Good Morning from Severnside. Wet again.

I received two lots of news yesterday. One delightful and the other far from but hope all will be well.

I’ve some daffodils out in my garden and the crop of dwarf ones in a tub that I planted for The Mutts mum are looking very pretty outside the kitchen window.

Admin and crafting for me later.

Have a good day all ??

DH doesn’t expect solidarity but I feel a rat if I cook and eat in front of him!

Good morning Mick, morning all from drizzly South Lanarkshire.

What a lovely surprise for you Kim.

Good luck to your DH today Scentia.

My usual Thursday childminding later today. I need to put together a pasta bake to pop into their oven before we head back home.

Have the best day possible.

Keep on forgetting… Ash, all the best with the house mould. The smell is horrible, isn’t it. When I was a girl, my parents used to keep it at bay using a 40w bulb on in all our cupboards.

Morning Mattie Morning Ash!

Urmstongran Thu 03-Mar-22 06:49:49

Here’s Matt.

Sunrise is late here in Malaga at 7:45am. Then it’s like someone has flicked a light switch. Good morning everyone. Our forecast is for a sunny day with 22°C until late afternoon then we have a slight chance of showers.

I think a walk into Arroyo de la Miel would be nice late morning with coffee and toastado con tomate y aceite. We have a favourite little bar there and it’s only a 15 minute stroll up. Other than that, I think we will eat in tonight and I could finish my book club read ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’.

Enjoy Thursday all who can. Hope your husband’s scan goes well grandMattie and glad to hear the damp in your flat has been confirmed Ashcombe it will strengthen your insurance claim. One more sleep Marydoll!! Bet your head is buzzing.

Morning Mick, morning All from a soggy corner of Somerset.

Yesterday seemed very full as I decided to give the kitchen a Spring clean, took ages as I had a cupboard sort as I went along How do cutlery drawers get full of bits? A mystery. We’d settled in the evening when we discovered a stuck washing machine. Had to bail the flipping thing out and then stem the flow of not very clean water to unblock the filter. The floor had an unscheduled wash. All well now.

Early eye test for me, Mr C then has a blood test to check med levels, we need a trip to B&Q snd may even manage to get Mr C whose hair grows like a weed to the barber.

Hope your husband copes with fasting grandmattie, please don’t hide away to eat. I’m sure your husband wouldn't expect fasting solidarity. That sounds a useful, report to have ash, hope all can be sorted.

Take care everyone. Please be sensible Marydoll! Hope Thursday is gentle with us all.

Good Morning from a dry S Hants. How lovely Kim a ?for you yesterday.
We went out for Turkish meze last night, the food was fine, but the restaurant cold, didn’t encourage lingering.
Good job the survey is done Ash now for appropriate mitigation.
Best of luck for your DH gMattie a tough few days.
Similarly yours too Scentia, a new chapter.
Voluntary phones today, I’ll get a couple of walks in, some printing to do and washing.
Enjoy your day with a ? or ??.
Thoughts with poorly people and those just under the weather.

‘Morning all!
Really looking forward to seeing Mary’s wedding outfit.
She has promised that all will be revealed today! smile
Wishing everyone a good day x

Gagagran Thu 03-Mar-22 06:36:35

Good Morning everyone from a dull and damp south coast.7.8c. It rained on and off all day yesterday and DH cancelled his bike ride outing. No option really as all the other riders called it off in view of the rain!

I had a poor sleep in 2 hour slots so feel a bit zonked this morning. No idea why but it seems to happen periodically despite following the same bedtime routine every night.

Spring has definitely sprung here with daffodils out everywhere and tree blossoms beginning to proliferate. It would be nice to see some sunshine too but the rain will be welcomed by growers and farmers so it's good news for them.

Glad your DH is on the mend Scentia. Hope he doesn't go mad at rehab as super-fit men sometimes have to prove there's nothing amiss. I have one of those!

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Good morning from a dawning E Kent. The days are getting appreciably longer! The were signs of sunrise when I got up 30 minutes ago.
Spent half the day, fiddling about with money from the house sale, apportioning it hither and thither. I have to find some way of sending money for the Ukrainian refugees.
DS called yesterday, to cheer his miserable pa. today he is fasting for 8 hours as he has a PET CT scan in the afternoon. Tomorrow, he’s fasting from after breakfast 7ntilmsaturday early afternoon. It makes my own eating problematic as his favourite place is in the kitchen/diner where we spend most of our time. Delicious cooking smells are not what you want when fasting. I hide in the garage and eat cold baked beans from the tin…
Spanish class this morning. Really don’t fancy it - I’ve had enough of Zoom, but we won’t be back in class until the autumn term.
Have a gentle day. Marydoll , are you listening? Carpe diem. ???❤️???☀️?

Good morning all from a damp Torbay.

The damp surveyor's visit was useful and I’m insisting on having a copy of the report, although the management company is paying his fee. He told me that the offending wall is five degrees colder than the others. I’ve put in a claim to my insurance company (contents) for the mildew on the futon mattress.

One of our Toads members gave an interesting talk on The Lost City of Z, the whereabouts of which was explored by a Torquinian by the name of Colonel Percival Fawcett. A film was made about his venture in 2019.

What a lovely surprise to hear from your friend, Kim19! A real boost to your day. Such reunions are a delight as we get older.

Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent today. ✝️ A blessed day to you all. ?????

Scentia Thu 03-Mar-22 06:24:34

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and could be any temperature out there!!
I am up unusually early today as I am taking DH to his first Cardiac Rehab and I am rather excited for some reason!
I should be able to resume Nanna duties next week do my life may feel a little more normal, but at the moment I don’t quite know what is happening from day to day.
Not long until the wedding now Mary ???
Have a lovely day folks and stay safe ❤️

BlueBalou Thu 03-Mar-22 06:22:30

Good morning Michael, it’s drizzling here in north Wiltshire.
I too have noticed buds beginning to show on shrubs and trees, as well as bulb shoots. Roll on Spring!
Apart from dressings change at the surgery I have a plant delivery to open and sort out this morning.
Hope it’s warm in the greenhouse ?

Kim19 Thu 03-Mar-22 06:21:59

Good morning Michael and all who follow. Just lying here perusing my potential day..... Nothing particularly exciting on the horizon but it's amazing what a day can bring. Yesterday I had an email from a lovely acquaintance out of the blue. We kind of drifted apart years ago and she read something which inspired a thought of me then acted on it. Result! We did crazy\lovely verbal catch up and are planning a meet up even though we live at opposite ends of the country. All positive and such a surprise. Hope all of your days have some little highlight and that you recognise it, however small.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , but dry at the moment here in Brackley this morning, today will see me do my usual routine bus trip to Bicester .
What I have also noticed with the signs of spring , some trees are starting to blossom .
Despite the cold air chill we are getting .
I gave my feedback via email to the coach operators as to the trip to York , they replied telling me a week long trip latter this year , plus another next year are in the pipeline , told them that late March /April would be ideal especially when taking in Harrogate .
Take Care,
Mick
