Inspired by an MN thread, where the poster had gone her whole life thinking she was a Sunday child, because that's what her mother had told her, only to discover she was in actual fact a Monday child.
I just googled my dob and day and I'm Wednesday's child. Full of woe.
That's me stuffed then grin

Monday. I may have been fair of face for a short while in my early twenties, but was not as a child and most assuredly am not now!

I'm a Sunday girl and both my boys are Saturday, one at 1am and one at 3.25 am

I'm a Wednesday's child, which, sadly, is very appropriate.

I know I was born on a Saturday as Mam had been to a pie and peas supper the night before. Poor midwife ?

It was just after midnight on a Sunday. My mum went into labour Saturday evening and my dad was out with his band. They think I held on arriving until they got him to the hospital with few wee drinks in him ?

On a Thursday sometime after 5pm.

I have just discovered I was born on a Friday.

WoodLane7 Tue 08-Mar-22 14:00:57

I’m a Sunday child

Just googled it, and I was born on Monday 'fair of face'.

I'll take that!

I know what day my children were born on. My daughter was a Saturday at 6pm and as the poem she does work hard for her living.
My son was born on a Friday and as the poem said he is loving and giving. Well he was he died in 2007.
I don’t know my birthdate as I am 76 and can’t remember what I had for tea last night ?

Sunday- a lot to live up to ?

homefarm Tue 08-Mar-22 15:57:29

Yes, a Friday

Of the four members of my immediate family, three of us are Thursday's children. I have certainly come a long way from where I started in life. The youngest is a Monday's child and, as for being fair of face, there is no other face I'd rather see.

I didn't know until I could check online calendars as I was adopted so my Mum (the Mum who raised me) didn't know or didn't tell me. I am a Tuesday's child though not sure how graceful or holy I am!

BBbevan Tue 08-Mar-22 16:23:08

Yes Monday.

Saturdays child works hard for a living.
www.thefreedictionary.com › Saturday's+Child
Saturday's child is restless and could get quite frustrated if things take too long to happen, so needs to be encouraged to make targets reachable, and not to make comparisons with what everyone else is achieving, because success, when it comes, will happen because of all he or she is, not despite it.
This is so true for me.

I'm a Wednesday's child but I've always felt quite happy and contented. Someone I know is a right moaner but was born on a Sunday. I've always thought that the 'far to go' description of a Thursday's child meant they would go far in the sense of high achievement.

Polly4t42 Tue 08-Mar-22 17:01:23

My parents were engaged on Whit Sunday, married on Whit Saturday and I was born on Whit Monday. Obviously not in the same year or even the same month. I leave it up to others to say if I am and or was fair of face.

Mummer Tue 08-Mar-22 17:17:50

Thursday and it's not true!!

Bluecat Tue 08-Mar-22 17:19:28

I am a Tuesday child and should be full of grace. There's probably no-one less graceful than me.

chrizzy Tue 08-Mar-22 18:14:54

From being a child i always believed i was born on a wednesday but i have just googled my birth date and it was actually a saturday

tictacnana Tue 08-Mar-22 18:38:53

Sunday. My sisters were at church and Sunday school, the midwife was tipsy , I was breach and Mum delivered me on her own . Those were the days !

Peff68 Tue 08-Mar-22 18:43:41

I’m ‘Friday's child is loving and giving’, I hope that’s accurate like to think I am ?

Musicgirl Tue 08-Mar-22 18:48:32

Another here who is bonny, blithe, good and gay (Sunday) as is my oldest son. My middle son is Saturday’s child - appropriate for him as he has always worked hard for a living. My daughter is Monday’s child and she is definitely fair of face in my unbiased opinion! My husband is Thursday’s child and it is definitely true for him as he grew up on the other side of the world. I have a lovely set of Royal Worcester figurines with a boy and girl for each day of the week based on this old rhyme.
