Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight but looks cold outside , I had a good look at what had happened in the mirror ,and looks like a few weeks out of normal action allowing the scars to heal .
I should have had a Glaucoma Eye test at the outpatients in the hospital today , I am cancelling as it looks like a black eye on the right eye .
Plus I need to visit the opticians not fare away for new glasses .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from Salisbury. +4, I scraped ice when I left home at 6:30. Thank you for your good wishes, son was deposited at 7:45, I’m in the car park with book.
Sorry to hear your news gMattie hope he’s sorted out swiftly. Thoughts with you Chrissielou and your daughter.
Hope you all have a good day??

LauraNorderr Mon 21-Mar-22 08:20:06

Good morning all from a rather grey and dull Anglesey.
Sorry to hear about MrMattie, he’ll be well taken care of while you grandMattie please take advantage and try to rest a little.
Glad you’re feeling better Ash.
Thinking of your daughter today Chrissielou and sending good vibes.
Hope for a speed up of treatment for your daughter Gingster, I know you’re anxious.
Good luck to your son Jax, hope the op goes well.
Sensible and thoughtful to avoid direct contact for a while after your ping Stilllearning, hope you avoid the virus.
The paella looks scrumptious Urms.
Just looked out of the window, there’s a crow sitting on the electric cable with a little mouse hanging form it’s mouth. Oh well I suppose that’s it’s bacon bap equivalent.
Hope there are some random pink flamingos for everyone today
??

Good morning from a sunny but cool NE.
My friend said she would come and visit today, I have really missed her over the last two years.
Thinking of grandMattie and wishing her DH a speedy recuperation from his present health issue.
Had a lazy day yesterday, watched two films both based on real life events.
Look after yourselves.

Good morning from a sunny but frosty Colchester. One of those days when layers are needed as it's going to warm up later.
Picking up a new car this morning. We ordered it last June and had almost given up hope. DH is faffing with the old one atm. I expect we'll go for a drive to test it out and we need a bit of shopping.

Sending hugs to Mick, GM and all who need one. Love to all ?x

ShazzaKanazza Mon 21-Mar-22 08:15:48

Good morning Mick and everyone from a bright frosty Hull but a beautiful day promised again.
Mick so sorry hearing about your injuries from your blackout.
grandMattie ?
Chrissielou ? you will be a rock for your daughter but I can’t imagine how you must be feeling. I’ll be thinking of you both today.

Today is a Zoom yoga and later pick up DGS from school. We bought him a new two wheel scooter yesterday so he’ll have that to play on later.
Take care everyone ? for all with worries. Hope Monday brings everyone a moment of joy?

Grammaretto Mon 21-Mar-22 08:08:36

Good Morning everyone from the Scottish Borders. A hard frost today. I forgot to bring the washing in so the towels are stiff with ice. However it will be a sunny day and perfect for the U3A walk this am. I must put a picnic together.

Poor Mick you must have fallen badly when you blacked out.
Is someone keeping an eye on you? I hope so.

Marydoll that is not good at all. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

grandMattie. Sending you virtual hugs and flowers and extra strength to deal with whatever happens. flowers

Morning everyone. ? for GM and CL. Testing times for you both. I was awakened to the sound of a neighbour scraping ice from car. Memories! Ain't retirement grand in that respect?! My day will be tinged with a little bit of sadness as son1 returns South this evening. However we've had a fun and delightful time together so I will wear big girl pants and count my blessings. Another little boost was a small win on the lottery. Don't usually participate but it was aforementioned son's birthday so splashed out. Nice one! Think we'll finish off last night's scrabble game then go for a riverside walk. Hope you all have at least one high point today. Cheers!

Good morning everyone from cloudy Yorkshire, i can cope with cloud, its the rain that is depressing.

Meeting my cousin this am for coffee and natter in a fabulous cafe in a fabulous little town.

Yesterday we took our visitors on a sightseeing drive and ended up at a place called Hebden Bridge, it was very busy. The sun shone, it was beautiful. Lots of people sat outside pavement cafes, lots of street musicians, street food and a market was on, stalls selling home produced foods and crafts. I like to see these but i never ever approach and view the goods unless i am certain of buying, I think its because i don't want to build the stall holder up thinking they getting a sale, for me to then walk away causing disappointment....... hate the thought i have upset someone...

Anyway, enjoy your day everyone...

Chrissie thinking of your DD and hoping all goes well for her today?

