Oh grandMattie that is such devastating news for you all. It must be so hard right now for you and your family. My heart goes out to you all. xx

GM, I too have no words, what a very sad and upsetting post from you today.
All I can pray for, is that you find the strength to continue to be the wonderful support, that you are to your husband and family and that Mr GM is given as much help as possible to manage his pain.
Remember, you must look after yourself and accept any help you are offered, you are cared for by all of us. ?

I feel that wittering on about my lovely day at the chilly coast yesterday, would now be totally inappropriate. I am counting my blessings.

I'm off to Mass this morning and will light candles for you, your family and all on here who have unbearable burdens.

Please, please, don’t stop waffling. It is really lovely to get good news or just finding out about your lives!

Good morning from a very wet Torbay. ?

grandMattie: my heart goes out to you with all that life is throwing at you and your family. No words can express how deeply sorry we both feel for this to happen to you, especially with your generosity of spirit towards everyone. Caring thoughts and prayers for continuing strength for you and your DH.

Yesterday, DH had a haircut from a barber within walking distance of home and it was only £10, including a tip! No queue and the young chap has done a very good job. Previously, DH had gone to my hairdresser or a barber in the centre of Torquay who charged twice as much.

Tonight, we are both on Front of House duties for the farce that is enjoying a successful run this week: Funny Money by Ray Cooney. DH is the manager and I’m one of the stewards. We are trialling a new venture with a couple of sixth form students as apprentice stewards, which I’m pleased to see.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend, everyone! ??????

A beautiful sun rise this morning in Oxfordshire.
grandMattie there are no words that I can offer, just to say I'm so sorry. flowers
To waffle on about my day would be insensitive, so I'm not going to say anymore.
I hope you all find some sunshine and comfort today.

Good Morning everyone from an overcast south coast. 9c and set for wind and rain today.

GM Your annus horribilis continues and your fortitude and kindness to so many others deserves so much more than this awful news. You will get a lot of support from this lovely thread and you know that you already have mine, my dear friend. flowers

A busy day for me yesterday with a WI meeting in the afternoon which was a real treat with an excellent speaker and delicious cake. Nothing on the agenda for today but thoughts will be with all those suffering with health or anxiety or any other tribulations.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Such very sad news for you both, I’m lost for words, but send my love and will be thinking of you ?.

Oh grandMattie, I’m so sorry ?

Jaxjacky Fri 11-Mar-22 06:26:09

Morning Mick I envy you your market and Blue it’ll be worth it, especially with other price rises.
S Hants is cloudy, windy with rain due later. Busy day on the voluntary phone yesterday, lifts to sort today and Tesco delivery later.
May those who are poorly improve today and those sad find a little cheer ??.

Good morning from a pale pink skied E Kent. The days are getting longer, the sun warmer!
We saw the oncologist on Tuesday, who said DH has a large lump in the pelvic floor which is squashing his bowel, hence the pain, what floored us was the report that there wipers a number of lesions in the lungs, including a very large one. The prognosis 12-24 months at the outside.
As the opioids are making him very sick, I contacted the hospice, via the GP, so now we are in the system. Yesterday was hectic with calls to and from the GP, the hospice, district nurse, etc.
Had a bad night as I was hyperaware of every cough and hiccup.
DH is serene about everything though terribly sad for his remaining two children and me. I’ll survive, I’m strong and we have had 19 happy years since DH was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.
Today going to be another round of calls and visits.
Carpe diem my dear friends. ????❤️❤️

Good morning! It’s dry here in north Wiltshire too.
Today is day 2 of the mess and muddle from having a wood burner installed- yesterday was unbelievably dusty and noisy while they opened up the fireplace ? At one point DDog and I retreated to the bedroom, that’s over the living room, but it was only marginally less noisy. Thank goodness everything was covered in dust sheets!
It should be quieter today apparently ??
I made a fish pie yesterday, plenty for lunch today and probably tomorrow too unless I put some in the freezer if I can find space.
I will make apple cake this morning and probably do a bit of pottering in the garden.
Hope everyone has a peaceful day ?
