Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here with signs of its been raining overnight heer in brackley .
My usual mode for the day , later a bus to Bicester for coffee and a shop , before returning home , and then have a afternoon snooze for around an hour , before settling down for the day.
Take Care,
Mick

Lovely to hear that you are able to do these things that we all take for granted Madeleine45 I’m sure it will make you feel much better. I hope your son and DIL make a quick recovery too.

What great news madeleine45 and a beautifully written description of your transformation. Sorry to hear your family have Covid - several of my family had it recently but all recovered now.
Gmattie glad your DH’s sickness has been relieved.
Newquay hope things improve for your DH men, eh!

Late Happy Birthday to Stilllearning ?

Just wanted to share good news with you all. It doesnt sound much but I have now been allowed to have oral medication, and have no cannulas or bandages in place and can stay at home. Leg still very painful etc but oh the pleasure in being able to have a proper shower and wash my hair and feel clean at least. To be able to turn over in bed without causing problems etc. It is lovely and sunny and I am now going to go into town as am allowed to drive ok and they have rung to say that the NGS yellow garden book I ordered is ready to collect. To be able to look forward to seeing some lovely gardens and to walk outside. Not all is good of course and sadly my son and daughter in law have both got covid and so am hoping they will be ok, they have had their jabs so hope for the best but I feel that my news has not been very cheerful recently and it is good to feel happy about simple things isnt it? I hope everyones afternoon improves for them all

Late catch up, but Happy Birthday Silllearning ???

Grannmarie Tue 15-Mar-22 12:15:03

Good afternoon from cloudy North Lanarkshire, but it's brightening up now. I'm on the train for my first meet up with the Glasgow Grans, I'm so looking forward to it!

Thinking of all with worries, illness or sorrow, take care.??

annlamon04 Tue 15-Mar-22 11:51:35

Good morning everyone from a dull but dry central Scotland. Been to the shop, and picked the chicken bones to make a nice pot of soup with rice and leeks. Just like my gran used to make. Might do some sewing later.Have a good day all. Hope the Glasgow grand had a good natter .

Good morning from coastal West Sussex. Lovely sunshine when I went for a haircut at 9 am but cloudy now.

Trying to decide if it’s worth changing to go and do a stint at the allotment before Lent study group after lunch?

Sorry to hear of so many here with health worries for family members and no doubt some who don’t feel able to share on a public forum have similar. I pray for strength and hope for you all.

I will keep an ear open for news reports from Glasgow about disturbance of the peace ?. Hope a lovely time is had by all.

Feelingmyage55 Tue 15-Mar-22 10:53:47

Good morning from a breezy but mild north of Scotland.
Had a few ups and downs here but back posting. Going to spend some time in the garden.
Special thoughts to those who have tribulations with their own health and those in their family.
I’ve a lovely line of washing outside which cheers me up and off to have a cup of tea with a neighbour.
I’ll be looking for a report on the Glasgow meet-up. Have fun ladies.

Good morning Mick and everybody. Sunshine again in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 9°C.

I’m off to the hospital this afternoon, have made sure I have everything I need in my bag. I hope I won’t have to wait too long but I know they’re very busy just now.

I’m glad yesterday was a better day for you Grandmattie. Fingers crossed life will be easier for you and your husband now.

Hope all the Glasgow Grans have a wonderful time, I wonder if Glasgow knows what’s about to hit it grin. I won’t bother telling you to behave or go easy Marydoll, but I will say enjoy yourselves,

For all with health worries, their own or family, I hope there is better news soon. flowers

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

LauraNorderr Tue 15-Mar-22 10:40:42

Goood morning from a dulling but dry Dunblane. Not much happening today may have a walk later. Hope all the Glasgow grans have a good blether! Would be lovely to see a picture. I don’t feel I have been posting for long enough to join you but maybe another time as not too far from here to Glasgow. cupcake cafe

Good morning from a lovely dry and still Isle of Anglesey.
Very happy birthday Stillearning, hope it’s a super duper day for you.
Glad you and your husband are on the mend Pittcity
Special thoughts as always for mums of not so well daughters.
I had a lovely day yesterday when my sister’s three children came all the way to Anglesey to see us and have a good old chat about their mum and lots of laughs about our childhood. The eldest two are off back to Australia and NZ respectively at the end of the week.
Have a good day all of you ???