Susan56 Mon 21-Mar-22 07:57:23

Good morning from misty,frosty Staffordshire.

Back to childminding duties this week.DGS has already fed his breakfast to the hamster??‍♀️I am thinking a walk to the park to burn off some energy is the plan for the day.

I am sorry to hear your DH is in hospital GrandMattie.I hope he will be home soon and in the meantime as others have said I hope you manage some rest.

Hoping all unwell are soon on the mend.

Sending a wave to Scentia??I think we are the other side of Staffordshire to you but always think of you and Ash when I see the Staffordshire sign on the motorway!

Wishing the best day possible for everyone.

Grandmabatty Mon 21-Mar-22 07:53:49

Good morning all from a frosty Polmont where it's currently -2°. A hard frost on the ground too made a little easier by blue skies above. Mick definitely call your doctor. Poor you. And grandmattie what a terrible time you and your husband are having. ? Marydoll take care of yourself. A chest infection is no joke. I, too, am thinking of JaxJacky's son.
Fingers crossed stilllearning that you have escaped the virus.
Yesterday was quiet and productive. Washings out, shopping done, garden weeded.
Today will be more of the same. I have a small ironing to do and I want to wash the floors. I have no other plans. Whatever you do, have a good day.

Gingster Mon 21-Mar-22 07:52:24

You are more than welcome Urms. It would be nice to have the company. We don’t really see anyone while we’re here and I do like people. DH is quite happy on his lonesome,!
Must organise visitors for the summer. ?.

Gingster Mon 21-Mar-22 07:49:35

Thinking of you and of course your DD today Chrissielou. I do hope she doesn’t feel too poorly with the Chemo. Just think of it as ‘a means to an end’.
My DD is still waiting for her op but has started Immunotherapy which she has been fine with. Just wish things would move a bit quicker. Time is of the essence! ??

Urmstongran Mon 21-Mar-22 07:47:42

I can only imagine your anxiety levels Chrissielou. x

Urmstongran Mon 21-Mar-22 07:46:42

Could you budge up in that summerhouse please Gingster? That sounds a perfect afternoon. I can bring my Kindle and enjoy looking out to sea....
?

Stilllearning Mon 21-Mar-22 07:43:22

Morning from frosty but sunny S Lanarkshire. No post school childminding for me today, SiL is going off for a long planned weekend on Friday so while I’m testing daily after my close contact alert, we’re not taking a chance.
I’ll not risk the book club either today or a visit to another DGD tomorrow. I’m not sure about the logic of having to test daily but being free to go out and about, but I don’t want to put anyone else at risk

Mass this morning where masks are worn and there’s plenty of room and ? continue to be crossed.

As ever, thoughts and prayers to grandMattie and all others having such tough times ???

Aldom Mon 21-Mar-22 07:42:03

grandMattie my thoughts are with you. flowers

Chrissielou Mon 21-Mar-22 07:31:39

A beautiful morning with sun shining in, it was spring like over the weekend, although a cold wind at times. We spent much of it walking and gardening.
My DD1 starts chemo today, she's feeling a little anxious how this will affect her, and so am I, but I will paint a smile on my face when I pick her up. Her main worry is keeping free of infection for the next 6 months, having chemo at any time is awful, but during a covid pandemic takes it to another level of stressful.
I hope for a better day for you GM what a worrying time for you.

Gingster Mon 21-Mar-22 07:30:47

Good morning all and we have a hard frost here on the Suffolk Coast. Very unusual as we are right by the sea. Beautiful sunrise and we’re due for a lovely day. ☀️

We are staying here for another day as the plumber is coming to discuss a new boiler. We have no idea what the quote will be. Expect the worst and we ‘might’ be pleasantly surprised. ?

GM thinking of you. ?

Sar I do hope your journey is trouble free and you can relax when you get home. ?.

Mick - get yourself to the docs. Don’t put it off. ?

A walk along the beach, followed by more clearing up in the garden . We did well yesterday. But ache a bit today. ?.
A tip trip is booked for 2 o’clock and hopefully read my book with a glass of something sitting in the Summerhouse, looking out to sea. Very therapeutic! Listening to some restful music.

Wishing you all a ‘GOOD’ day and hoping all goes ‘according to plan’ . ???

BlueSapphire Mon 21-Mar-22 07:25:51

Good morning from another bright and sunny day in Northampton, although there is a frost sparkling on the grass and the housetops opposite.

