The title of my thread is Surprise because that is just what i have had * a wonderful 1 I have to add*

Its from my friend who i used to go to school with and we have been friends ever since.

I told her about my big decision regarding a new MS drug that if i fall into the criteria, i can start this new drug.
So the postman walks up the drive carrying a box. Inside is a beautiful yellow rose ( my mums favourite colour) and a card saying my friend is thinking of me.

I cried because of her kindness to me

I wanted to share this wonderful experience with everyone. Here is a photo of my beautiful rose.

LauraNorderr I was not awre of your loss. I am so very sorry.
It is uplifting to read about all these surprises. Thank you all for posting. My mind has gone horrible blank and cannot dredge up a single surprise..
Oh yes. I received a message on my phone at work one night. A photograph. One large diamond ring on (I assumed correctly) my DD1's finger. It had been a tough shift and this lovely surprise brought a sparkle.

Five minutes ago had an email from a lovely girl I lost touch with years ago. Apparently she had just been reading a poem which made her think of me and she 'took a chance'. I'm thrilled and delighted! Incidentally the poem was 'Dust if you must' and she remembered I didn't!

Another one - dh turning up at the hospital a week after dd1 was born. He was working an 8 hour flight away - I’d come home to have the baby since the local hospital was dire at the time.
Although he hadn’t planned on coming (I was going back after 6 weeks) he turned up with a big bouquet of flowers and a good tan (in winter). I’d had to remove my wedding ring because of slightly swollen fingers, and I dare say (in those days) quite a few people had thought, ‘Hmm, husband working in the Middle East - I’ve heard that before!’

So I was doubly pleased to have him there in person.