Auntieflo Tue 15-Mar-22 09:55:45

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
Grandmattie, so nice to hear that you sound a lot more upbeat this morning, and that your DH has received the medication that he needed to be comfortable.
Sounds as though there is going to be a great Meet Up in Glasgow today, enjoy it all of you, but make sure that Marydoll behaves herself, if she can. We need a novella tomorrow.
I have sore back and hips today, so a gentle day ahead.
Have a good day one and all.

luluaugust Tue 15-Mar-22 09:51:52

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. Drive out and light lunch for us today, make the most of a bit of sun.
Must drop cake and magazines off to DD2 in bed with Covid, fingers crossed her DH and daughter don't get it.
Best wishes to all, a meet up sounds fun but not sure I can get to Glasgow on time wine

gillgran Tue 15-Mar-22 09:47:13

Good Morning from a bright, dry N.,Cambs., (after rain overnight).

Birthday wishes for you Stilllearning, (I'm still wondering if you are "Still learning", or "Still 1 earning", !!smile)
Enjoy your meet up, sounds like a good few going.

It seems as if Covid numbers are on the increase again, especially here in East Anglia. My DH & I are the only ones in our family not to have had it, so far.......

Thoughts for all who are unwell, & for those caring for their loved ones.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday I woke up thinking about a tree I'd ordered. Soon after breakfast there it was on the doorstep! It was bareroot so I thought I'd better get on and plant it. This required serious brain work...it was to go equidistant from the sides of the lawn but I plan to widen one of the borders so that complicated my arithmetic. Then I needed to mark out a perfect circle and finally dig a big hole. The mattock was required as in the back garden, for I had to excavate heavy stony clay. It all beats doing housework though! Whilst I'm doing this, a neighbour up the road is having the front garden completely paved over. There are very few actual gardeners around here and it was the same on my last estate.
Today is catch up day with the housework and laundry.

I'm glad to hear things are improving for your DH grandMattie and that you are getting good support.

Have a good day everyone especially in Glasgow!

ShazzaKanazza Tue 15-Mar-22 09:31:53

Happy birthday Stilllearning. Have a great day and enjoy your meet up.

Stilllearning Tue 15-Mar-22 09:19:18

A later good morning from me today having survived a riotous wake up and chaotic breakfast with two overexcited grandchildren because it’s my birthday!
They are now off to school and I can start to get ready for our Glesca meet up! So looking forward to meeting everyone ‘in real life’ as it were.

As always, sending love and support to all of our group who need it ???

Newquay Tue 15-Mar-22 08:54:24

Good morning from Staffs. Sun is trying to put his hat on. I mowed back lawns yesterday.
Expecting delivery of DH’s catheter supplies this morning. Hoping we can get appointment at nearby “ambulatory “ clinic to show us what to do. Still awaiting fast track urologist appointment. Appointment has arrived for neurologist Friday week for EEG.
DH moods up and down-he hadn’t heard the phrase “it’s ok not to be ok” bless him.
Thinking and praying for all others with DH and DD health problems.

harrigran Tue 15-Mar-22 08:48:13

Good morning from a dry and fairly bright NE.
Spent all day sorting paperwork again and got nothing g else done.
Talked to SIL, he says he can not drive for at least another six weeks but the good news is he will be getting his staples out on Saturday.
Well done GM, you have proper care for your DH, you achieved what we were unable to access.
Have a good meet up in Glasgow.

Anniebach Tue 15-Mar-22 08:41:43
