Look at this beauty

smile

I love that it has a mortgage calculator. Only 42k a month grin

These are some pretty impressive properties, but I don't think I could live in any of them. The are not very homely or welcoming.

And I've definitely not got enough furniture for most of them. I would have to be very minimalist, placing one item of my furniture in each room grin

Chewbacca Mon 21-Mar-22 10:49:21

I’m sure the interior designer who did Chew’s place could liven it up a bit.?

It could do with "something" being done to put some life in it; that kitchen looks like a mortuary.

JaneJudge Mon 21-Mar-22 10:30:16

I like the bar grin

This made me laugh

"About England
England is a country animated by history and heritage. It is at once pastoral and cosmopolitan, retiring and pioneering. It is the birthplace of big ideas in literature, music and architecture. Though a small nation, it has abundant resources and wields extraordinary influence in global affairs. As a powerhouse of finance and politics, it is a country that has long enjoyed an elevated position on the world stage."

Check out the wavy bath - and the circular whirlpool jacuzzi bath - and is that a lap dancing pole in the kitchen?

Wonder who lived in that house??? Dita Von Teese?

TillyTrotter Mon 21-Mar-22 10:20:09

The Kensington one certainly has the postcode to warrant a ridiculous price, but I like the outside of it better than in.
Too much dark wood and it definitely doesn’t look as if it is lived in except for perhaps a few weekends of the year.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 21-Mar-22 09:55:57

It doesn’t look as if anyone lives there. Like a posh hotel. Perhaps an oligarch’s little pied a terre. I’m sure the interior designer who did Chew’s place could liven it up a bit.?

I like the light fittings in the one bedroom but what a clinical house. WHY if you don't have to clean it yourself have such a hospitalised atmosphere?

I think this is one of the most expensive houses. 54 million-ish.

Close to local amenities. Bus and train amenities on your doorstep.

I'll think about it.

FannyCornforth Mon 21-Mar-22 08:27:52

Chewbaccas house is perfect for the setting of a remake of Clockwork Orange

JaneJudge Mon 21-Mar-22 08:06:13

or Austin Powers...I am rather undecided

JaneJudge Mon 21-Mar-22 08:05:55

ewww @ that house. It is like something out of a horror film!

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 20-Mar-22 17:37:31

That's exactly what I thought Chew. Seems there is a child living there (or someone with a big teddy bear and plastic ducks fetish). Imagine all the sticky fingerprints everywhere on all the stainless steel and black gloss. Strange it's already been reduced, I would have thought someone would have snapped it up! (Not me though.)

Chewbacca Sun 20-Mar-22 17:25:38

Imagine cleaning the lime scale off square glass baths!

ixion Sun 20-Mar-22 17:23:38

ixion

And that's a bath (picture 10)??

And you have to get in avoiding via the taps in the middle of the side??

Sorry, picture 8 was whatI meant.

Chewbacca Sun 20-Mar-22 17:17:20

I did kittylester! grin I'm still trying to figure out what picture 13 is all about; is that a glass table in the middle? Or a glass ceiling/floor? confused

kittylester Sun 20-Mar-22 17:13:46

Chewbacca

This is £11 million plus and a long way off being homely. The industrial metal gantries in the ceilings are a little off putting too.

That is truly hideous! Did you spot the child's bed?

And the boot room!

JaneJudge Sun 20-Mar-22 14:12:17

I really like this one

www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/121110251#/?channel=RES_BUY

esp the utility room blush

Helen657 Sun 20-Mar-22 12:06:04

TillyTrotter - that’s gorgeous, would be on my “when I win the lottery” list if it were closer to family!

MissAdventure Sun 20-Mar-22 12:03:49

I'd love to spend a day viewing some of these properties in person. smile
Some are just glorious!
Also, I've realised how much I could get for the same kind of price as my flat.

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 20-Mar-22 11:55:55

You certainly get a lot for your money. Wonderful. And the staff you’d need to look after it all could live in the cottages. Are you putting an offer in Jane??

JaneJudge Sun 20-Mar-22 10:59:20

This one is a bargain

I love that one in Droitwich smile but we would have to liven up the decor a bit
