Today , I will hopefully go via Buckingham to Bicester and return direct to watch cycling on TV this afternoon .
I had a fish & chip takeaway yesterday lunch, and the price as leaped by 40p seems to average 20p every 2 weeks increase.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dull dry Hull.
Had lovely baby snuggles yesterday for a full two hours while mummy slept. Divine.

grandMattie it sounds like you have a lot of support for yourself and DH. When my stepfather was going through the same the McMillan nurses took all the worry off my mums shoulders. You are both in our thoughts.

LauraNorderr so very sorry you’ve lost your lovely little sister. I have 3 younger sisters I would be devastated if anything happened to them I need to appreciate them more. A big bunch of ? for you.

Grandmadinosaur take care today and have a quieter day. Worrying how you felt last night.

Today we are going into town to buy DD a gift from us for having the baby. I think a LUSH Shop is in order buying all her favourites. Also need to buy DH a birthday gift it was his birthday on the first and he didn’t know what he’d like but he’s thinking now a smart jacket. Tonight we are in Driffield visiting friends for a drink and a takeaway. I’ve got the driving job so no wine for me.
Take care everyone and hope Saturday brings moments of joy?

Gingster Sat 12-Mar-22 08:03:07

Good morning all and it’s a lovely start to the day.
Little gd slept with me last night and we were warm and cosy snuggled up together. I kept thinking if the poor refugees who are homeless ! ?

Breakfast soon and then ballet class and singing group. We’ll then scoop her mum up and bring her back for lunch. I hope she’s feeling ok after her infusion last evening. Her appointment was at 4 o’clock and she didn’t have the procedure until 6.30, so a lot of hanging about in a not very nice environment.

Maw - poor Rosie. She will be wary of other dogs now, as is my little pooch. She’s been leapt upon by others and avoids them if she can. ?. Never been bitten though! Hope her wounds heal quickly.

LauraNorder - a sad day for you yesterday. ?

GG - hope you get to love your tv. I hate new things! ?

Gentle days for you all ! ???

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow.

GM, that was indeed a busy day yesterday. I'm pleased to hear how much support, you are receiving and how quickly. The DNAR situation is something which I found very difficult to deal with, I was quite shocked, when my consultant broached it with me at the beginning of the pandemic. Even more difficult to broach it with MrMD. It causes so many emotions to run riot in your brain.
I hope the new medication, will improve your husband's pain relief and make the pain more bearable.

Much to our delight, our wee Dollie is coming for her first sleepover, since I started shielding two years ago. She packed her bags yesterday on arriving home from school and has issued a forward plan of activities!.
Her mum isn't too well just now, so we are trying to support her as best we can. We are quite concerned about her.
I'm struggling a wee bit at the moment, so Dollie is just the tonic I need!

Maw, I hope poor Rosie improves quickly, what a shock for you to come home to.

Have the best day you can and keeping the prayers going for all who need them.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and cloudy but it looks much less windy
Such a sad situation but pleased you and your DH are getting some help and support GM
Today I’m taking DGD to her dance class whilst DGS plays a round of crazy golf with grandad. We’ll then meet up with DD2 for lunch in town somewhere.
Poor Rosie Maw I hope she fully recovers soon
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning, all, from Torbay where the sun is shining but not certain it will last all day.

We are late waking, having been late to bed following a convivial evening at the theatre bar. A fast moving, suitably silly, farce was on stage, much appreciated by the audience.

It sounds like you are having excellent support from the hospice, grandMattie, and, your appreciation of that shines through, despite the sadness you carry in your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We are attending the monthly coffee morning at church today, partly because we enjoy supporting it but also because my priest will happily authorise DH's existence for his pension provider!

I hope the weekend brings happiness to you all. ??????

Good morning everyone from a very sunny Malaga. About time too. Yesterday was chilly and then it chucked it down from around 4pm. Snap! dustyangel. We didn’t go anywhere. I bought a new novel on my Kindle ‘Radium Girls’ which a book club member recommended to me last time we met and I’m hooked already.
#lazygran

grandMattie you were my very first thought on waking.
Maw your poor Rosie dog that looks a nasty wound.

Well we will go out today for a wander. I think a stroll into Torremolinos might be a good idea as it takes us over an hour. We could get the Renfe train back - it’s only 2 stops!

