it's Waterstones that's what we have locally, but any bookshop. Loved the one in Alnwick discovered a couple of years ago when we were there, wonderful!

At work, I'm always in a good mood at work

Very lucky Violet. I can't wait to retire.
I feel happy when I am at home on a cold winters night, candle burning and cosy.
I also love collecting my Grandson from School and taking on the way home before he gets on his computer for his allotted screen time.

Sitting with a book and a cup of tea by the beach. Preferably a stony beach, so the sea makes a lovely noise, but I’ll take the local Sandy beach too. Bliss ?

My bed and my place on the sofa in front of the telly and with my knitting.

In a good seat at the theatre watching classical ballet. Alternatively, in bed watching television.

Best one- on my bike, especially on a good cycle track on a warm sunny day.

Cycling with family along the track going through pine forest alongside Loch Lomond where we saw red squirrels was the best ever.

My happy place is right here where i live, my childhood home.

In the kitchen, bathroom, front room, back room, just right here, i am home. X

Anywhere that’s quite, I live with my dh and 5 grandchildren who I love but when I get the rare chance to be alone it feels like heaven.

Lost in music. I get so immersed in the sounds, I'm transported off.

My home with Mr. S. is my happy and safe place.

Happy places

Yesterday snuggled up on the sofa between two grandsons watching a film.

Today sitting in a sunny conservatory watching my sheets billowing the wind.

Also my garden where Spring seems to have sprung.
All day a solitary bee has buzzing around my apricot blossom.

In childhood? no contest - my Grandparent's house or in my grandmothers arms.

I am in my happy place right now. Under the shade of an almond tree with the sound of the waves crashing on the raised reef and beach below.
