Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here with signs of its been raining overnight heer in brackley .
My usual mode for the day , later a bus to Bicester for coffee and a shop , before returning home , and then have a afternoon snooze for around an hour , before settling down for the day.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all who follow on.

I’m an early bird today, I must be excited about our Glasgow Grans’ meet up. grin

I’m sorry to hear about all of you whose daughters who are ill at the moment, it’s so difficult to see our loved ones in pain. Thinking of you Kittylester , Chrissielou and Gingster. I’m sure I’ve missed someone so I do apologise.

Wishing everyone the best day possible and I’ll see some of you this afternoon. wink

grandMattie Tue 15-Mar-22 06:26:32

Good morning from EKent. It is broad daylight and promises to be a sunny day, which will cheer DH enormously.
We had a better day yesterday; calls and visits from the charming district nurse, the lovely hospice doctor, etc., and between them they have managed to settle the appalling nausea and sickness that he had on Sunday, sadly caused by the morphine for his pain.
Once, that is settled, he will be able to live more or less normally - not drive obviously as he is rather spaced out.
So today will be more normal. ?. I can’t praise the hospice and district nurses too highly; their kindness, concern and support are second to none.
Take care, dear friends, Carpe diem. ?????

MawtheMerrier Tue 15-Mar-22 06:36:28

Good morning from N Bucks, where, like Northants, we seem to have had rain in the night.
Being taken out to lunch by a friend for Sunday’s birthday which will be nice and hopefully make up for the planned Doppler scan on my legs/ankles later this afternoon. ?
With especial thoughts for those with health issues in the family - we would always rather have something ourselves rather than our children wouldn’t we?
I’m glad things seem to be settling down a bit GrandMattie and hope that the right balance can be found to keep your DH comfortable.
Wishing you all a pleasant day -and Glesca Grans…mind ye behave yersels!

Good Morning everyone from a clear and bright south coast 4.0c.

Funny how things keep cropping up when I think I have an empty. The window cleaner has texted to say he is coming today and DH had a reminder that he has a dental check up this morning. Nothing in the great scheme of things but reminds me that AOB has to keep being on the agenda.

Hope the Glasgow Grans' meetup is a great success and you all have a lovely day. Photos would be nice, to put faces to names!

Mattie you sound a bit less fraught this morning after the help you got yesterday. That's a big relief for you and your DH I am sure, and might allow you some rest. Thinking of you both. flowers

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

ShazzaKanazza Tue 15-Mar-22 06:58:48

Good morning Mick and everyone from a frosty but bright Hull.
Pleased your DH is a little more comfortable grandMattie we were all so worried yesterday. ?

Enjoy your meet up Glasgow grans.

Today it’s my fortnightly shop and visit for my uncle in Bridlington. I spoke to him yesterday and told him my new DGDs name is Bea and he said well that’s a stupid name? he does have his challenges or he is a challenge not sure which.
Out with DH tonight for a steak meal and wine we got off groupon to the Hilton. We never go out out during the week so looking forward to it and I usually need a wine after visiting uncle.
Have a lovely day everyone and hope Tuesday brings moments of joy. ?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Mar-22 07:09:19

Good morning all from sunny Black country, frost overnight but looks like it will be another nice day.
Nothing planned again just take each day as it comes like to surprise myself.

Good morning all, we have a beautiful red sky here in Glasgow.

GM, glad you both had a slightly better day yesterday, Hopefully things will settle down a bit for Mr GM, now that there has been some intervention.

I have been up since the crack of dawn, not caused by the excitement of the Glesca Grannies meet up, but by the fact that I forgot to switch on the breadmaker last night, to leave DH some tasty bread for his lunch and the fact that my car is being picked up at 7.30am, for its MOT.
I'm a bit concerned about the MOT, the has an extremely low mileage, but due to me being unable to drive much, some problems have arisen, through underuse. ?

I lit some candles yesterday for all the poorly DDs and DILs,. Kitty, I was so sorry to read your news yesterday. ?

Good luck for your scan, Maw, my BIL, frequently had that type of scan.

Have a pleasant day, whatever your plans, I expect to have an extremely pleasant one, but do not plan to behave myself, Maw! ?

Ashcombe Tue 15-Mar-22 07:16:16

Good morning, everyone, from a fine Torbay with a hint of sunshine to follow.

It must be a relief to have others supporting you, grandMattie, in the care of your DH and it’s good to hear how kind they are being. Your unfailing positivity in the face of suffering is an example to us all. Please take care of yourself. ?

My thoughts and prayers are with others with illness in their families and I hope the new day brings respite from their pain, be it mental or physical.

Yesterday, I heard of more Covid cases within our social circle locally, which is concerning, although none seem seriously ill, having been triple vaccinated. I believe notification of the next booster vaccination is imminent for the oldest folk.

Take care, everyone. ??????

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry with light grey cloudy. Yesterday was lovely and sunny and I enjoyed pottering in the garden
Thank goodness things seemed to have settled down a bit GM
I’ll be off out soon to get the train down to Glasgow for our meet up, I’m really looking forward to it so I’d best get a move on!
That’s a lovely name for your new DGD Shazza
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?

