I think that perhaps I'm out of touch or old fashioned ,but I find Naked Atractuon revolting and disgusting .

I've tried desensitising myself by watching it again, but I find it deeply offensive .

And then ,I found something which is even more distasteful Vagina Knitting .

It came out in 2013 and features an Australian artist ,who inserts a ball of wool into her vagina regardless of her time of the month and knits .

Am I alone in my reaction ?

I can’t say I’m drawn to NA so I’ve never watched it.
I did once read of Knitting Your Own Orgasm but I doubt that’d be titillating enough for those who enjoy gawping at other people’s bits.

I guess it could be argued that this is a place where we see naked bodies as they really are - rather than the perfect, gym-toned, plastic surgery enhanced ones that are the only ones usually seen on TV (and in films)? I keep hearing about body dysmorphia problems, especially amongst young girls, so maybe this programme would help them realise that their bodies are fine? However, the whole "attraction" bit is ridiculous - we usually meet (and are attracted to) people when they're clothed, and the naked bit comes well after that (but any chance to film people with their kit off, I guess!) Personally, I've only watched it once (out of curiosity) and that was more than enough for me.

My late husband & I used to watch it - it's not so much fun without him so I seldom do now, but we loved the show.

We used to groan and squeak with horror at some of the body piercings; make horridly judgemental remarks about parts of people's bodies; decide which ones we'd choose and analyse why that one and not another, and we'd decide which person should be chosen as the best match for the chooser - then we'd often go "oh noooo" when the chooser decided on someone else.

The people who appear on the show do so from choice - mostly they're clearly exhibitionists, and it's meant to be viewed tongue in cheek.

If you don't like it, for goodness sake, why don't you change the channel as soon as you've realised what type of show it is??? I swear, some people must ENJOY being offended!

MissAdventure Wed 23-Mar-22 14:15:51

People are free to laugh at what they want.
They certainly don't need anyone else's permission.

MissAdventure ???

So you find it funny talking about 'big bits' ? Have you not ever had sex? Would you know the difference and why is it 'funny,' I doubt any man would be happy for your to start sniggering at his 'bits' as you put it , or don't you know that? ........are you a nun or 13 yr old?

MissAdventure Wed 23-Mar-22 14:11:04

75 year old Ian has been the oldest contestant, apparently, sporting lots of interesting piercings.

Mummer Wed 23-Mar-22 14:08:48

I've NEVER seen the reasons behind supposedly grown mature women with presumably lots of experience with several partners tittering like 12 year olds at words like 'cock' 'willy' 'tits' etc? Or are the giggles really inexperienced and don't know how to deal with sex ina matter of fact manner? Private are so named for a reason , that's why they're not called 'publics' !!! I wish Brits could get OVER it's obsession with sex as something to snigger about!! It's so very pathetically immature and and tiresome. I used to work with a load of women all ages all married and all obsessed with Chippendale's? Although their other halves were a bunch of ugly cavemen imo.maybe they crave a decent partner but know not how to get one so fantasise instead. Pathetically repulsive programs like these should be relegated to pay per view imo if not just to avoid kids seeing them and thinking it's acceptable behaviour? Maybe sexting is also a bit of a laugh eh? Why not have sexting on curriculum then kids can q," have a laugh" too?!?! ....beggars belief

MissAdventure Wed 23-Mar-22 14:07:14

There have been some older contestants, too.

snowberryZ Wed 23-Mar-22 14:05:31

Im no prude. And have done nudist beaches in the past.
But there's a big difference between baring all on the beach and having giant close ups of your (usually plucked like a chicken) fanjo broadcast into the nations living rooms on 40" inch plus tv screens! Personally I can't think of anything more embarassing and demeaning.
What's going through these young girls minds?
Their fathers, grandfather's and uncles could be watching. Its all kinds of yuck.angry
I would be beyond mortified if my daughter were to do this.

I sometimes wonder whether the contestants have mental problems.

Mapleleaf Wed 23-Mar-22 14:03:28

Unfortunately, an extract of this awful programme was shown on gogglebox last week. It really looks to be a dreadful, vulgar programme, and I certainly won’t be tuning in. How people want to belittle themselves in this way is beyond me. There seem to be a lot of awful programmes that trivialise relationships on tv at the moment, sadly.

MissAdventure Wed 23-Mar-22 13:59:08

Utter revulsion and disgusting idea! It panders to the pervs who aren't able to relate on any other level .what fools they make of themselves.if they think they're being 'out there' or 'edgy' they're sadly mistaken.if they knew who their Audience were in reality I suspect they'd pack it in pronto!

knspol Wed 23-Mar-22 13:17:59

I watched 2/3 times when it first came out and just wondered how on earth these people dare turn up to work the following day. Never watched it since, can find better things to do.

MissAdventure Wed 23-Mar-22 13:04:47

I always think about them going to work or into a shop the day after the programme.
shock
The thought would horrify me!