Enjoy Saturday all who can. x

Good morning from S Hants, there is a weak sun shining after yesterdays rain. I’m pleased you have excellent support gMattie hopefully the adjusted meds will provide relief.
Like you Gaga today is newspaper day, keeps me occupied for a while. Rugby this afternoon with MrJ supporting Ireland, me England, we won’t fall out.
Grandson has now got Covid, he’d escaped thus far, inevitable really, just a slight cough.
I hope yesterday went well for your daughter Gingster.
Enjoy your Saturday all ??

?*Laura*. What a lovely tribute to your beloved sister.

Grandmadinosaur Sat 12-Mar-22 07:42:21

Good morning from Palma. It is a grey looking sky we have woken up to. Temps have been about 16-18 quite pleasant to ones at home.
Yesterday I got my shoes. One pair an ox blood red shade. They didn’t have the tan I’d wanted in my size. They are a Mary Jane style. The other a trainer style in a metallic bronze. I wore the trainer ones in the afternoon and evening and were so comfy. I will take a photo of them to share!
Had a lovely massage in the afternoon. Then a nice meal sat outside on the Born.
We went for a walk after it was slightly uphill where I had a funny turn. My lockdown flab is affecting me I think as I was quite breathless. Came back to our room and just watched TV . Still feel a bit strange this morning.

I think an easy day today. DH will be going to watch football over lunchtime. I need to get a couple of bits for presents for the family. I bought GD a lovely outfit in C&A yesterday. I also got her one for Easter with bunnies on as she’s too young for an egg.

Thoughts to GM ?
Hope baby is doing well Shazza

Take care everyone.

Just dropping in to wish everyone a good morning from the Black country.
Tablet needs charging and full English is calling, will catch up later.
Friends coming this evening and we will go to the club.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Georgesgran Sat 12-Mar-22 07:40:24

Good morning from Durham. Looks a bit grey and miserable as yet. So sorry to read GM’s news yesterday - I know the shock they will be going through, but the plan comes together, it really helps. Our GP was brilliant.
An early birthday treat today as both DDs and DGSs are taking me out to lunch - I predict Bedlam!
Hope Rosie gets over her ordeal soon - lots of love (and treats).
Have a good weekend.

LauraNorderr Sat 12-Mar-22 07:39:14

Good morning Mick and all from quiet and wet Anglesey.
My little sister who used to extort money from Orlin to leave us alone when we tried to snuggle up on the sofa when my mother was absent on a Monday evening, my little sister who always had scabby knees because her body went faster than her little legs and she’d invariably end up sprawled on the pavement, grew up to be a wonderful and highly respected head teacher, a mum and friend, sadly I said my final goodbye to her at her funeral yesterday.
If you’ve got a little sister, pick up the phone and have a chat.
I’m so sorry to hear that things are not going well for Mr grandMattie and hope that his pain can be managed.
Sorry to hear about Rosie, Maw. What a shock.
Wishing you all a peaceful weekend and a few ?.

mumofmadboys Sat 12-Mar-22 07:38:50

Sending love and prayers Grandmattie .
Dusty angel-you don't need a lawyer to set up a DNAR form. As long as your GP or hospital doctor and the patient ( if well enough to consent) and hopefully the nearest relatives are in agreement it should be straightforward.

Serendipity22 Sat 12-Mar-22 07:30:58

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Yorkshire. Nevermind, at least its not snowing. I woke through the night AGAIN to reach out, grab my phone and read the latest in Ukrainian.

This am we have a relative coming to put 3 new outside lights up at the front of the house, the upside-down lights.

My daughter and family have gone to London this morning with all the crew ( family ) in fact the coach leaves Leeds in 5 minutes. When my son and daughter were younger, we always went to London on day trips, flippin heck walked MILES and MILES.

I want to buy a new rug today , I'm ashamed of the present 1, mind you it is cream !

Enjoy your day everyone....smilesmilesmile

Morning Mick and all

I hope your DH will feel more comfortable on his new medications grandMattie

Mawthemerrier poor Rosie

Not sure what the weather is like, as I am too comfy to get up and open the curtains. No plans today, hopefully I will get the hang of our new TV and it’s pucks connected to our other sets . Eldest AC persuaded DH to get Sky Glass (no box or satellite dish needed it works off of wi-if) so far I am not a fan.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️?