Grandmabatty Tue 15-Mar-22 07:19:32

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and cloudy. I'm glad things have settled a bit for your dh grandmattie. I'm looking forward to meeting the Glasgow Grans today. I'm sure it will be fun. Have a good day all.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 15-Mar-22 07:25:52

Can’t wait to hear about the Glasgow grans shenanigans tomorrow.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 15-Mar-22 07:29:59

Good morning all from sunny East Yorkshire.
We had a stress free return yesterday so back home now in normal routine. The bed in our room away was a fabulous Queen size so sleeping back in ours last night it seemed as if we were sleeping in a single bed!
I’m going to coffee morning today plus before and after I will tackle the laundry mountain. Worst part of holidays isn’t it?
GS will be here after school. We went to see them last night and he seemed pleased to see us. The poor baby GD is suffering with a cold. She also has to have her next lot of injections today.
Wishing all the Grans at the meet today a fab time. Lots of chat and fun in store will be had I am sure.

Good to hear about a better day for your dear DH GM you are an inspiration how you deal with what life throws at you.

Take care everyone.

TopsyIrene06 Tue 15-Mar-22 07:30:34

Dull and blowy here in the southside of Glasgow today but a brightness is on the horizon. It is indeed a treat for me to be given the chance to meet some lovely ladies this lunchtime. Must make sure I clean my teeth.
Thoughts go out to the families of all who are having such a hard time of it. Not easy for you.

kittylester Tue 15-Mar-22 07:31:14

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

Thank you all for your kind wishes for DD1. She has an appointment on Friday for definitive diagnosis and treatment plan.

Today, I have to iron and make a cake before I go out for lunch with 3 friends - our WhatsApp group is called Witness Women as we met while volunteering for the Witness Service at the local court.

Sending love to all with worries.

Aldom Tue 15-Mar-22 07:34:32

Kittylester my thoughts are with you. Hoping for the best for your daughter. Such a worrying time for you and your family. flowers

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 15-Mar-22 07:42:48

Grandmattie.

We are doing pencil work today at my art club, that should be something to get my teeth into!
Hope Rosie’s wound are healing Maw
Have the best day you can folks

Urmstongran Tue 15-Mar-22 07:44:24

Matt’s back! ?

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s dry but we do have rain forecast later. Ah well, I’ll be wet inside as well as out as my stepfather would say - it’s Tuesday = LWW afternoon. Yay! ??

I’ve booked an appointment for highlights in the salon downstairs at 11am. I have root regrow that seriously needs attention as I last had my colours done in November. It won’t be as expensive out here.

We’ve been invited to eat with our Bolton friends in their apartment after LWW. She insisted - nice!

Enjoy Tuesday all who can and I’m thinking of those with health worries, anxiety is very draining. x

Nannytopsy Tue 15-Mar-22 07:46:15

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It seems like ages since I was here - it’s been a busy few days but I gather I have missed a lot of important news.
Kitty & grandMattie , I send my very biggest hugs to you and your loved ones.
I do hope there isn’t any disturbance in Glasgow at lunchtime! Enjoy yourselves ladies! I fondly remember a meet-up in Market Harborough a few years ago.
Today is seed sowing - my lovely DH made me a soil firming thing like Monty uses, so no excuses now!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Mar-22 07:46:49

Good morning all from a frosty, sunny S Hants. Better news from you grandMattie I’m pleased to hear it.
My drive yesterday took me out of the house for three hours, so jobs not done move to today. I’ve just booked my Tesco delivery slot for Easter, less painful that the Christmas queuing. My best wishes to those struggling, especially those with family members who are poorly, it’s so hard.
Wishing you the best day ??

Pittcity Tue 15-Mar-22 07:49:13

Good morning from a chilly but brightening Colchester. DH and I are still under the weather and will just potter again today. He has done his 10 days and so will go out for supplies. We are no longer contagious but don't feel like facing the world yet as the virus has really knocked the stuffing out of us.
Love to all ?x

BlueSapphire Tue 15-Mar-22 07:50:09

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Northampton, but like Mick and Maw, we have had rain overnight, 6°C outside at the moment. Should be set fine for our health walk this afternoon.

Spent a couple of hours in the garden yesterday afternoon, giving the flamingo willow a good haircut. The cats came outside with me to supervise, but soon got fed up, and demanded to be let back indoors. Will gradually work my way round all the borders, shrub by shrub; then it's not too daunting a task, doing one or two every day.

Am expecting DS round this morning to pick up a mini table-top fridge for elder DGD; she has been wanting one for her bedroom and I suddenly realised that I had this one, bought when I had an electrical failure downstairs and only the upstairs sockets were working. He has also volunteered to do any little jobs, so will see if there's anything he can take to the tip for me.

Sad news yesterday from DD; her father-in-law in Northern Ireland passed away peacefully yesterday in hospital, where he had been since a stroke before Christmas. Luckily her DH had.flown over last week to be with his family, and also another brother and his wife had come over from Canada, so all the family were with him. The funeral is this Thursday, so DD is flying over tomorrow.

Thoughts to all grans with poorly daughters flowersflowersflowers a worrying time.for you.

Glad that your DH is getting the treatment he needs, grandMattie.

A chilli to make for dinner tonight when I get back from my walk.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Gingster Tue 15-Mar-22 08:23:02

Enjoy the sun everyone! ???.
