Good morning all and it’s grey and damping here in Essex.

GG - strange that you’re still testing negative. These tests aren’t foolproof obviously! ?. I hope you start to feel better soon. Take it easy .?

Lovely garden Ash - so tranquil !

GM hopefully your dh will show little improvements every day. ?

Susan - poor you. Wasp stings are so painful! Ouch!

DD had 3 biopsies taken yesterday and still awaits hearing what will be done. She has two appointments next Monday. Morning at Southend and afternoon at Broomfield. I can only think this adds to the admin problems, being under 3 hospitals at the same time! So we wait and we wait ! ?

Bridge club this afternoon which is always good fun. ?.

Wishing you all an ‘ok’ day.?

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s sunny and mild at present. My stepfather goes for his 4th booster today. I have no plans. Himself will be taking the Boy Wonder to his football practice at 6pm.

A lovely garden to look out onto Ashcombe with all the space, greenery and flowers. grandMattie I hope your day of consultations goes well.

Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

Good morning Mick and All.

Cold cloudy day in South Bucks.

Off for a 3 night stay in my old home town of Stratford although we will not be getting the spring weather we hoped for.

Love your garden Ashcombe. In recent years I have realised the mental benefits of being in nature.

grandMattie. Thinking of you and your DH ?

Good morning to Mary Kitty and NannyJ when you appear later.

Morning Mick, morning All from an overcast corner of Somerset.

Yesterday went to plan in the morning, finished some garden chores and had time for a long phone call from our goddaughter in the afternoon. She worries us, so anxious and stressed. I’m wandering out today to meet a GN friend. Our coffee usually finishes with afternoon tea smile.

Will be thinking of you with the meetings today grandmattie, not surprised you slept ash. A sad day bluebalou. We also intend to follow the advised vaccine schedule, gaga, Mr C has had his second booster, not time for mine yet. Sensible to rebuild confidence mick.

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is gentle with us all.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it’s very grey and I can see a few spots of rain on the car.

What a lovely garden welcome for you Ashcombe. We sailed on Barfleur to Guernsey from Poole.

Good to hear your DH kept his food down Mattie.

Beechnutella and I enjoyed our glamping weekend in Wales. We visited a garden centre for plants and treats. Spent a lot of time in the hot tub and drinking wine. Sunday would have been a significant birthday for DH and we usually spend his birthday together.

Today I’ll potter and do some washing.

Have a good day all ???

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate. It has been raining so the gardens shall flourish
Good to hear your DH is improving GrandMattie
Your photo is beautiful Ashcombe glad you got there safely
Today I go to the church art group where we are learning about using resin! I have to wait for a hospital phone call before I go though. So hope I’m not too late.
Have been spending a lot of time trying to organise a trip to Ireland for myself, DH and my sister, we have a wedding to go to in June. We had hoped to fly and hire a car, but they don’t hire to over 70s, which has given us a challenge! That’s work in progress just now
Can you not arrange to meet a friend Mick? That might boost your confidence? Take it easy though.
Have the best day you can folks

Good morning from a dull and slightly misty Derbyshire.

Not much planned today, apart from the school pick up this afternoon. After a few very busy days, and still feeling under the weather, I'll be glad to have a quieter, more relaxing day.

Hope all with worries and illness, be it their own or that of family members, have a better day.

Pittcity Tue 29-Mar-22 07:23:45

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Rain is expected which the garden needs but I don't.
Charity shop volunteering day so I'd best shake a leg.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from Shropshire.

We had a lovely day with DGS yesterday, lots of Lego and play doh. When DD and SIL got home from work we went out for our evening meal which we really enjoyed.

When I finally got to bed after a very long day I had a nasty surprise.A wasp had got in the bed and stung my foot.He then flew off and we couldn’t find him so I feel I slept with one eye open!

Today I have a hair appointment for cut and colour.I will have to walk there as the car is in for a service.

Good to hear of small improvements with your husband GrandMattie and hope you soon feel able to start your usual trips out Mick.

Beautiful garden Ash.

Hope all the Covid warriors are feeling better today.

Have the best day you can everyone??

