H&B is owned by LetterOne which was founded by Mikhail Fridman and Petr Avens. They have both stepped down. Together they own slightly less than 50 per cent of the group, which means that the company has avoided the sanctions imposed on them as individuals.

Mervyn Davies former Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Business was appointed deputy chair of LetterOne in 2015 and now takes over as chair.

Agree with Germanshepherd. This may make us feel better, but the connection between Putin and what is on the shelves in our shops is remote in the extreme. The wealth owners have vast financial empires and will never even know if people stop buy from H&B or Lush which makes it pointless - the only hit will be on British high streets.

And the people who work in the boycotted shops.
