Ah, thank you.
I think I'm almost at the end of my tether with it all.
I am going to venture into the kitchen soon. (Hopefully!)
have you ever been mistaken for a race/ethnicity/ancestry that you are not?
The weather has turned and the beautiful sunshine of the past week or so has turned to rain and an overcast sky. Yesterday my dear brother was here helping me sort out the spare bedroom which had slowly turned into a junk room!!! It is now going to be called the 'attic' Things that I want to keep but seldom use are now packed neatly in boxes and a cupboard and chest of drawers. I can find anything now instead of having to search for what ever it was. He took everything away I didn't need or want and will dispose of for me. Its such a weight of my shoulders. Today I have a small stack of items which need to be placed in the garden shed so will do that later. I have an old work colleague coming for lunch and my gp ringing this afternoon for a meds review. So a full on day again. It would have been lovely if the sun was out again but the weather won't affect what I'm doing.
Ah, thank you.

Oh MissAdventure that sounds very frustrating and tedious ?
Your having a rotten time Miss A, hope there’s some improvement soon.
Not mine.
I'm still in bed.
Been here for the last year or so, mostly.
Ditto, Jaxjacky and when asked “how are you today?” it is nice to be able to say “a lot better thank you”.
DH has only a faint 2nd line on LF test today and hopes to be out of incarceration before me as he is 4 days ahead.
Sorry you had to cancel weekend plans, we didn’t have any (hashtag Billy-no-mates) ?
I hope to read about everyone else’s day which will be more interesting and productive than mine.
With you Tilly day three.
So, what am I doing, not a lot, we were supposed to be going away this weekend, cancelled of course, there are always other weekends.
Still, better nights sleep was had, nose dripping less, cough abating and appetite returning, onwards!
The plants are still in the garage as it's really wet here this morning. I optimistically did some washing but have had to hang it in the porch. So I might tidy the sideboard instead.
I lead such an exciting life..
Had my spring booster yesterday. First three vaccines were Pfizer, no problems at all. This was Moderna. Feeling a bit iffy today and my arm hurts, so not going to do much at all.
This afternoon I am picking my GC up from school and bringing them back here for pancakes (as requested) then their Mum will arrive and we will all go to the communityt hall over the road to watch another GC performing in a panto.
This morning I am hoping for call from surgeon who did spinal nerve block, as it has not been a success and I need to know what to do next. Doubled my opiate patch dose with no improvement.
Luckily I can still drive as I am at my most comfortable in the car seat.
I am going to colour my hair as my appointment with my hairdresser was cancelled yesterday as he has covid & can't reschedule until 22 April by which time I will definitely look like a zebra!
This evening we are off to The Gielgud Theatre to see To Kill a Mockingbird. Taking DGD1, who is doing her Drama GCSE soon & enjoys live theatre. It is a long production so I hope I stay awake!
I am going for brunch to a friend's house in a while. Shortly I'll go to Aldi for food for the week.
I’m off to a farm with two DDs and two DGSs. Easter egg hunt and other activities. The boys will have a snack lunch and the we’ll have an early dinner on the way home. Hope the weather behaves.
I've been up (too) early, just hung washing on the line. I'm going to a Zumba class at 11, then meeting my friend for coffee at 2. After dinner this evening, I'm going to go to a local pub where there's a punk band playing.
Grandmabatty thank you,
and for making me laugh ?? ?
Work, work, work.
Very pleased with how much I'm earning, but not keen on all the extra hours.
Tillytrotter ? for you. I hope you feel better soon. I'm actually embarrassed by the amount of ice there is. I knew it was bad when the Titanic sailed past.
We did that last week Grandmabatty . I couldn’t believe how much water there was!
The wind here is threatening to whip the heads off the daffodils - you wouldn’t be planting today henetha !
Today I am feeling sorry for myself as suffering from most symptoms of positive Covid (day 4). It will pass.
I wanted to plant some little shrubs and things I bought at a garden centre yesterday. Not summer bedding plants as it's too early. But although the sun is shining it's a cold wind outside.
So, to plant or not to plant, that is the question.
I gave my glass greenhouse away when our grandchildren arrived. I have been using plastic covered ones since. Got a new one last week filled it with trays of seedlings. It’s blowing a gale here I have to wedge the green house down properly and save trays of seeds now all over the place.
I am defrosting a very iced up freezer. It is switched off,as is the fridge. There are sodden towels already. There will be icy pools and slush later. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated at this difficult time ?
Nothing very interesting!
I'll be doing an hour's brisk walking and buying a few odds & sods on the way home, including a small pepper grinder. It's quite windy today - a fresh breeze according to the BBC weather page, which is usually a bit of an understatement.
I've been having an 'eat from cupboard & freezer' episode - it's very satisfying to see things getting a bit low before the Ocado order arrives tomorrow.
Just made some end of week soup and hung the washing on the line. It is so windy here that that was a real work out. I have one of those whirly lines and I was running around like a mad thing. DH is out cutting the lawn. He said he will keep a look out for escaping washing. Other than that, as it is supposed to rain after lunch, carry on with book corrections, knitting or a bit of t.v.
made my weekly visit to the market forthe next weeks fruit and veg. Then the beautician came to tint and shape my eyebrows, after lunch I had a 2 hour zoom session with the local archaeological society sorting out our summer fieldwork programme and hearing some ofthe research results of last summers work, by which time it was time for an evening meal, then did some paperwork and googling about a project I want to start. Then bed, Good night.
Went shopping this morning for bedding plants. Prepared a nice meal our son and his family came here for tea.
Our little twin granddaughters never stopped eating. No matter what I gave them they must be having a growing stage. It was a lovely afternoon but now nanny is having a glass or more of wine exhausted.
After a really lovely day out with family yesterday (2 sons, 2 GDs and girlfriend and child of one son), today is a bit flat. It's raining and dull. Son1 and his girls have gone to the cinema so whilst they're out, I'll clean up a bit and have a tidy up.