GrannyGravy13 Tue 29-Mar-22 07:19:15

Morning Mick and all

Pleased you and DH have arrived safely Ashcombe

grandMattie baby steps for your DH to a peaceful control of his symptoms.

It’s grey outside, but I am not going anywhere. Feel slightly better apart from this blasted headache (not a migraine, but muzzy and sore) still negative.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

BlueBalou Tue 29-Mar-22 07:12:02

A murky grey and wet start here.
It’s my best friend’s husband’s funeral this morning, so a somber day for many today.
I’m glad I got much of the garden up together and it certainly needs the rain.
I hope you all have a peaceful day x

LauraNorderr Tue 29-Mar-22 07:11:15

Good morning Mick and all from misty Anglesey. No plans today, a day off from volunteering, might try and finish a painting of tulips that currently lacks depth.
Hoping for random flamingos for all especially those with worries.
???

brook2704 Tue 29-Mar-22 07:02:27

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve a misty murky start to the day and it’s turned much colder
It’s good to hear your DH is making some small improvements each day GM
Today I’m off to my Fitsteps dance class and then a bit of shopping in town
Beautiful picture of the garden Ashcombe enjoy!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

ShazzaKanazza Tue 29-Mar-22 07:01:45

Good Morning Mick and grandMattie and everyone. I’m sure you’ll soon get your confidence back Mick and you’ll soon be doing your trips everyday again.
grandMattie that quilt is looking gorgeous I showed my DH the pic last night he was very impressed. Pleased your DH managed to enjoy some lovely food. Hope he has a settled day?

Today is a busy day. Shopping for my uncle in Bridlington and picking up mum and taking her and the dog the her caravan where she’s staying a fortnight. It’ll do her good but pity it wasn’t last week when the weather was lovely.
Yesterday ended up picking up DGS at lunchtime as his special needs unit has to close for the afternoon and today also due to staffing shortages from covid and the main school is on skeleton staff as well so they couldn’t pull staff from there either. The unit needs a higher ratio staff to pupils so it was them that had to close. We took him to an indoor play with high climbing so that burnt off his energy.
Hope our covid friends are feeling better today.
Take care everyone hope Tuesday brings a moment of joy??

Good Morning from a 9.3c south coast. There is a thick cloud cover and we are promised rain showers. Much needed on the dry gardens but I shall miss the sunshine we have got used to.

Better news this morning, from you Mattie, which must ease the constant worry a little. May today bring more positive news, fingers crossed. flowers

Glad you are being careful Mick. You concern many GNs on this thread but maybe you have listened to us even if just a bit?grin

DH is off for his 4th jab soon. He has an 8.30am appointment at a local pharmacy. Mine is tomorrow afternoon at the GP surgery. We intend to follow the advice to keep having the vaccines. My elder sister has decided she is not having any more as someone has convinced her that "they are experimenting on us". Pointless to argue with her so I don't.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can. sunshine

Ashcombe Tue 29-Mar-22 06:48:15

Good morning, all, from a mild Sartre where we arrived safely yesterday evening, following a smooth crossing and safe onward journey. Our view is shown as we enjoyed a welcome cuppa in the garden.

On board we enjoyed the facilities of a Club Class lounge onboard Barfleur, including the company of a couple whose life was very different from ours as he teaches at a boarding school. Although the ship wasn’t full, disembarkation took far too long due to the palaver of checking date stamps of previous visits and adding new stamps. (Thanks, Brexit!)

A busy time all round for you, grandMattie, but finding little joys within your day (eg birdsong and DH eating something) must be such a comfort. I hope the meetings with medics are productive.

Having experienced two time changes in 48 hours, we were both very tired and have slept for an incredible 9hours!! A rarity these days!

Wishing you all relief from cares and worries. ???

grandMattie Tue 29-Mar-22 06:13:56

Good morning from a still dark E Kent. I haven’t looked outside yet, but the birds are singing their little hearts out…
DH, although very wobbly, was better yesterday. He was very proud of having kept down 5 chips and 2 “naked” fish fingers.
I spent the rest of the day sewing, backing the squares. I need to finish quilting them, then assembling, etc.
I managed to get to the supermarket after dinner last night.
Today is full, full, full; with various meetings with consultants and oncologists…
Be content and seize the day. ????
