Look at this beauty

smile

I love that it has a mortgage calculator. Only 42k a month grin

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 10:42:28

A bargain! I wonder if people in the market for something like that trawl Rightmove??

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Mar-22 10:45:31

And it has sheeps!
Come on Jane, if we pool our resources… ?
And I’ve just had a positive experience with the DWP, so things are looking up.
And I’ve done the Euromillions for tonight…

Seriously, though, why do you do that to yourself?
I can’t bear it. I get sooo jealous!

eazybee Fri 18-Mar-22 10:46:05

A very beautiful setting and a lovely house, but better off as a hotel I think, then more people could enjoy it.

Gelleh Fri 18-Mar-22 10:52:34

Nice one JJ!

Hexton is an idyllic traditional rural village which offers that rare combination of unspoilt English charm, whilst being very accessible to the popular Hertfordshire towns of Hitchin, Harpenden and St Albans as well as London, airports
It's on the flight path into Luton! Though it has probably been very peaceful of late!

JaneJudge Fri 18-Mar-22 10:56:00

I've discounted it. Have you seen how far you have to walk to the tennis court? and I was after something with a bigger kitchen

Blossoming Fri 18-Mar-22 11:02:44

Did it belong to an oligarch? I think there will be quite a few of these coming on the market soon.

DillytheGardener Fri 18-Mar-22 11:04:13

Is the pool heated Jane? I can’t have cold water.

LauraNorderr Fri 18-Mar-22 11:05:12

I would Jane but it’s too far from the station. One hates to get the RR out just for five miles.

Elegran Fri 18-Mar-22 11:23:16

But there are six houses and cottages and two integral flats, plus planning permission to create two further residential units, so if eleven of us got together that would be less than a million each, and the income from those four office units in the (beautiful and doubtless high quality) converted stable block providing let income would offset that quite a bit . . . .

What are we waiting for?

mumofmadboys Fri 18-Mar-22 11:24:33

Looks a nice little pad!

Elegran Fri 18-Mar-22 11:28:05

I love the reception entrance hall. You could sweep down those stairs in your ball gown, on the arm of Mr Darcy, or lean over the balcony to watch the distinguished visitors arrive.

sparkly1000 Fri 18-Mar-22 11:43:27

But they haven’t got a telly!

Squiffy Fri 18-Mar-22 12:37:38

We could ask GNHQ to buy it so that we could stay there for R and R, plus some pampering sessions? Not sure how long the waiting list might be though, or how it would be decided as to who is most worthy of staying there … ?

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 18-Mar-22 12:37:39

Sadly it’s £10mill for Lot 1.

I thought it sounded cheap.

You would have to buy all of the lots to keep out the riffraff.

Blossoming Fri 18-Mar-22 13:18:46

I suspect I am the riffraff Oops grin

kittylester Fri 18-Mar-22 13:43:16

Oh please buy it - we are desperate to downsize!

Riverwalk Fri 18-Mar-22 13:58:38

It's almost halved in price since 2018 when it was on the market for £19 million!

Bargain

Oldwoman70 Fri 18-Mar-22 14:26:40

Hang on, I'll just check down the back of the sofa!

JaneJudge Fri 18-Mar-22 14:30:03

It looks distinctly emptier now confused

Riverwalk it is 10 million for Lot 1, 9million for the other Lots combined

nandad Fri 18-Mar-22 15:02:27

Wonder if they’ll be leaving the curtains.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 18-Mar-22 15:07:22

I’m always suspicious when they don’t show the bathrooms. Bound to need refitting. Wonder what it costs to heat??

Helen657 Fri 18-Mar-22 15:19:19

I’d love to know how many staff you’d need to employ to keep something like this looking half decent!! Probably a small army ? (the reception hall is absolutely gorgeous!)

MissAdventure Fri 18-Mar-22 15:26:27

I quite like this one.

You could chuck a few water lilies on the pond and market it as Monet's Bridge. Those Chinese tourists would never know the difference.