Spent a good couple of hours in the garden yesterday, tidying up the buddleias, and a couple of other overgrown bushes; also mowed the.bottom half of the back lawn, and will probably do the rest of it this afternoon. Managed to fill one garden waste bin; good job I've got two.. I must also go round the borders and do some weeding soon.

I then got carried away and ordered more clothes on line, more trousers, a t-shirt which I had been admiring in the store but was never in my size, and some underwear (also never in store in my size!).

Yoga this morning, then will go and have a coffee in the little cafe, then home to more gardening after lunch.

Hope your DH is soon made more comfortable, grandMattie, take the opportunity to rest if you can. And Mick, please get checked out.

Hope Monday is kind to all.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 21-Mar-22 07:16:42

Morning all

Oh Mick take care of yourself, hope you get your glasses sorted today.

grandMattie your DH is in the best place, try and rest whilst he is being cared for (((hugs)))

Sar53 safe journey, an empty home for the duration means that you can rest after your busy few days.

Urmstongran that paella looks delicious

Blue sky here in S E Essex,I am off to the gym and then have a coffee and a good natter with some friends.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️??

Grandmadinosaur Mon 21-Mar-22 07:05:51

Good morning from East Yorkshire where it is very foggy.

Yesterday we spent the day with the family starting with coffee overlooking the marina and then we had a pizza lunch at a nearby restaurant. Afterwards they went off to soft play and we came home.

Today I am having a good sort out of clothing to take to a charity shop and catch up on a few other jobs.

I hope your DH will get the problem resolved and be home soon GM

Take care Mick

Scrumptious looking paella there Urms I love those big prawns they look so tasty. The last one we had in Palma had snails still in shells in them ?

Take care everyone.

Marydoll Mon 21-Mar-22 06:54:38

Good morning all, its -2° here in Glasgow.

I'm so sorry to hear your news GM, you must be exhausted. On a more positive note, your dear husband is in now the hands of the clinicians and hopefully they will be able to assess him and make him more comfortable, than he has been.
Please look after yourself.

Mick, I hope you are phoning your GP this morning.

Jaxjacky, hoping all goes well for your son's op and Urms, that your DH is on the mend. Stilllearning, praying, you have managed to avoid the lurgy!

I have woken up with hay fever and the beginning of a chest infection, the first since we started wearing masks two years ago. Oh joy!
At least I have a rescue pack of steroids and strong antibiotics on standby. As I am on a permanent lose dose of antibiotics for life, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a mild one.

DH is golfing and I am off to open up the church, our four sacristans are now ill, so I'm doing a bit of supply. I shall do an LFT, just in case. After that, I will be having a lazy day.

I really need to get up, the washing needs to go out and this is injection day. I am a terrible procrastinator, when it comes to tasks I dislike! ?!

Enjoy your day folks.

Gagagran Mon 21-Mar-22 06:51:12

Good Morning everyone from a clear sky south coast. 2.7c so feeling fresh. More sunshine is forecast.

Another difficult night Mattie and you must be exhausted with everything. Hope the hospital can ease your DH's pain and that you can get through the day with a bit less stress. I am waiting to have a new crown fitted too. Past experience tells me that it is a quick job to do so. Good luck with yours.

Sounds as if you have a right shiner Mick! Can you get an urgent appointment to sort the meds out?

Nothing much planned for today so we will see what turns up. I could make a start on making my Easter bonnet for the April WI meeting but not feeling creative at present.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Urmstongran Mon 21-Mar-22 06:46:11

No Matt, it’s Monday.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s getting light. We had a major storm here last night. Plenty of thunder, lightning and torrential rain for hours.

We went to meet friends for paella last night. The photo shows what Nelly cooked - a delicious seafood one, pre-ordered so she had time to cook it. The bar was packed. It was El Classico - the football derby between Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga. There were huge roars from the locals each time Barcelona scored!

Himself is still asleep so I’ve made my own tea. I need a few bits and bobs before we go home on Wednesday so all being well we will stroll up into Arroyo later.

Sorry to hear about your husband in hospital grandMattie hope he’s home with you soon. Try and put your feet up in the meantime. Sar53 I bet you’ll sigh with relief to put that key in your own front door later today. Take life gently Mick you’ve had a shock and probably feel a bit anxious until you are seen properly again.

Enjoy Monday all who can. x
